Would vendors be able to ship using Canada post if their warehouse is not based inside of Canada? I need to make a order but my other supplier that has a Canadian Warehouse hasn't been restocked for a while. I need it to be Canada post because I get my packages sent to my post office but they only take Canada post deliveries

Are you talking about a PO Box here?

It's a bit of a crapshoot. Most likely anyone using a postal service instead of a courier service will have that "last mile" covered by Canada Post typically.

So if the package originated in China, for example, and was sent via China Post, once it gets to Canada it would be handled by Canada Post and should be able to be delivered to a PO Box.

Same goes for USPS.

Lot of if's in there, though! Have you reached out to your usual suppliers and asked when they will be restocking their Canadian sites?

This is a good question. I’m rural, and we have P.O. Boxes. No home delivery.
However, other carriers will deliver to our house. It’s hard to know what address to use when you don’t know which company is delivering. I’ve had things from china come by CP, Dragonfly, FedEx etc. 🤷🏻‍♀️. I never know until it passes through customs.

most vendors ship and when it hits your resident country it is handed off to the local postal service.

i have never had a package arrive as anything other than USPS (I'm in the US) despite being sent by various vendors based out o turkey, china, india or eastern europe.

It may start with a carrier you are unfamiliar with but it will be completed by your local postal courier.

I have not heard any different experiences from anyone I've talked to who lives in Canada

They definitely can, I just got a Canada Post tracking today - but I don’t know if the vendors would know for sure who is doing last mile delivery. You could always message a few and ask?

Yes, thank you, I asked, and they said they could definitely hand off to Canada Post once they get the chance.
