Hey gang.

So long ridiculous story short, there was a vile of BAC water that was replaced with tapwater (which is meticulously filtered) which my sister accidentally used in a brand-new bottle of NAD 1000mg.

Is there a way to fix this, can she get away with it or is it a total write off?

Much love

How long does it take to use 1000mg?

I’d shit can it very quickly. I’d also never put tap water or anything water like in a Hospira bottle.

Okay, so seeing as everyone's asking which I would too he he, my kid really liked the 60ml glass bottle for her potions, so she snazzled the empty bottle andfilled it up with water and left it on the counter. My sister who is simply visiting and doesn't know the nuances to the house, picked it up by mistake and used it. This all unfolded in the space of 15 minutes.

Gonna depend on your risk tolerance. Probably not the wisest thing to use it. BUT, if you don't live on Love Canal(look it up)... I and a lot of other junkies have used much worse than tap water and I'm still kickin. Worst I ever done was to use green GatorAid to dissolve my coke with. Knew some who used water from a city mud puddle to to cook their Heroin with in a spoon. Least they boiled that solution before injecting. Come to think of it, a couple of them are no longer with us. Haven't heard from the other two in a long while. I was lucky to have been born with a super strong resistance to bacteria and a stupid high RISK tolerance. Somebody smarter than me said "ain't nothin but pain, sufferin, and death down that road.
Recently had to relearn the value of PROMPTLY labeling my vials. And it's just one vial. Plenty more where that cam from

CHOOSE WISELY...

Its just 1 of a kit i'm guessing. 10 or 15 Bucks? I'd toss it out and feel great about not getting a possible bad outcome.

I think before you go injecting anything into your body, you kinda need to get the chaos down in your household OR isolate what you're doing from it. The chaos level you described is totally fine and well if your household is doing crafts or art or even baking or melt and pour soap or body products that don't contain water (like body butters that are combos of solid and liquid oils, or salt or sugar scrubs.)

If you're going to be doing cold process soap, any body product that involves emulsifying water with oil and therefore needs a preservative and careful sterile process, or basically self-medicating and playing pharmacist, then you need some processes in place that protect you from the chaos you described because that's when it goes from muppety and harmless to actually dangerous.

Oh, and PS, since your kid AND your sister were involved in what happened with this vial, pitch it right this fucking second and don't listen to anyone talking about your own risk tolerance, because you're no longer just risking yourself here. The chances of something going horribly wrong and getting you horribly sick are undetermined, but the chances that your kid and your sister will spend their whole lives blaming themselves for what happened to you if something does go wrong are close to 100%.

So, tap water protocole will be available soon? I follow🤔

I can't believe this is even a discussion. Everyone in this space needs be all about harm reduction. This isn't it.

Yeah, one of the more unsettling threads. Not only that someone would consider using the vial, but also that someone actually said that they would pin and that using the vial is in their risk tolerance parameters. As if there is a question about what should be done.

That is a wildly solid point. I didn’t even think about that, but yes I would toss for that reason alone.

I kind of like these kind of threads. They are helping folks shape their thinking. And we don't know what we don't know. Hopefully, this will educate some. 🙂 Remember that needle safety thread? As painful as the discussion was, it probably was useful.

1. Please do not inject that shit into your body.

2. I have a family so I understand but I would highly recommend keeping that stuff totally separate from kids. This process needs to be clean and you can’t afford accidents when it comes to your body. It’s bad enough we are injecting sus peps from china. The least you can do is your due diligence with cleanliness and taking proper steps to sanitize. There shouldn’t be children accidentally doing this or that! That’s how you get sepsis.

I get it. But tap water? Really? That's like the labels that come on curling irons and say, "Don't use in the bathtub", to me. Maybe I'm just old.

If your daughter likes to play with the empty bottles write on them with sharpie, add a sticker, remove the label. Choose something to differentiate between your & her play things.

Also possibly find a place to pack & put all your stash away to keep it sterile.

I really would not take any chance with that vial. If you bought a kit you have more. Its not worth it!

Can we get an update? I’m very curious what happened?
