Hello, all,

I'm wondering if anybody living in Canada here often order Tirzepatide or similar approved GLP1s and if ever it was seized and what was the consequences?

I'm asking that because of the recent crackdown that Elly Lilly is doing and what I should do if ever it happens to me.

Thanks!

I’ve ordered it several times and I’ve never had a problem with the packages getting through customs.

I have had other non-GLP-1 packages seized (containing perfume, considered “hazardous” because it’s flammable), so I fully understand your concerns!
I did have success with Amopure, however. And it was shipped quickly, too.
QSC charges Canadians an extra 20% as “insurance” and says they will re-ship if needed. But I don’t recommend that company for other reasons.

I don’t think anyone can give you a definite answer since there are several factors involved.

But if you are worried about the potential consequences I would recommend that you read up on how to transact anonymously with crypto.

There is another thread where this was discussed in more detail, but I can’t find it at the moment.

At the end of the day, you are innocent until proven guilty - so without any proof that you actually ordered/requested/paid for the shipment, there will not be any legal consequences. But it is a bit more complicated than that and it could cause a bit of a headache anyway - so I won’t say that you definitely won’t get in trouble… But it is possible to hedge in a way where you can safely order more or less anything as long as you “play it right”.

So for a kit of tirz, I wouldn’t be overly worried. But I would avoid ordering it in a way where it’s simple for law enforcement to slap you for it if you are worried. Realistically the chance that your package is stopped isn’t very high - for most countries the seizure rate of a package containing 1-2kg of weed would be around 2-4/10. So that should give some perspective on the actual risk, I don’t have enough data in smaller peptide shipments to give a number, but reason says it should be significantly lower.

Let me know if I’m being too vague and I’ll elaborate when I find time.

Canada customs is notoriously persnickety. I don't believe that you would be investigated for a suspicious package. The risk is laying out several hundreds of dollars for a package that is seized and destroyed. This is why QSC charges Canadians 20% more than Americans.

This is good to know! Can I ask, which Chinese vendors have you used? Did they charge you extra for being in Canada?

I’ve just used Amo so far. I’m looking at ordering some stuff from QSC in the next month or so and I know they charge extra in case it’s seized - which is honestly a comfort. With Amo I’ve definitely made smaller purchases than I usually would just in case. Amo’s packaging is very discrete which absolutely helps (though I would assume they all do discrete packaging).

But the fact that they charge you extra doesn’t guarantee anything. QSC is notorious for either ghosting or verbally abusing customers when things go wrong—whether the mistake is theirs or their customers. So we know that they charge Canadians extra, but I have never heard of them actually extending customer care of any sort.
