Has anyone else run into this?

I just got a message from one of my vendors (not naming them) saying they don’t ship to certain ZIP code ranges, including:

  • 00600–00999 (Puerto Rico)
  • 09000–09999 (APO/FPO military addresses)
  • 34000–34099 (U.S. Virgin Islands)
  • 96200–96699 (Pacific military / overseas territories)
  • 99500–99999 (Alaska)

Caught me off guard because I’ve had orders go through before without issues.

Curious if:

  • This is something new vendors are starting to enforce
  • It’s related to customs, shipping carriers, or risk policies
  • Or just certain suppliers being stricter than others

Anyone else seeing this lately?

I think it's related to risk policies, going to us military members?

I wonder if Guam will be added to the list?

None of these surprise me. Not all companies who ship to US ship to these geographical areas. Amazon to PR takes forever.

Just now running into this as I went to make a re-order. Extremely frustrating.

I was thinking the same thing. None of these surprise me either, but I'm actually surprised that Hawaii isn't on the list. That's usually also included in the list of where some US retailers won't ship.

I hadn't noticed. True about usually being exempt from shipping. AK and HI get shafted.
