Seized in Honolulu? What now?

My order was maybe 3-5 kits. It has said Clearance delay on my tracking number for more than 12 days.
I'm curious if anyone else in the US has gone through this. I'm assuming this means it was seized. Wondering if there are any repercussions.

The vendor told me I should change my name and address. Of course that kind of freaks me out. lol I hope she just means If I order again. lol
 
Hopefully your vendor will reship. Some have guarantees, some don't.
You may not be able to get a fast pass or Global entry pass. That is brought up a bunch, but I can not say if it is actually true, versus an urban legend.

Customs may flag your name and address, and it can pop up for extra scrutiny. So yeah, it may behoove you to change it on the reship.
 
You don’t use an alias on shipping?
 
I don’t understand how this wound matter, legit alias email and alias phone number, legit address. Is it a US customs thing for you guys?

Not sure how a vendor would know. Not sure why usps or fedex would send it back as anyone may have added a roomate or have a guest for a month. Good point but ive read it happened a handful of times. Maybe if ur not home to sign and they want you to pick up, you cant provide id for Michael Mclovin...so they wont release it.
 
My understanding is that USPS policy is to deliver to a house if the address is valid, but only to deliver to an apartment if the name on the envelope somewhat matches the name on the apartment (which is usually written on/in the mailboxes). Since renters move so much more often I believe the rationale is to avoid delivering mail for the last person who lived there.

No idea why it would matter for FedEx/UPS, though, unless you were picking up the package from one of their locations and had to show ID related to that.
 
Most vendors don't reship until it hits 30 days delayed. It may still be released. I had one held for 10 days once and it still made it. If you get a Seizure Letter, that will confirm it, just don't respond. You don't know who sent it to you.

I've lived in apartments all over the US and have received mail for former residents in every single state.

ETA: none of my shipments have required a signature. Not from CN or US origins.
 
This is why I only buy from those who specifically say they will reship if there are customs issues.
Also, all of my stuff gets shipped to my dog. Our mail carrier was informed that the dog's name is valid at this address just in case. We didn't say why, but he does occasionally get treats delivered under his name.

As a former rural carrier a long time ago before full automation, when I was there we only forwarded/returned mail of people that filled out the change of address forms. If there was a random name going to said address, we would try delivering it. If the customer refused it, we would leave a note in the slot we sorted their mail to return anything for that name. So, if it still works the same it shouldn't be a problem mailing things to your cat named Mr Fluffykins.

I don't know who you're shipping from, but I had my package held in LA for 16 days. I ordered 10 days before CNY and they said it would go out, but it didn't. Got shipping number 3/4, it hit customs 3/15, and cleared 3/31. Tracking says it has moved now, so I'm hoping it arrives USPS in the next day or two. Of course now they're paving my street today!

I've had the same thing you described happen too. All I can tell you is what I posted was explained to me by several postal employees on occasions where I tried to receive letters addressed to friends at my apartment that showed up on informed delivery, but then weren't delivered. I suspect the reality is that it's hit or miss, depending on employee. It's also possible it varies by region, although that would be odd for a federal agency.
 
I definitely think it depends on the delivering Post Office based on service swings within a 25 mi radius to both rented and owned properties.

Or maybe the postal service has liked my pets wherever Chewy has delivered to them. Hahaha

What's great, I'm not super rural, but not a bazzillion homes around. All the people who deliver here from USPS, UPS, Fed Ex and Amazon are the same people we've had for years. They wave, say Hi and they put stuff in the garage if it's open, not the entry. I told them once years ago, and they just started doing it.
 
Here's more info on the current shipping situation, including a FedEx rep's comments on what's really happening in the peptide space, and a US vendor's perspective:

Comments from a Customs broker for FedEx imports who has this to say:

"Everyone is under the impression that there’s more monitoring going on and they’re only half right. In comparison to the amount of volume being brought in on a daily basis, less than 0.1% get stopped by customs to be reviewed.

Side note: Customs does not review every shipment that they stop. They’ll be lucky to go through half of the shipments they stop. Most of the time, the shipments that are released are delayed due to them forgetting about the package.

When compared to the amount of volume coming through, there’s a minimal amount actually being stopped. Any packages being delayed from CN side is due to their government so I can’t speak on much for that portion. The other thing people don’t seem to realize is the amount of CBP officers that are actually active in field inspections for air cargo. I can’t give specifics but it’s nowhere near the amount some people think there is.

Most of the time these packages that are being stopped are due to the commercial invoices being too vague or the description not matching the package dimensions/weight.

Example: if the commercial invoice states garden shears and the package is a 6x6x4, that’s suspicious. FedEx won’t put a hold on it but Customs ACE System will flag it for a CBP officer to review."

From a USA vendor receiving shipments from China:

They say that this looks less like a new shutdown and more like a familiar post Chinese New Year pattern: factory inspections take place throughout March and during this time USA customs inspections increase, shipments slow down, and panic fills the gap. Their view is that delays are being mistaken for something more dramatic, and that some vendors benefit from encouraging that interpretation.

My hoarding impulse has taken a breather, for now.

This information gets passed on to the substitutes and anyone learning the route, when I was working at the PO, we kept notes. I still remember some of the people and houses that I delivered to in the mid 90s. For instance one house had a home office, they preferred the packages to be delivered to the side door.
Then there was the Long family that lived next door to the Cox family, sometimes when sorting mail I would say their last names out loud.

The way it should be, but unfortunately it's not anymore.

Kitty some require signature. May be vendor requested, idk.... ive left a note on my door with sharpie writing that says fedex/ups please leave package.... print my name and sign and theyre fine with that. They snap a photo, got ur signature, theyre covered... i had a few emails from vendors saying package come in few days for signature.

Nice. Same here. I got a pack with just my name, state and zip, no actual street address.... my post girl delivered it. She gets snickers in the fall, jerkey in the summer and a giftcard for the liquor store at christmas.....shes my nephews wife.
