Immediate reaction after 0.5mg injection

Hi everyone I wanted to share an experience I just had with my injection of 0.5mg to see if anyone has encountered something similar.
Immediately after the injection, I experienced a sudden onset of body warmth and a noticeable increase in heart rate. I also noticed a brief swelling at the injection site right after pulling the needle out.
The needle felt a bit blunt during entry, i used the same the needle when getting out the reta from the vial. When I withdrew it, a small drop of blood appeared at the site.
The swelling at the injection site subsided relatively quickly and has calmed down since.

Has anyone else experienced an immediate systemic reaction like warmth or increased heart rate? I know Reta usually takes longer to peak.

That's normal.

31g 6mm. straight in i think, maybe slight angle.
7-8 cm besides my belly button.
no first time i used it. i did filter it before with a pes 0.22µm filter and put it in a new vial.

never had a problem before. i was injecting tirzepatid before with no problem with the pen and also with an insulin syringe (golden dose). maybe it was the dull syringe? i had some resistance which i normally dont have when injecting.

Yeah I think I hit a blood vessel. I started feeling the hunger suppression just a few hours later, and I also noticed a higher heart rate, which I believe is normal with Reta.

I've never done that, and you'll need a luer lock syringe with extra needles. What brand of syringes are you using?

Did you recently reconstitute? Very strange symptoms so suddenly

Higher heart rate is something you can objectively measure and quantify. Otherwise, the "feeling of" may be attributed to anxiety, which can itself increase heart rate.

When you inject, hesitation can be a factor for an unpleasant experience. I did a better job injecting when I started than when I got lax with my technique. So maybe that is a factor, but I am reluctant to conclude anything since it is a new kit? Or just a new vial from an existing kit? Or did you buy single vials?

Minimal in my case. Normally about 72-76 I guess, been running around 76 lately. Cardiologist tomorrow. We'll see if he catches anything. They'll for sure be comments on my weight. I was 207 last years appointment and probably 182-183 tomorrow. I peaked at 215 in Dec-Jan when I started this stuff. I bet he figures it out, he's a tad younger.

That was the craziest reaction I've ever had to any peptide/medication/drug. I guess I accidentally IV'd my pin. It really shook me up and I sat there involuntarily shaking for a solid 5min afterward.

NAD+ is definitely the issue there. The worst seems to be MOTS-c by IM. Anyone using MOTS-s by IM seems crazy to me. CJC w/ ipa is also known for bad, systemic reactions.

For me using 6-mm syringe needles, laying the skin flat helps the most for comfort (with fatty abdominal areas). Occasionally injecting into my upper arm also works well, do nothing special. I always inject straight in with 6 mm, and I usually use a 45-degree angle for the 12.7 mm needles.

It is not impossible you managed to hit a vein, I'm pretty sure that has happened to me once, but logically the most likely thing is a reaction to the injection, just from the pain, or visible blood , or a bit of anxiety increasing sympathetic nervous system activity or a minor vasovagal response. Vasovagal responses can happen out of the blue to very minor triggers.
