i know tirz does well with being frozen after reconstitution, and there was some people that freeze their pre filled pen cartages to no issues. im wondering if the basic easy touch insulin syringe would also survive? like the rubber plunger keeping its integrity. id feel like you would have to store them standing needle up with a little air at the top/ in the barrel to keep the expansion from squirting some out but just wondering if anyone els has thought of this? im just in a weird spot with too big of a vial that im not going to use up before its gone, but feel like the best use would be to pre load some syringes and keep them frozen until im ready for that one syringe.
thoughts?

That's a new angle, I don't recall it being brought up before?

TBH, this sounds like a bad idea on a lot of levels. First of all, freezing reconstitute peptides is generally considered bad for them. Then we have sterility which would be compromised storing in a needle. And storing them in a plastic tube that was designed only to be used for a few seconds.

Feels like you are overthinking. I'm assuming you are thinking about discarding meds after the 28-day window. Most people use things for considerably longer and I think any sterility risk related to this would be less than those of storing in syringes.

How'sabout transfering into another or more vials, freezin, then only thawing what you intend to use in what ever you consider an acceptable time frame??? Good sterile practices used at every step, of course...

I've read about a few compounding pharmacies that send their meds out that way. Which doesn't make it right (or wrong), but presumably means the state-licensed pharmacist who oversees their operations allows it.

Many (including me) consider 90 days the "safe" time period for a refrigerated reconned vial of tirz (assuming alcohol-swabbing before every puncture of the vial). If the large vial you have fits that window, that might be preferable for you. And will give you flexibility if you find you want to adjust the dosage up or down, or split-dose, or whatever.

tirz is a very hardy peptide and it only loses like 2% degradation from even repeated freeze thaw cycles. as for the plastic tube thats why im asking, but ya they aren't meant to hold things long term like the pen cartages but i am considering it...

its more so a combination of ignorance before i joined here and impulse purchase of too big of a vial. im allready about 5-6 weeks into my vial and id say im maybe 1/3 the way through it and would like to save it. if i was to sperate the remaining into other vials they would allready have a 5-6 week cut in the lifespan and would probably want to divide it up into like 6 vials if i wanted to get the most out of the tirz. or i could pre load the syringes and use as needed without having to worry that i allready burned like half of the life span.. if you are comfortable with a 90 day use limit that is. if you are someone that throws it out after 28 days im allready well past that lol. that is my conundrum

interesting, id ont think ive heard of a compounder doing that. i wonder if they are just the basic syringes or something better along the lines of one of those fancy pen injectors, i feel like htose would be way better but sadly i dont have one atm

it hit me last night when i was thinking how im going to have to get a bunch of sterile vials and split up a bunch of 30mg kits i got in a group buy and freeze them as people have said in another thread to keep from wasting the golden elixir. and how im going to have to do the same for the 1 vial im already using right now and already like 40 days into it but then ill have to keep track of the dates etc and then it hit me but couldn't find any other threads on it...
kinda cant believe ive had an original thought on here lol

Before I went gray and knew anything about peptides, I pre-loaded my compounded Sema into the insulin syringes. Didn't freeze them. Next week I'll use the last syringe after about 8 or more weeks. Still works, I'm alive with no ISRs, or any problems at all.
So maybe a consideration for a one off type deal.

i guess i will have to do the experiment myself. i will report back...eventually lol
Just do one or. a couple in different ways to try it out and see what works.
No reason to blow a whole vial on it just for yes/no.
Personally, I think it will work. Remember that when it warms up the air is going to expand so it better be pointed up when that happens! I'd keep the caps on for safety except you really cant on the plungers.

The annoying thing and yet another advantage of carts, is that the needle might be a bit more dull by the time you use it.

oh ya, im just trying to save the last few weeks of the vial that i think might be pushing a bit too far. like 120+days to use up the whole thing so worst comes to worst i haven't REALLY lost anything.
ooooooh ya i gotta keep them pointed up the whole time. good looking out, i probably would have put them flat down to thaw not thinking about it.

Funny thing about water is that it expands when freezing then also expands as it warms up....
