Where oh where has my mg gone?

Filter, could’ve mismeasured or spilt some. 3mg is quite a bit.
I thought filter at first as well, but im really thinking it might have been r/t the insulin syringes or sterile vials somehow. My best friend, husband, and I are splitting a kit, so we did the recon together. I had her double check measurements. We live pretty rural and she didnt want to travel with predrawn syringes, so I drew her units for her month's dosage, she double checked before I added to a new sterile vial. Shes missing 10u and I was missing 20. Going to try different syringes next go round to see if there is any difference.

I’m betting you were looking at the bottom of the plunger when reconstituting and not the tip.

A flush can recover more. Pre-wetting the filter allows you to retain the most.
By prewetting the filter, do you mean like flush the filter with bac before filtering the reconstituted liquid?

Yes, exactly. Instead of the dry filter absorbing your reconstituted peptide, it'll absorb water, and (in theory) more of the reconstituted peptide will pass thru.

I don't bother with it, or even flushing the filter any longer. I just air purge the filter when done. Diminishing returns and all.

I've never seen anyone do a video on how much can be recovered via air purge vs flushing, pre-wetting, etc; but I'd be curious about the result.

I dont know either. I

I dont think thats it; Ive been a nurse for 20 years so I have a good handle on how to use everything. (Filters were only thing new for me). Plus I had my bff double check all measurements behind me. Reconstitution day comes this week though, so im going to adjust a couple of things see how it goes this go round!
