The testosterone and tirzepatide combo has been a game changer for me. About 3 years ago I was inspired to start working out again after a long time away from the gym. I was pretty overweight at 5foot 9 255 pounds.

Got back in the gym 4 days a week. Got a little stronger but did get the results like I did in my 20's and 30's. Had my doctor add a total T test to my bloodwork work and it came back around 260. I tried for a year to lift and thought that number would go up. Tested again after a year and it went down to 150.

Hired a good TRT guy and started on 120mg of testosterone a week. Almost immediately my strength started coming up and so did my appetite. Before I new it I was 270 not good pounds.

I decided to give tirzepatide a go. Tighten up the diet, kept lifting and in about 8 months lost 70 pounds while getting stronger the while time.

Everything improved, cholesterol from 220 to 160, BP normal, every biomarker in the green.

At 50 years old im in the best shape of my life. Modern chemistry and hard work paid off big time.

If your male or female getting to a certain age, get your levels checked. Getting things in the upper normal range has been life changing.

Hello
When I was living in Florida around 2022, I started my TRT treatment, which I'm still continuing here in Spain. I had mild hypogonadism and was prescribed 200 mg/week.
I'm currently 48 years old and I'm also in one of the best physical states of my life thanks to TRT and Reta.

I started TRT around 3 years ago 200mg a week split into 2 shots. I lost 20lb in the first 2 months with TRT alone. I started Tirz about 18 months ago and have lost over 80lbs total with both. I've been stuck at 215 for about 6 months. I recently joined a gym and have been working out to try and build more muscle. I'm pretty tall at 6' 4" and at 47 I feel like I'm 30 again.

I've gone as high as 200mg a week split into eod injections. Im at 175mg a week these days. This gives me full symptom relief, haven't needed an AI. Im pretty lean these days and do t aromatise too much into estradiol.

Hitting the weight pile this afternoon!

You're going to love lifting. Between have good T levels and all the weight loss you should see results pretty quickly.

I personally started TRT through my PCP around July-August of last year. I've been unsatisfied with PCP reception of My expression that the prescribed dose of 200mg every other week leaves me feeling horrible come week 2. I decided to get UGL test and dose myself at 250mg/week split Monday Thursday. I just had my blood drawn today 48hrs after last pin. Will be curious to see what my total, free test, and estradiol are at. Still get my prescribed testosterone, but currently stock piling it for when I travel.

Sounds like the good time to take your labs and prescription online to get moved to a 200mg/week prescribed (or more).

They charge an extra ~$7.50/week for 250 or 300mg/ml, I think I read.

Yes!!! Extremely interested. I am 51, and just asked my dr. for full labs and bloodwoork, also testosterone. She said she didnt know what rhe copay was with a testosterone test andni said it didnt matter. She suggested morning bloodwork to try to get a good as reading as possible, because apparently levels fluctuate throughout the day?

I currently work out and weight lift 5 days a week at work, muscle is hard as rocks, but not getting bigger or growing. Be nice to be a little bulkier more defined, have lost 100 with 40 more to lose.

Anyway, that was last wednesday, and i got back oodles of stuff back feom blood work and urine. Everything looked good besides i have elevated ferritin... but have seen nothing yet for testosterone, is it called something else on the blood test or is that it? Is it hard to test for and thats whats taking time, or maybe she didnt add it to the tests?

I dunno. My real question though is where do you pin that?

Test is higher in the morning and lower in the afternoon. If you want TRT from your PCP, good luck lol, i wouldn't test in the morning.
Lab will say Testosterone total and free along with E2. You can always purchase your own with Goodlabs, PM for 20% off code.
You can pin IM or SubQ.

With exogenous test suppressing endogenous production, I thought time of day mattered less than taking it at the same point in the injection cycle, typically as close to just before the next injection as practical?

I'm ok with PCP "managing" mine for the sake of prescription. My medication cost for Rx test cyp is $14 for 10ml of 200mg/ml. The UGL test I get is 250mg/ml and cost me $35/10ml vial. For $175 I get enough ugl to last me a year.

I need to see if Peter MD and my insurance will cover it… if not I’ll probably move to PeterMD’s annual plan at $79/month.

Got most of my labs back today, still waiting on DHT. Otherwise my paltry 120mg/week has my free at 23pg/ml and E at 26pg/ml with a SHGB of 18.6nmol/L.

Add GH and 5mg if Cialis daily - become super man 😉

What was your total at? With that low of an e I don't see why you couldn't increase your dose if all other markers are in check, and you wanted to of course. I expect my total to be north of 1000 with the current dose I'm on. But bloods will tell.

Supraphysiological test is a YOLO strategy at the end of the day. You can't realistically test and image all the effects of it. High normal hematocrit is not ideal. And women live longer for a reason.

From the studies that do exist (like the HAARLEM study), heart function declines at least temporarily. Prostate enlargement is eventually guaranteed, especially when combined with HGH. Not to mention kidneys (nephrotoxicity), tendon injury, etc.

I've tried subq in my upper outer thighs and stomach. Then tried Intramuscular in my delts and ventral glutes. I prefer IM in my ventral glutes. I pin every other day.

These are the conversations I was hoping would happen in this thread. Men need to be more open with this stuff. It can truly be a positive change in your life and should be shared openly.

We dont have to accept getting old and frail. We can extend the number of quality years we get. The right diet, training, hormones, supplements and hard work makes all the difference.

Not to be the annoying reformed drinker, but stopping the booze 6 years ago probably was the best health related decision I've ever made. Next to stopping the cigarettes when I was 24.

38 male- I just started Trt three weeks ago. Levels of low 300 and free in the 30s. Always tired, foggy, low drive, hard to build muscle, crap sleep. Three weeks in and feels like a smoldering fire now. Decent energy, no longer dragging every morning, fog almost gone. Started Cialis a few days ago 5mg a day. Feeling better there too. Order of hgh for coming in a few weeks.

Lost 55lbs so far on Tirz, recomping my body like crazy. Best I’ve felt in 10 years,

Total was 681ng/dL, hemocrit was 48.3% down from 49.4% on my starting labs.

Almost all my labs were good. HDL was low at 34, Reverse T3 slightly high, cortisol slightly low… that can probably be explained by being 14 weeks into a cut dropping 2.8lb/week (1% of my starting weight, 1.15% of my current weight).

Yo! I need the UGL plug 😉

I did the annual plan $1100 for the year and only received 5 vials. 160mg/week. It's good to get your feet wet and talk briefly to a doc that knows what they are talking about. I stocked up on UGL at $30-45 a vial and follow my blood work for dosing.

Loving this thread. Anyone in here on the younger side? I'm 30, have 4 kids and just got a vasectomy. I know I'm young right now but test was at 460 total and 10 free and I'm really tempted to start 100-120mg/week to help solve my energy issues and give myself a little boost in the gym. Lift + cardio 6 days a week and currently around 13-14% bf at 6'1 192lb. Tried enclo already and hated it. Numbers skyrocketed but felt worse than before. Been off enclo for a while now and still feel a lot of low t symptoms even with a good diet (as good as it gets with 4 young kids) and around 7 hours of sleep every night. I know I will get on eventually. I also work for a clinic so I get provider visits, labs and test for free. Question is, am I dumb to start this young?

What does the cialis do when added daily (besides boners, I mean)?
Lowers blood pressure.
Great as pre workout to get a good pump (not down there).
Lots of latest research available.

22% lower major adverse cardiovascular events.

30% lower all-cause mortality.

Not bad, what doses show these results?

I am 35, I was diagnosed with hypogonadism. I personally went through my primary care physician (family doctor). I can't speak on your situation, but when I was diagnosed my total test level labs were as low as 210ng/dl. I was depressed, unmotivated, never got good sleep quality, always felt tired. For me the changes have been worth it. Having already been formally diagnosed with hypogonadism I pretty much knew my levels were never going to improve without medical intervention. I am happy with my choice.

I’m 39, I was also hypo (under 264ng/dl) now and 5 years ago when I first got tested.

I had no fun harpooning myself the first go round, the provider was trash. Now I have a tele provider, they’ll answer questions but mainly they give legal access and are interested in treating symptoms (better money for them). The original pcp prescribed 50mg/week IM, laughable.
