I’m on 2mg a week. I’ve lost 9lbs in the last two weeks. Which is remarkable for me. Started at 238 down to 229. I haven’t been in the 220’s for like two years. I don’t have any side effects, so I was worried it wasn’t working. I really only feel mild appetite suppression, which comes in the form of not craving sweets. If I wanted to eat a full rack of ribs I still can. Over these two weeks Ive had two days of over eating while watching the NBA playoffs and the lbs are still literally melting off. Honestly, I don’t know if I care for more appetite suppression at this point as long as it’s keeping me from desserts and my kids gummy snacks. I feel like I can still get my protein in with no problem. I’m in awe.

If this is your fresh entry to losing weight, a chunk of that 9lb will be varieties of water weight getting shed. It's very unlikely that you'll sustain 4.5lb/week loss, that would imply a daily ~2k+ calorie deficit.

This is the info I came for. Basically, the honey moon phase eh?

That's a great way of looking at it... as long as you don't set yourself up for disappointment thinking it's going to stay at that rate, there's no meaningful harm in it usually.

My general target is to lose ~1% week over week, which is something I've managed to do for 23 weeks and counting (282lb to 226lb, plus creatine's weight gain).

Reta is amazing isn't it? Just keep at it, and the first few pounds are likely water weight, you can still probably lose 2 each week, and imagine where you'll be in 3 months, and then 6!! Super exciting! I'm in my 11th week, only just bumped up to 3 mg, lost 2 pounds every week and a few weeks, 3. I now weigh LESS than I did in highschool, which was 35 goddamn years ago. Life changing. Reta gets all my gold stars from now until eternity. Love, love, LOVE!

It won't always be like that, unfortunately. Once your body gets used to it, you will lose weight more slowly and won't be able to eat whatever you want anymore. 😭

I'm not losing at that rate, but I can eat anything I want (that I've thought of), although my portions are smaller.

I feel like symptomatically I'm a unicorn, or the people like me are generally aren't vocal.

The most common loss rate I observed in the many posts I read is about 10lbs per month, so about 2lbs per week. I also experienced this rate for the first 7 months. It slowed down to about 5-8lbs monthly for the next 3months and now that I am within 15lbs of my goal weight - I am losing only 2-4lbs monthly.
Your body adapts with time…

I can eat whatever I want too but I'm only losing an average of 1lb a week now, which is honestly the healthiest way to do it. It is probably not helping that I don't work out as much as everyone else.

I agree, water weight. My first week or so was like that, now 1-2.5lbs/week.

I’m in same boat, I dont really have the appetite suppression but the appetite for snacking on crap has completely gone. No more heading for the 10pm raid on kids left over Easter eggs 🤣 also when going out for dinner the usual starter/main course is a no go now.

I did a whole post about appetite suppression on Reta. It mostly just makes you feel full faster. At least for me and a lot of others agreed with me. I still get hungry, I can still drink and eat what I want, food doesn’t turn me off. I like that because I still want to enjoy food. I’m just not as tempted to grab that bag of chips because I’m already full. If you can make a habit of eating healthy meals it really helps cutting calories and junk food.

Yep, just try to eat healthy meals, they will fill you up so you’re not as tempted to eat a bunch of junk. It’s nice to be able to eat what you want though, I think the full feeling you get after meals is ideal appetite suppression, I want to enjoy food and not be turned off by like other GLPs do.
I lost a lot of weight once I got to 2mg too, then it backed off and have gone up and down at times but over the course of 11 weeks I have shown a steady decline of a little over a lb a week. I recommend the app Shotsy to track everything if your not doing so already. Good luck!

This has been my experience as well. My nausea seems to have tapered off which has led to me wanting to eat more, but my portions have shrunk quite a bit because I get full so quickly. I should be eating around 2100 calories per day but I have to power through to get over 1600 while trying to hit protein goals.

Highly recommend 4mg, only dose ive felt real appetite control.

I’m 190, 6’0 male, also was super responsive to Tirz, started Reta at 1mg, then to 2mg, then to 4mg over 4 weeks. Also do 2 shots of 2mg 2x a week, every 3.5 days.

I thought 2, 4 and 6mg was making me feel full, and no appetite. We started 8mg 3 weeks ago and holy shit. Now, some of that I believe is the manufacturer. It's MLB, and I used their R24 a couple months ago at 6mg and felt the same. I get it from one of my vendors. Your never find them, as they don't sell to the public and don't want to be found they told me.

Yeah I didn’t go ham on the chips and dip at the Mexican restaurant today!

I definitely agree this stuff is insane. Just finished my fourth week on reta 1.5mg and I'm currently down 18.5 lbs. haven't experienced any sides. hoping this "honey moon phase" lasts a while.

Stats - 6'0, SW: 305, CW: 286.5, 1.5mg every 5 days.

4.6lbs/week is a bunch. A little too much. Maybe water weight.

My wife was on Wegovy and got all the side effects it had to offer. Sulfur burps, cadaver farts. She switched to Reta and hasn’t had to deal with any of that so far.

Did you ever tried only tirz? I have used 28 weeks long MJ 5mg and was always responsive. Then tried 2 weeks long reta just to know the difference. I had my hunger feeling back. Didn't lost any weight and had heavy diarrhea during last 3 days. Then turned back to tirz and everything was back to normal. I don't claim that tirz is better than reta. But I think tirz is much better for hunger suppression. This is why I ask it. It is not a comment or a recommandation. Just curiosity.

Honestly I was initially put off when I couldn't find any information on them, in the Western markets brand name goes hand in hand with quality and reputation. Maybe not so much in China's peptide market where it's harder to distinguish between sources. Is it a back alley bathtub brewer or the company manufacturing the flower folks product slipping some out the back door? 😆
May I ask who "they" is?

The wife was accusing me of having more gas than her till I showed her the study that showed women fart more than men. It's on. 😆
