I'm shook tbh

I was cleaning out the fridge last night, giving special attention to nooks and crannies, and there sat a little inconspicuous tupperware box. It looked like there was paper or something, so I checked it out.

AND WHADDYA KNOWWWWW

Right there, on the foil envelope package it probably came in, was a little bottle that said,

Tirzepatide, 10 mg
99% Purity
Research Purposes Only
complete with a wellness themed lotus logo up on top.

Everyyyythingggg made sense then. Her dietary changes, her weight loss, the pack of insulin syringes I found a couple weeks back...

We're all scientifically-minded researchers in this house, apparently 🤣

P.S. Giphy ... kinda sucks.

P.P.S. She apparently uses just sterile water. She seems okay. Don't know how long this has been going on for.

P.P.P.S. I was a little nervous about everything prior to this discovery but now...???

Keep her off the forum or shell be on 8 things at once, researching another 4! This wins the internet today for clever humor going above and beyond....

If she ever gets off of Facebook, I can't imagine what kind of hoard we'll end up with 😂

Funny stuff, at least now you can get her some bac 🤣
Matter fact, I got two on the way!

So you're not going to tell her how to get her tirz at 16 cents per milligram, and bac at $95 per milliliter or whatever it's up to? And just pretend you're not a Tupperware-pryer instead?
Caught me 🙈

On a serious note though, we probably don't feel comfortable taking the risk for the other. I do want to talk about it, but I don't think I should when I've barely gotten my feet wet at this point. I have considered just pretending not to see out of respect for what she chose to keep to herself, even if it's a facade. If have any advice on this front, I'd sincerely appreciate it. 😅

I personally wouldn’t ask her about it or say that you saw it in her fridge. She decided to keep it private and we’re all entitled to medical privacy, even from our own family members. This is a huge issue in my family. My dad has loose lips and if you tell him about your ailment(s), then my whole family will know. I also wouldn’t tell any of your other family members.

If you have no concerns for her health or wellbeing, then probably best to let mom share when she’s ready. You can probably move that discussion along by casually talking more about your own peptide use with her.

As the mom in this situation I'll share my opinion. 😆 If she she knows you'll be supportive and even be helpful, I don't see anything wrong with mentioning it. In fact, she might be relieved that someone knows. Reassure her you'll keep it between the two of you if that's what she wishes.
I kept my compounded stash at work for an entire year. Then one day when my son was being a bit critical GLPs I confessed. They all about fell off their chairs. My weight loss wasn't huge so they hadn't really given it much thought.

Now they're all lining up for their own peptides! I think if someone would have confronted me I would have just confessed and it wouldn't have been a big deal. I'm not really sure I knew how to bring it up.
How old is your mom?

This is exactly my concern. Since we share the same fridge, maybe she'll see my stash and bring it up first. I'm considering the option of telling her I'm going on medication preemptively, or waiting about a month or so for the right effect.

Honestly, it's painful to think how much that single reseller might've cost. At least $150-200. Or more. A T30 kit has 30x the amount for nearly half the price. Psychologically, I'm worried I can't convince her they're effective if they're that cheap.

Thank you for sharing this. It makes me feel a little more hopeful it'll turn out well. She's in her 60s and as strong as a horse. People are usually surprised to hear her age.

The sterile water thing concerns me.
Yep, be the son that shares the hospira. 👨‍🔬
Me too. Don't know how I'm going to teach my mother, of all people, the proper ways of peptide reconstitution. As in, I don't know how I'm going to start with BAC water and not continue with filtering of course. And since we're already filtering, might she be interested in pens? I can be very thorough sometimes, and it's probably very tiring to deal with 😂
