Empty sterile vials vials vials

I am ashamed to say I've been using those k2's from amazon they are cheap, clear and easy like me.

But id rather spend a couple bucks per vial ( 2 dollars max bulk ) thinking peptidetest they have supposedly sterile vials for a little less than 2 bucks each, anyone have a current facorite vendor?
monitoring cause I'm on that K2 shit too...

That's all I have too. 20, well 18 3ml, 10 5ml and 10 10ml. Someone posted this a while back, and I saved it. They have 3 and 10ml too.

I've bought both of the products mentioned by @birdwhacker and @Dos-Dox above and I can also vouch for the quality of the vials. Both vendors charge less than $2.00 per vial with discounts for larger quantities from at least one of them.

Don't be put off by the size of the vial they state; 2ml which is technically the "nominal fill amount". They actually hold a little more than 3ml and are the same physical size of every filled lyophilized peptide vial I've received from China.

Wow those are some good links ty!!.

I was lookong at those, i also looked up reviews of them, thats a relatively new company and not many reviews...

The price is definitely right, tho.

Those Astor ones are nice, but $25 shipping for 1 or 100. A tad heavy I think.
I ordered 120 of them an hour ago and shipping was $25. Sales tax was not included in the price for some reason though.
Yep, $25, I was going to order. What the heck do you need 120 for?

We have many years worth of drugs! Shouldn't we have many years worth of supplies? I'd rather split the flat $25 shipping amongst many rather than buy smaller quantities and eat the $25 repeatedly.

Take a peak below. I'm covered. Doing math for my wife and I at 8mg is 16mg a week. Staying at this dose I have 14.5 years of just Reta in 302 or 322 vials. I'll have 32 vials of Hospira when my case shows.

If you're really paranoid about vial sterility, why not just throw the cheapest vials you can find in an inexpensive pressure cooker for 20 minutes? Poor man's autoclave.

Doesn't work for sealed vials.
Why not? I think almost all the vials we use are borosilicate glass and the butyl rubber stopper can survive the temperature no problem. The cap is probably also safe at 250F. I doubt the 15psi overpressure would be a problem. But I have a high risk tolerance and never tried this. Keep the vials above water of course.

Haven't used the pressure cooker for sterilization since my home brewing and yeast propagation days.

Pyrogens are a different issue. I don't think this process destroys endotoxins. But then again, I don't understand how endotoxins could be introduced during the vial manufacturing process.

It has nothing to do with the glass and rubber withstanding the temp.... it's because the vial is sealed.
I used to grow mushrooms and keeping things sterile is critical. In fact, it's hard for me to understand how they survive in the wild. Anyway, I learned by trial and error long ago. If the steam can't get to it, it doesn't get sterile. That's why sterilization pouches are made with a tyvek type material on one side.

Steam pressure sterilization does not destroy pyrogens 🙁

I have no proof, That's why I didn't state as fact.... just what I have heard over the years in a local mushroom community.
Looks like you were right!
Heating methods are often used to ensure that glass and other lab equipment are free of pyrogenic material. Heat is applied by baking in a dry heat oven that is designed specifically for the depyrogenation process. Although endotoxins are relatively thermally stable, sufficient heating (250 °C for 30 min) results in a 3-log reduction of endotoxin levels.

I think the next question is will the rubber bits survive this?
