How was your fatigue with Cagri?

I have a bunch of CagriSema in the freezer that I have never used before. Kinda tempted to try it because I have a busy two weeks coming up and tend to stress eat. But that also means I cannot take something that would make me overly tired.

I also have Reta which I have had very few sides from, but it didn't do much for me in either weight loss or appetite suppression (at least not at a 4mg dose). I went off it for a few weeks, pinned 3mg a few days ago and feel almost nothing in appetite suppression.

What do you guys think, try the CagriSema or bump up the Reta? (Unfortunately I didn't think ahead and buy some Tirz which might actually be the best solution for this scenario).

I have had zero fatigue. No side effects from Cagri other than some diarrhea. I stack 12mg Reta every 7 days with 2.25mg Cagri split dosed.

You are on a relatively low dose of Reta. The 3 test subjects I manage did not respond well until 8mg or more.

What do you have experience with?

3-4mg of Reta is fairly paltry for big folk.

I haven't pinned anything before Reta. I'm currently 5'6 and 160lb (highest weight 190). Lost 10 lbs on Reta but was f'ing starving the entire time lol. I might just be a weak responder.

I'm not opposed to it. Debating whether to do that or try CagriSema instead since some have said it has better appetite suppression.

Maybe I am just overthinking it and I should just pin a higher dose of Reta.
In theory, cagri may help reset the body's set point for weight (unlike the GLPs). That's another reason I am interested in elora.

Anyway, CagriSema does seem promising:

The "CagriSema" Synergy: This is why Novo Nordisk combined them. By hitting the GLP-1 receptor (reducing intake) and the amylin receptor (potentially lowering the set point/maintaining metabolism), they are seeing weight loss numbers nearing 25% in Phase 3 trials like REDEFINE 1.

Appetite suppression isn't an issue I have at higher doses. I moved from Tirz to Reta, took a couple doses of Tirz along the way to control food noise, but otherwise haven't had trouble with overeating.

Wait rlly I haven't heard about this before and would love to do more reading on it. Could you share where you learned this if you have the links on-hand? I have heard of Reta increasing your metabolism but I didn't know that about Cagri.

Edit: Thanks

In theory perhaps, but even though Cagri completely killed my hunger, I hit a hard floor weight-wise regardless of what I eat, it’s been 8 weeks.
I did 4 weeks at 0.25mg and 4 weeks at 0.5, due for 1mg I guess.
7mg Reta 2x/week (total 14).

Zero side effects though.

Note that I’m at the end of my journey (16 months GLP-1a and 5 pounds from goal).
I’m just saying that hunger suppression yes, homeostasis long-term not so much (or not yet).

Yes, titrating up would be the most logical thing right now. You have a lot of room to escalate your dose. And even though reta may have less hunger suppression than other glp-1 medications, evidence suggests that at higher doses that reta’s suppression kicks in. If your sides are well managed it makes sense just to titrate up.

I’m also not sure if your cagrisema is already mixed for you. I personally would add cagri or sema and not cagrisema pre-mixed. Just my 2cents.

I started adding cagri to tirzepatide about a week ago, but I had already passed the max dose of tirz and even gone over max FDA dose.

Interesting, and it leads to a sales pitch for elora ("cagri 2.0"), which is definitely selective for amylin (and almost twice as effective for weight loss than cagri). Cagri is arguably dirtying up the amylin effects by hitting calcitonin as well:

Preclinical and clinical data support amylin as an anti-obesity hormone, whereas the role of calcitonin in obesity remains more uncertain.

So at least for a while, instead of the brain having a new set point, it just thinks it is sick (with more side effects and food aversion with cagri than elora). Of course, I don't assume we will be able to take elora for a year or so and then not need anything for maintenance.

We should know eventually what is going on, if Lilly checks the effects after discontinuation like they did with tirz (SURMOUNT-4). The weight gain was so dramatic after stopping tirz, that elora seems it can only fare better. Stopping reta could cause even more of a rebound effect than tirz:

You lose the GIP-driven nutrient partitioning, the GLP-1 satiety, AND the Glucagon-driven calorie burn all at once.

I also had a similar experience. I religiously track all of my weight loss at different dosages of meds and reta didnt have as big an effect on my weight as tirz (was using 8mg reta vs 10mg tirz). Tirz had a very pronouced effect on appetite suppression that reta did not. Probably because tirz is ~twice more potent at GLP1R than reta.

Cagri is ok. Its strong initially, induces fatigue but both of these are more or less short lived. Weight loss was also not very pronouced with cagri (around 0.5lbs per week extra i think). Honestly i think tirz and cagri is a great stack.

I personally stack tirz and survo which gives me Glucagon receptor agonism and potent GLP1R agonism as well. Best of both works and its worked best for me than either cagri or reta.

Hey now, don't miss this opportunity to overthink. What about tirz with reta? Reta with sema with Jardiance? Reta with a vacation to Europe? Intermittent fasting with tesa? A Canadian diet based on beer and poutine, to confuse/reset the whole system?

I like the vacation idea

How do you like the Cagri so far? I forgot to mention dry mouth.

Really love it so far. It's totally quieted any food noise that I was having to zero. It almost reminds me of my early days on tirzepatide. Basically no interest in food. But luckily, the sides have been nonexistent and I'm still able to eat.

But then how will I use up all my FOMOtide?

The loss of hunger with Cagri is wild. Totally like a Tirz throwback. But the dosing is very sensitive. Just a bit too much and I feel nauseous. Hit it just right and it’s amazing.

Totally agree, it's kind of wild. Cagri a much better stack for me than the sema I added last fall.
I think you described it best with "loss of hunger", which is subtly different than the quieting of food noise that tirz and sema do so well. I just haven't been hungry since starting, while I've still been able to nourish myself. I'm eating now truly to hit macro goals. Not eating out of any hunger stimuli.

I'm definitely going low and slow with this stack. Seems to be powerful stuff.

Glad to hear about the positive experiences with Tirz + Cag. I have some Cag on the way for future consideration.

I say that because I'm 11 months in with Tirz, at a 12.5mg dose split into 6.25 every 3rd and 4th day, Tirz is still working (SW 310 April 2025, CW 213) for suppression, noise, and tolerability. So I'll keep the Cag for when/if the Tirz alone loses effectiveness.
