I was on glp1 for about a month, 10 pounds down, feeling great. I saw all these people loving reta & was like I could love reta too perhaps. I bought from eternal peptides & took first dose today and I literally have no suppression or anything of the sort. Is this just how it is when you first start Reta or is it the batch I got? Lemme know.

When I started Reta it was like a switch got flipped. I swear I would open the fridge 20 times a night just to make sure everything in there was ok. Now, it’s a couple times a night for water. My son in law started 3 weeks ago @ 2mg a week and he said the same thing. He works with a guy that snacks all day long and he was partaking. Since he started Reta he doesn’t even care about snacks. Your experience is completely opposite of his and my experience.

Everyone reacts differently. Some get instant suppression at .5mg and some don't feel anything until 6mg or more. I started at 1mg twice a week and didn't feel much until 5mg twice a week (Took 2 months to titrate up). Currently at 6mg and it's working fine. Not as strong as Tirz but decent.

I have been strictly on triz for my journey. I had researched reta and a majority of people had said they did not have the same appetite suppression as tirz at lower doses and one titrated up to 6mg they got the suppression. You can always go back to whichever glp-1 you started with and was losing weight.
Good luck on your journey.

I think I might switch over to triz it seems people have better surpression with that, I wish I would have gotten that from the jump but what can ya do. Thank you.

When you took your very first dose did you notice a difference? Or did it take a couple doses?

Started Reta at 2mg/wk and did start to loose some weight. I t really revved up when I hit 6mg. significant decrease in snacking and feeling full after a few bites. have settled on 8mg/wk at this time but don't feel the fullness while eating anymore. Down 105lbs in past 11 months. Did a spread sheet and the major weight loss peaked at the 6mg dose.

I don't believe 2mg of reta is the same as 2mg of tirz but with glucagon. I think 4mg of reta is about the sam eas 2.5mg of tirz. I switched from 2.5 tirz to 2mg of reta and after waiting for a month, I titrated up to 4mg. There is less appetite suppressant but it burns the shit out of fat for me. So it's better for me and I get to eat.

Saying this rhetorically and not at one person... If you need to feel starved to feel like you're losing weight, maybe reta isn't for you. Tirz did make me not want to eat and I lost weight AND muscle to show for it. Reta seems to help me retain muscle.

I'm 3 weeks in. I pin every 5 days on reta. Started at 2.5, and am up to 4. Want to get to 6 and hold there for the easy math on my incoming 30mg kit. Reta hasn't KILLED my appetite, just suppressed it, in a good way. You don't want to starve yourself friend! Just get eating under control and establish better habits which becomes easier when you aren't thinking about food and snacking constantly. There's many other metabolic benefits you can read about being on reta.

Might be a bit early to judge the batch..

I assume you mean Semaglutide by GLP1, you do not need to use code words here. If I knew what dose of that you were on it might help explain your current lack of response.
I had next to no response to my first few doses of semaglutide, but then had super horrible nausea as soon as I tried going above 0.5mg per week. I had way less nausea from tirzepatide, but needed much higher doses than I expected to suppress appetite.
Everyones' responses to these medications are a bit different and the same persons response can be unexpectedly different to different GLP's. One dose is not close to enough to have any idea of how well it will work for you. If you started at 1mg and increase every 4 weeks it could be a few months before you get a response or it could be after your next dose.
Presumably the aim is to reduce excess weight and keep it off long term, this is a lifelong issue for most people who need these medications. Despite not yet being officially approved, everything so far from the research says Reta is the most effective weight loss drug in history ( that does not kill you like DNP ), but it does not work overnight. The normal dosing schedule takes several months to slowly build up to the standard maximum dose of 12mg.
The reason for starting at low doses and slowly increasing is to prevent horrible side effects that last a week, as the drug has such a long half life. So you will usually get some milder side effects as you increase doses slowly rather than being hit like a ton of bricks by vomiting that lasts a week, or like someone on this forum who had non stop hiccoughs for 2 or 3 weeks.

You sound just like me. At 2mg, appetite suppression was real, and still is. I lost 5lbs that first week, but we did cut way back on beer and carbs. We're currently just pinned the 3rd at 4mg and everything is still the same. Losing 3lbs per week. Not sure if I'm going to titrate up to 6 or 8mg after the 4th pin at 4mg. I guess I'll see what the scale says. I have a spread sheet in Excel that I started when we did, wife and me.

Let's talk in 3 weeks, when the drug will have reached its highest concentration in your bloodstream. I also hope you tested your batch.

100%. Not Reta but I didn’t really feel much on Tirzepatide until 7.5mg.

People seem quick to jump the gun on Reta for some reason.

No I did not test it, I only got one vial.

How many milligrams are you taking? Where are you injecting? Stomach, thigh, upper back/arm? The trials start from 2-4mg the first week. People here prescribe to 'lowest effective dose' (LED) and start lower. If the vendor has recent janoshik purity tests, then it is likely legit stuff imho. I started at 3mg into side of stomach and felt the effects pretty quickly.

I took various shots and basically I'm doing about 5mg after 2-3 weeks. But I might just do 2mg/week to test the LED method, plus I have a plenty of water fasting experience I can lean into and with a lower reta dose. This might be effective for me. Have lost maybe 3-5 kg during this time. I don't have much to lose, maybe 7kg max more.

I had horrible gas and diarrhea the second or third injections (was injecting about 2mg every 3-4 days as well) into the stomach and switched to the thigh. No gas now.

My first two months I was taking Zepbound. Month three I switched to Reta @ 5mg and felt the same appetite suppression as Zepbound. I’m aware not all have the same results as I have (down 90lbs since August) but for me it’s been a godsend.

I think maybe I just am not getting the same appetite surpression as I was on the semaglutide but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s not working I’m now realizing, as I am still continuing to lose weight. So maybe I just was used to the feeling of semaglutide. I’m not sure.

It takes time to build up and if you have been on other GLP1's you may need a higher dose or time to build up in your system.

I took Reta first time 0.5mg on a every 3 days schedule, day 1 felt nothing much, took my next dose two days later, then started to feel it was mild but helped me stick to my diet, By week 2 which I am in now I feel the apetite supressant strongly I can easily eat high protein but I end up in a 600-1000 calorie deficit, I have to eat until I am almost sick to stay in a 400-500 cal deficit.

Interesting thing though is the night before my next dose I find it easier to eat, then I dose and I am like oh yeah I am super full now, so the half life, and peaks and dips I feel a fair bit and I am on a more often dosing schedule. I was thinking if I move up a dose to go every other day, but soon I will do weekly because I have 8 days of travel back for 12 hrs then 5 days of travel so I will just do 1.5mg before my 8 day trip and then 1mg before the 5 day trip then back ot 0.5 every 3 days.

We started having just a protein shake for lunch, and then eat a semi normal dinner. Some type of protein, beef, pork, chicken or fish. Along with it, maybe cottage cheese, a steamed veggie or similar. The shake at lunch has made a big difference. I was always full before dinner, and didn't feel like eating.

2and week at 2mg and i have never been this hungry! Its like someone send me the opposite of reta

Reta right? I got nothing till around 6 or 8.... now im on 10mg every 6 days and not much suppression so i add 1mg of sema. Works for me. Id go to 4mg on week 3 though lots of peeps will say they spent 14 years to titrate to 4mg. Someone will say they lost 80lbs on .5 mg and never titrated. Im not cautious but a lil stupid ( intelligent on paper, life choices nah). You gotta do you. Whats the worst? Nausea for 3 days? Of course someone will argue acute pancreatitis.... not on 4mg of reta... good luck and dont get frustrated.

But you did lose the weight, even if it did not help with food noise?
For context, I used Mounjaro for seven months. I stayed on 5 mg for four months and later increased to 10 mg. I never experienced a strong appetite suppression effect. It mainly helped me say no to late night snacking, and I had zero side effects.

In total, I lost 30 kilos and went from 30 percent body fat to 18 percent. Over the last two months, I regained 7 kilos.

I am considering starting with 3 mg at the beginning of the week and adding 1 mg later in the week if I do not notice any effect.
