I am looking for anyone who has overcome this side - currently on 6mg a week reta, loving it as weight is dropping and im able to hit macro's however the skin sensitivity is crippling. I am taking x2 antihistamine a day along with zinc to combat it (previous advice) but still feel like my hair follicles are needles coming out of my skin.. any advice?

I suffer this as well on reta and it's prevented me from going higher than 3.5mg/week. Don't have any silver bullets for you however regular old Advil or similar works well along with lidocaine/hydrocortisone cream (though I guess not so much for your hair! 😀 )

I had the sunburn feeling on my stomach and back when I upped my dose of tirz. It lingered around for about a month and finally went away.

I experienced that as well at about the same dose level. Only thing that worked for me was taking about a 10-day break to reduce the amount in my system and then re-starting at a lower dose. I’ve read other people who just pressed thru and it eventually went away for them though.

Creams don't work unfortunately - I missed a dose and now going to split the dose to twice a week hopefully that helps!

I tried to press through but its just miserable! Ive missed a dose now and will split the dose in two moving forward

If it is that unpleasant , and it does not sound like fun from your description , you are probably going to have to drop the dose. If it is only bad the day or 2 after a dose splitting doses might help, but it won't if the problem lasts all week. A lot of people on here have reported the problem slowly fading over time, so you may be able to bump up doses slowly after a month or 2 if it settles down on a slightly lower dose.
I had a few episodes as I was rapidly increasing tirz doses, but now get a consistent mild version of it a lot of the time with 15.75mg of tirz and 5mg of reta per week. I cannot increase the reta dose at all without it getting much worse.
I have never seen an explanation of what is going on with nerves or neurochemicals to cause it. Do the antihistamines actually help? It has to be GLP-1 related as it was common in the high dose ozempic study, and it only acts on GLP-1, but it does not explain at all why it seems more common with reta.

I switched from injections to insulin pens. I tested the pen before use and it only had a small deviation of a few percent. Last Monday I used the pen for the first time. I thought I injected a dose of 4 mg of Retatrutide.
From Wednesday until today I had very sensitive skin and a lot of itching. I was really disappointed. Luckily it is getting better now.

I decided to test the pen again. It seems that it overshoots because of the spring, so I probably injected 6 to 7 mg last Monday.
So I can conclude that increasing the dose too quickly causes a lot of side effects.

Does anyone have tips for skin problems? KPV?

I've been dealing with this skin sensitivity issue since I started Reta almost eight weeks ago. I'm still dealing with it, although it has lessened in intensity these past two weeks. Still, a pain in the ass but I'm getting closer to my goal weight so I can deal with it.

I started getting it at 6 mg. I lost the weight quickly at 8 mg and just sucked it up. When I went down to 4 mg ( maintenance dose) it disappeared. It's annoying but losing the weight was important to me. You can either suck it up and then hope a dose reduction works, when you get to goal weight, or you can switch to something else. It's annoying but not a threat to your health.

Yeah, its awful but it does go away. I was on the verge of quitting reta and then it just stopped.

I was on Reta for 6 weeks, first vial came from US resell, then I switched to a china vendor on week 7 and developed hives 2 days after my first dose. But to complicate things, I was on my 3rd day of Enclomiphene when the hives occurred. According to ChatGPT, most likely culprit was the Enclo. I took Zyrtec twice a day and discontinued Enclo and symptoms disappeared in 3 days. But I’ve been taking the Zyrtec now for 10 days out of paranoia. I officially stopped Zyrtec today and take my next Reta dose tomorrow. Fingers crossed I don’t have some sort of Reta allergy, but I’ll find out soon enough. Before the Enclo I noticed my skin felt warm, but never had hives before

Yeah hives are totally different then skin sensitivity! Deffo somthing is off with the enclo..

I had it for months, got used to it, then one day it disappeared. Exercise is the only thing that did help my symptoms during that time.

Thank you for sharing this. I'm over here climbing the walls. At first, I thought I was just getting chills easier after losing almost 50lbs. No its the Reta skin sensitivity thing. And I love everything else about Reta, including how it seems to boost my workouts tremendously.

I am on 4mg Reta now, and it is my fourth week. I am going to Titrate up to 6mg, but I will keep hydrating, electrolytes daily, and weightlifting 4x/week. And a small dose of Tirz for the food noise cancellation.

In case it is interesting , and it might be relevant to thee above . I am on 15.75mg a week of tirz and 5mg of reta split into 2nd daily doses. I always thought the skin sensitivity was just from reta as it got a lot worse even with tiny increases in doses. I have never really changed the tirz dose since I got to 15mg, but did an experiment the other day where I had an extra 1mg of it and it made the skin sensitivity just as bad as extra reta does. Wish I could understand what is going on with the receptors with this problem, but have yet to find any research at all on it.

It is the only side effect that made me think about not simply lowering the dosage and toughing it out but actually think about considering quitting. There were some very terrible weeks along every step of the journey but in my experience it does fade away if I spend long enough at a given dosage. Due to all the sides combined I had to skip a shot after the 2nd week at 4mg and sorta reset. Skipping a dose was very beneficial. It was a nice reprieve, a nice period to reset, and nice feel some sort of normal for the first time in months.

Same here, i have skin sensitivy from the beginning, after 3 week its seems to be a lot less. Some days are worst than others. but i'm a bit scared ot titruting up for that reason.

Had the sunburn feeling for the first time on my face with this weeks dose. I usually get incredible itching between my shoulder blades. For me, a shot of 500mcgs to 1mg of KPV does the trick, lessening symptoms within an hour. Some people have had good luck with this, some not, but for me it 100% works.

Do you take Glow or Klow or GHK-cu+KPV separately from dosing KPV solo for the skin sensitivity?

Just straight KPV. I have metal sensitivities so I avoid the copper.
Ah gotcha. I ask because I’m about to start my GHK-cu + KPV cycle and wondering if the KPV in the cycle might help… if you were also already dosing some KPV in one of those stacks, then it would suggest that more KPV was needed.

Maybe before you mix them, give each one an individual shot to see if it helps with the skin sensitivity. Then try mixing them to see if you get the same effect/non-effect? I know it's kind of agony. But it would also be good to know how you react to each one in case the stack bothers you.

While ideally I agree, the other side of that is ISR concerns for the GHK-cu, which along with high dilution, the KPV (mixed together) helps buffer as well.

i had it at 4mg and it got pretty intense at times. I tried zinc picolinate, antihistamines, but nothing did anything. It eventually went away after a month.

This is the worst side effect for my RS. RS sheets feel like a heated blanket. Luckily as other have stated it reduces as RS gets acclimated to dose.View attachment 20470
Excuse me, but I demand to know more about the chicken in your profile pic. Do you personally know this chicken? And if so, does he or she have a name?

🤣 I met this chicken, but they were wild. Unfortunately due to the wild nature of the chicken, I knew I’d never really KNOW them. That fact combined with the style of the strut made me take the photo.
