Tirz Freezing/Defrosting

Time-convenience; less waste of 30 mL opened bac vial.

The consumer convenience factor is why pharma companies have made trillions from extended-release pills, and why they're making trillions from weekly rather than daily GLP-1 injectables, and why they're developing monthly GLP-1 injectables.
Thank you. Good info.

I took a 60mg (actual 69mg) vial of Tirz, reconstituted it with Hospira Bac and split it into 3 vials and froze it. I'll pull one in a couple days and give it a go before this weekend and report back.
ngl this is actually my plan, just so i don’t have to make multiple orders, take up less space in the fridge (shared), etc.

i’m starting at 2.5mg tho so idk if that’s a good idea regardless.

Sigh. I've got T-30 that's filled to 34 mg (3 kits.) If I like them at 22 mg/ml (and I do), so if I recon them with 1.54 ml of bac water each, I can use an entire bottle of bac water in one shot if I do nineteen of them. Divided by 8 mg, that's 80 weeks of frozen tirz, and the bac water that was used to reconstitute them was used and frozen on the same day that the bottle received its first puncture. I can pull one whenever I'm low, thaw, filter into a cart, and that's 4 weeks plus a little.

So if I really believe that tirz is fine when frozen for a little under a year and a half, this really IS the smart call, because there's a convenience to it (loading a cart becomes 20-30 minutes less time because I already did the recon-and-wait-to-dissolve part all at once), bac that's been sitting with a puncture for almost no time before it went to the freezer, and the only downsides are the psychological blow to my hoarding brain (which apparently counts reconstituted differently) and the superstitious fear of "degrading" my tirz by leaving it in the freezer for so long.

ok sorry for the double post, but OH! I use 12 ml for a klow cycle. That leaves me with 18 ml instead of 30, which means 11 vials, which is 46 weeks, and that feels less dramatic. So if I make sure that if I'm doing tirz, I do it when I do a klow cycle, then that one-shots the bottle with less...extremes of volume.

I'm fairly certain it will be fine after reading over and over again how robust it is. I've read that cagrinlintide will tolerate it even better than Tirz. Reta might be a little more fussy but if handled correctly should be good without much degradation.
So, I did it, I took my 69mg vial, split it into 3, 23.3mg vials and froze them. I took the 1st vial out of the freezer and stuck it in the fridge on thursday morning, it was thawed out and crystal clear on friday morning and I pinned it. I have tinnitus (a condition that causes ringing in my ears, Tirz makes it louder (so I can tell if the Tirz is working) Sure enough the ringing started getting louder and today I have sulphur burps which is another tell, lol. My appetite is gone as well.

i just made sure I was using sterile techniques, gloves and a mask and used all fresh needles when reconstituting and aliquoting...Sprayed down my working area and everything I was using with alcohol first.

Going to try it with my Cagri which is supposed to be the most durable of the Peps that I have, and eventually with my Reta and Survo stock when I start them. they say Reta is a little trickier but that it still works, you just aliquot less amounts and do like 2-3 weeks worth at a time to keep efficacy high.

Anyways, I'm not sure why people have been telling folks not to do it...It clearly works and I feel zero difference, if anything my symptoms feel stronger (maybe the vial had a little more fill). So, I say buy the big vials of Tirz at the discounted prices and aliquot!

@thatkatmat btw how many ml was per vial. did it expand by a lot when you froze them? how did you store them in the freezer? was sterility a point of concern for you?

1mL per vial, actually ended up being 1.08mL per vial as the mass of the 69mg added about .25mL to the total. I put them in sterile 3ml vials using individual syringes for each vial, wore a mask, used gloves and wiped my work area with alcohol first. I don't have a hood so certainly not 100% sterile but I did my best. I placed them in a peptide storage box in the freezer rightside up and that was that. No expansion that I could see, no issues with the vials or rubber when thawed. Yes, sterility was a big concern for me, but I mitigated where i could. I had no issues with the injection site and today, almost a week after the day i thawed it, the 1st vial is still clear and looks good. I will pin again Thursday.

***I should add that this was just a test for my curiosity and i don't suggest anyone do it. I stated in my last post that "I say buy the big vials of Tirz at the discounted prices and aliquot!" that was irresponsible..., I shouldn't have said that but it won't let me edit it out. What I should have said was that "I should have bought bigger vials at discounted prices"

-Cheers

Thank you for sharing. I am still considering my options, and I’m torn between being economical and making my experience as easy as possible

You don’t use pens? Where did you get your vials? Are they that K Tek brand from AE, or did you procure them from elsewhere

Well, I have pens but don't use them, I don't do daily peps so, I'm good. I bought my vials from Peptide critc and Underground Sup. and a few others...Not Amazon. I did my best to find sterile vials.

Just saw that on another forum, I only freeze mine once, I feel no degradation, same feelz. Now that I've done it and found out it works, I'm good. Sometimes you just have to do the research yourself.

so you did reconstitute and then freeze? I reconstituted a vial when I got them in the mail and I'm just now getting to the point of needing it (ran out of name brand). I had planned to test if it still works after freezing it since my compounding pharmacy suggested freezing theirs.
Oh yea, and then when someone wants one I give it to them. Ive had zero issues freezing tirz.

This has been a great thread. I just ordered my first gray tirz, and I was thinking of the pain or reconstituting every 4 weeks, but doing the whole kit at one sitting and freezing has lifted my spirits. Thanks everyone.

Keep in mind your future dosage titration, and what that will mean for the number of units of your kit-reconned jabs. Will it then fit in your syringe?

Yes! It should - I bought a size that will make four doses, so I should be able to use one bottle every 4 weeks. Making 10 and freezing 9 till needed just sounds so much easier than having to go through the whole reconstitiuting ritual for every new bottle. I can do it once very ten months rather than every four weeks.

I meant anticipate your increases in dosage over the 10 months

Ah! I hope not to go up any further. I have almost no appetite at the current dose. But if I do I can buy the next largest bottles and put these away for emergencies. It will still be a huge bargain, and not much more than 3 months telehealth for enough to last years.
