Sounds like an amazing trip!
Traveling in Europe in the 70s must have been quite an adventure.
And spending an afternoon under the Leaning Tower of Pisa sounds pretty perfect.
Iā€™m relieved the ravioli incident happened in France and not in Italy.
If that happened here, the pasta police would have been called immediately.
If you ever come back to Italy, let me know, Iā€™ll make sure you finally taste the real DOC stuff.

Congratulations! It's honestly such a relief to see that other people have felt as lost and overwhelmed as I do. I'm just trying to read and learn as much as I can without asking too many annoying questions. I like the structure here because it's really encouraging me to engage more than I otherwise might. I don't want to just be a lurker anymore
 
It looks like my Apprentice badge has been sitting in the rearview for a bit now, so naturally Iā€™m starting to wonder when the next milestoneā€”Enthusiastā€”kicks in. Is there some secret handshake, a hidden checklist, or does it just happen one day when youā€™ve posted enough and stopped secondā€‘guessing every tiny thing? Mostly trying to figure out when I can officially claim Iā€™ve ā€œbeen around long enough to know better,ā€ even if thatā€™s only half true.

Honestly no clue, but my guess is it just happens when youā€™ve posted enough smart things and finally stop second-guessing everything šŸ¤­

Thank you, thatā€™s really kind.
I donā€™t know about ā€œevolvingā€ā€¦ šŸ˜Ž but Iā€™ve definitely picked up a few lessons along the way.
For now, Iā€™d say these are the main ones:
  1. You really have to pay attention and not underestimate anything.
  2. You never stop learning, thereā€™s always more to understand.
  3. Thereā€™s no one-size-fits-all, everyone responds differently.
  4. Going slow and being cautious makes a big difference.
  5. And probably the biggest one: experience teaches you more than any guide, and thereā€™s a lot to learn from those whoā€™ve already been through.

I totally get your temptation to hit the freeā€‘shipping limit, but for your very first order Iā€™d say hold back. Thatā€™s just my ultraā€‘cautious vision (lol). I'm still trying to figure out what I want to order. I know I need more reta soon and I for sure want to get copper. I'm still researching what to get to combat this extreme fatigue from the reta, so I don't think the free shipping limit will be a problem. Super-cheap me will see to that.šŸ¤£

In this case, I fully support not upsetting your inner cheapskate, we must protect her at all costs, and free shipping basically becomes a mission at that point.
