Can't post thread in the scamwatch - how do I warn people?

It won't let me post in the scamwatch when I have screenshots of the biggest vendor here scamming. Why can't I post? How are these vendors held up to accountabilty?

I've been on the forum nearly 6 months yet am still restricted and can't report scams, that's wild.

Your ability to discuss vendors is also dependent on how much you interact in the forum, not just time.

Yep, if OP reads the instructions, its clear that if you don't have perms to report something, that you contact the mods for help.

FAAAAR more often than not a user w the no source discussion tag coming here to announce that a vendor is a scammer is (a) a customer service issue, which is to say not a scam but some misalignment of expectations; (b) the user getting scammed by an actual scammer because they aren’t communicating with the vendor they think they’re talking to (always initiate contact first using contact info provided by the vendor themself from an official account); or (c) a bad actor smearing a vendor for gain of some sort.

If you are absolutely certain you are the exception to this then i recommend contacting Zippity with your evidence. But I will caution you that he will probably get spicy if you’re in fact coming with one of the issues above.

I get that but:

1. Just because someone is new to this forum doesn't mean they are a newb to greymarkets (far from it).

2. I have unequivocal evidence via screenshots of them lying by changing their website policy in retrospect.

3. The country specific whatsappgroup for this vendor has 20+ people who can corroborate the exact same story.

It's strange to me people are more concerned about "owning people" online rather than being rational and having any kind of concern that a major vendor is stealing from people.

I’m not seeing that happening. Many people here have told you to contact a mod. They are only explaining WHY the no vendor discussion rule is a thing. You may be an exception but the rule still stands. Most people airing out a vendor are misinformed. So contact a mod, that’s all you can do. Instead of putting down the forum for its guidelines. Vendors have very sensitive reputations and we aren’t going to jump on every vendor who has a pissed off customer.

The only people who can do quite literally anything are the mods so idk why you’re being rude to those of us giving input. No one said you were lying or shouldn’t be taken seriously. Right or wrong regarding the vendor, its not life and death pal, plus you seem incapable of making friends. But by all means get yourself worked up even further. This site owes you nothing, dunno why you think it does.

I want to add as well that “not caring about a vendors reputation” is ignorant. Their reputations are important because it’s how we hold them accountable. Without this system, it would always be a guessing game. If you only care about yourself and not the community and the respected vendors we use here, this is not the space for you. Wow. Way to walk into someone else's house and complain that they aren't doing what you want them to do. I hear you that you are trying to raise a concern about safety and I applaud you for it. But as many people have said, the rules are the rules. Follow them and the gates will open. Don't and you'll be left to bang against them on the outside.

I am probably going to catch some flak myself for saying this, but as to all the Aussie vs. American insults flying in this thread, can we stop? Yes, OP threw the first punch in that regard, but that shouldn't make it open season to let our nationalism run rampant. We have members from all over the world here all working together and making insults towards one or another group just divides us. Keep the insults to the person, not the country.
