Starting reta today!

WEEK 2 UPDATE
I am very unhappy with my progress so far as I do not have food noise, but I do have hunger! Even though I don't think about food, i do get hungry, and once I eat, it really taste good and I can just eat as much as I normally can (almost).

I believe this is because my protocol is so low at 1 mg a week. So, I have decided to up to 2 mg a week, which is the starting dose in the clinical trials that have given the best results (24%-26% ish weightloss). I have also decided to inject once a week because that is what the trials have done.

WEIGHT
Last week: 93.3kg / 205.7 lbs
Now: 94.3kg / 207.9 lbs
Difference: +1kg / +2.2 lbs

Pretty crazy I went back up in weight. I am not quite sure how, but to me it seems that I have lost some fat around my belly, it looks a bit tighter. So, I have no idea how to interpret this, but it might just be water fluctuations.

PROTOCOL

2.0 mg reta Friday afternoon (6 pm ish today)

DIARY
Saturday and Sunday eating like normal, but 3000 kcal on both days which is way too much. On monday I ate 1000 kcal which is weirdly little. Then 1500 kcal on tuesday which is fine. Then 2000 on wednesday which is still fine but borderline not fine. Then on thursday and today (friday) 2500 kcal which is not fine because that is basically my maintenance calories.

PLANS FORWARD
I hope to keep 2 mg for 3-4 weeks. I hope 2 mg will actually make me eat consistently less and help me lose weight. Cause right now, 4 out of the 7 days I am basically eating just normally! Over really long time that is good, but it is not "easy". So, hopefully 2mg makes it a bit "easier".

Pretty standard i guess, but i was surprised by the stealth packaging. It was packaged as if it was some other product. Pretty cool.

I mixed one vial of 5mg reta with 2ml of bac water.

And after one hour in the fridge the vial looked like this (dry on the right for comparison):

It looks pretty clear, which made me happy, because i read that fogginess means its bad. So, if this one is actually reta, then at least it's not bad.

I have injected 20 units, or 0.20ml into my belly fat, which means i have injected ̶1̶m̶g̶ 0.5mg.

I use g30 0.3x13mm. I think it is a bit too long needle according to the llms, but this was what they had to sell me. For now it seems okay, because i have a lot of stomach fat.

This is my first time, I was planning on injecting 0.5 mg just, but i just completely forgot and injected 0.20 ml probably because I was so excited.

I am writing this post about an hour after injection and I don't feel nothing yet (obviously) except very excited!

Hi, where are you currently based at? Im at the center (Oslo) where customs are the strictest in Norway. Wondering because im worried that they would seize my packages. + consequences etc. etc.

im in Norway as well. I was also very concerned about that but it seemed to have come through fine for me.

I started Reta at 0.5 once a week, then split it into 2 doses of 0.25. My sweet spot ended up being 3 doses of 0.25. My body usually starts adapting after about 3 weeks, and then I increase each dose by another 0.25. This way, I can control hunger, reduce food noise, and still get the benefits from glucagon.

I have a strict diet plan with 4 meals per day. When it gets close to mealtime, I get hungry too (not impulsive hunger) and when i eat it stops. Maybe having fixed times to eat will help you too.

Reta don't have this huge supress appetite like others, and thats why is better... your body needs eat to get energy and preserve mass

Hey, great post detailing how you have done it so far.

The hunger i am feeling is not at all "food noise" where i think, when is the next time i can eat, or I need food or I want to eat something. But it is more physical. I can feel in my body (what i believe to be the stomach area) that I am very irritated and that it lightly hurts somehow. Since I have done a lot of cutting in the past without peptides, I recognize this hunger as when I am being in a calorie deficit.

Despite not having food noise, I will succumb to this hunger feeling anyways. Another problem is that when I eat, I seem to eat larger portions just fine. However, notice that all this is just on 1mg a week.

Now, for the last week, i have increased to 2 mg, and honestly, there is a huge difference for me now. Now, I can eat a 200-300 kcal meal and be happy for 3-4 hours. So, I do that 3-4 times a day, which results in about 1200-1500 kcal i reckon.

At first, on 1mg, i did not have a meal plan. I just wanted to see what it did to me naturally. Now, on 2mg, i do actually have a meal plan: i eat 4 times daily (sometimes 3) and the meals are consisting of just proteins and fibers. So, I can eat a whole 300g chicken breast with 100g kidney beans. That's one meal. I find this is enough for me to feel somewhat satisfied such that i don't want any snacks. This has been working WONDERFUL for me the past week (since last friday when i started at 2mg).

The best pricing I've seen on Reta is 140mg kit (1400mg in total) for $320 with testing included. Price per mg puts the cost for 50mg at $11.43. The most I've paid for Reta was $.79/mg for R20 (one kit to get started/reduce vial life) and the typical R60 I've bought was $.48/mg.

I think it's just unit price gets better the more you buy. For instance, I think 30mg x 10 vials costs like $200 but 60mg x 10 vials (which is double) costs $300 and not $400, you know?
 
WEEK 3 UPDATE
I am very happy with this week's progress!

My appetite suppression has been amazing! I injected 2mg last friday (7 days ago) and already on Sunday I was feeling pretty good appetite suppression. It lasted until today I would say.

WEIGHT
Last week: 94.3kg / 207.9 lbs
Now: 90.7kg / 200 lbs
Difference: -3.6kg / -7.9 lbs

Insane that I have gone down almost 8 lbs! I find it a bit hard to believe and the scale must have been wrong last week?? Because last week I only weighed like once (on friday) but this week I have been weighing everyday since Monday. So, I am sure the current weight of 200 lbs is correct. I have no explanation for this.

PROTOCOL
2.0 mg reta Friday afternoon (8 pm ish today)

DIARY
Saturday I ate maybe 2500 kcal. But on Sunday I was able to fast pretty easily (no food eaten all day). Then on Monday i ate maybe 1000 kcal, all protein and fibers (psyllium husk). I would eat like this, 3-4 meals a day, just protein and psyllium husk for tuesday and wednesday as well, so around 1000-1200 kcal. Then on thursday, i started eating kidney beans (also just fibers very low carbs) and had about 1500 kcal. Today, I had about 1800 kcal I think.

Appetite suppression does get noticeably weaker as the week ends.

PLANS FORWARD
Since I am very happy with the progress this week, I will keep the 2mg until i am unhappy. But I think I will be able to keep 2mg for at least 3-4 more weeks. Although I might increase to 3mg in 2-3 weeks, we'll see!

SIDE NOTE
I said i had been ordering tesamorelin 10mg + ipamorelin 5mg a few weeks ago. But unfortunately the vendor was doing some weird stuff where they would have some problems not being able to send for a week. Then after a week I asked and they told me i had to now provide tax id. I did not want to give them my tax id so I requested a refund which i promptly got back with no complications. I have now ordered tesamorelin 10mg + ipamorelin 5mg from another vendor!

So, if i there was no delay on the first vendor I would have gotten the tesa+ipa already or in a few days. But now I have to wait probably two more weeks till i get them.

Works out to $.23 (23 cents) a mg. I have some coming too.
 
At my current dose and assuming a 1% average overfill, I have enough coming for 17 years😂
Damn son! I'm sitting on 6 years plus with the incoming 6 kits from recent GB with the wife and I current dose amounts. I guess I have some catching up to do.

I don’t anticipate staying at 16mg/week long term, I’ve got ~40lb to go, probably Octoberish to that point.

I’ve got a couple years in the freezer, plus a fair bit of Tirz and Cag in the freezer and more of each on the way.

Just added up vials. I'll have 70 vials currently and 70 vials on the way from a couple of GB. That'll make 140 vials from 24-140 when the GB show up in 6-10 weeks. I did total mg too, scary, so likely way more than 6 years at the current rate.
 
WEEK 5 UPDATE
Sorry, last week (week 4) was labor day on Friday so I had a small vacation and couldn't weigh myself, so I didn't do an update.

Overall, It looks like my stomach fat is reducing, but my weight is the same??

I have no idea why my weight has gone up a bit? I definitely have lost fat around my belly! The only thing I can think of is that i somehow have gained a bit of muscle or maybe i have somehow started to retain more water? No idea...

Today is my first time on 3mg reta! I was previously on 2mg reta until today. But i do not feel the satiety suppression is strong enough! I think my hunger suppression is okay, but i want greater effect!

DIARY
I eat chicken breast about 3 times a day. Each time I have one bulging teaspoon of psyllium husk. On top of the 3 times chicken breast, I will have one meal that is maybe beef or eggs or something with more fat. i should be around 1500-1800 kcal daily which should put me at 500 kcal deficit daily for the last two weeks. Maybe this crazy amount of protein have somehow helped me build some muscles??

PLANS FORWARD
Keep on 3mg for next 4 weeks.

SIDE NOTE
I just got my second order from China a few days ago. So, i am now also running tesa + ipa (1mg + 0.5mg) protocol every night! I plan to do 5 nights a week and 2 days off and I plan to do this the next 4 weeks as well!

I have not changed in weight. This is so weird... Because I have clearly been on a 500-1000kcal deficit daily. Like I said before, it can only mean i am gaining some muscles as well. I suspect I am gaining muscles simply because I am eating so much protein (140+ g daily).

So, I have upped to 4.0 mg now. Last week i did 3.0 mg and I have felt the best hunger suppression since i started 6 weeks ago. I honestly could have stayed on 3.0 mg and lose probably 1 lbs a week going forward. So, I am confident that 4.0 mg will be amazing for my weightloss.

DIARY
I have introduced white rice into my meals now. I am still eating a lot of chicken breasts, but now for some meals I have some white rice with it. I am calorie counting daily and I never exceed 1500 kcal. My daily maintenance calories is around 2200-2500 depending on how much i walk.

PLANS FORWARD
Keep on 4mg for next 4 weeks. I have decided to start doing cardio to lose the weight even faster. So, if my plans are good, next week i should probably have lost like 2kg/5lbs ish. My plan is to do 60 min low intensity jogging daily. In the morning probably. I got a whoop band so i can monitor my heartbeat and stay in the fatburning zone.

SIDE NOTE
I have been doing tesa + ipa as well this week. I did 5 days on, then 2 days off, then now i am on my 5 days on (but currently one the 3rd day of the 5 days on). Maybe this is what have made me gain muscles as well?

No it was on 3mg reta! I felt great hunger suppression actually. It’s just that weight that didn’t budge. But like I wrote, I think it’s because I’m gaining muscles too.

And they were totally right about tesa + ipa giving you vivid dreams while sleeping. But I love it so much. It’s like living another life when you sleep!

How are you liking Tesa and IPA so far? I’ve been curious about it because I’m looking to eventually add something more focused on recovery and overall HGH support at night.

DSIP has been working okay for me so far, but I’m still trying to dial in the dose and figure out what works best. I’ve seen a lot of people mention tesa for HGH/IGF-1 support, recovery, and body composition, so it’s definitely caught my interest.

I’ve also seen quite a few people say the CJC-1295 no DAC + IPA combo seems to be one of the better options people use specifically for sleep and nighttime recovery, so I’m trying to learn more before adding anything else.

Have you noticed the biggest benefits in recovery, sleep, physique changes, or something else?

That makes sense honestly. The vivid dream thing is probably the biggest recurring theme I keep hearing from people running tesa + ipa.

And yeah, from everything I’ve read so far, tesa vs CJC+IPA seems like one of those endless debates where both camps swear theirs is better. I’ve definitely seen more people specifically praise tesa for visceral fat/body composition though, which is what keeps me interested in it.

My goals are kind of mixed honestly — definitely body composition, but also recovery, sleep quality, inflammation, and overall long-term health/performance. I’m still training hard and staying active at 38, so I’m trying to optimize recovery without adding 15 compounds at once and having no clue what’s actually doing what.

DSIP stands for Delta Sleep Inducing Peptide by the way. It’s mostly talked about for sleep quality/deeper sleep. Weirdly enough, lower doses seem to work better for me than higher ones so far.
