I am getting tired of throwing all my disposable insulin syringes into my neighbors trash bin, it seems really wasteful and I'd like to swap to a reusable injection pen.

I read the thread on Amazon pens which had a great comparison table. it seems like there are two categories of pen, "completely generic junk" and "name brand with features" with not much in-between.

Im not too sure I understand the practicality of some of the features and want some others reccomendations on how to shop for this.

Is digital/bluetooth actually a good feature or is it low-usefulness like it seems?

What are these spacers? am i to understand that certain pens wont completely eject the contents of a cartridge without additional addons?

Whats the best way to manage all my peps with these things? should i put all my recons into their own cartidges and reuse cartidges only for a single type of peptide?

Where should I shop for these things? I was checking out here and here but dunno if there are better spots.
 
I also had the same questions and read a ton but couldn't decide so I just got a V2 pen for like $15 and figured it was not an amount I would regret spending to see if I like it or not plus it gives me a baseline on what I would look for in a 2nd pen given my experience with my first. The more I read the more analysis paralysis I got and just settled for a cheap option that seemed to be a favorite for some. Let us know what you decide and how you like it and where you end up.
I just received mine today and at the moment, watching videos on loading cartridges, etc.

Also Ali Express. I bought mine from there.
Daro pep has a good comparison chart for pens.
I bought 5 different colors from AE.. and supplies as well.
I keep each pep in a specific color so it's clear which is which.
You will then require pen needles, which can be ordered from diabetes suppliers and Amazon.
You can get 32G which are thinner and hurt less.
Over all a great improvement from syringes. Some types dont push all the way up but spacers are easy to get.

He is super nice, too. He encourages you to ask him questions before you buy. Lots of good stuff on the site. I'm glad you like the V4. If I get another pen, I'll give that one a try!

I have a limited options where I am but will try a v2 and a couple more expensive options. 1st time using pens and it will be a few weeks still. I have seen such varied reviews I figured I’d try a range

Did you have any issues with the V4s, any spacer issues or anything else?

You won't regret it. Good stuff. So many supplies! All decnetly priced. I try not to go browse too much because my wallet disagrees.
 
I just switched all peps to pens over the last 2 months. 2 convis, and 4 V2s None of these need spacers. We will not be going back to syringes. We are livin' the pen life now.
I want to address your cartridge question. Do not reuse your cartridges. They are meant to be thrown away once they have been used. Fill it, use it, trash it. Even if they have been sanitized properly after you use them, they will leak. They are only made to be punctured so many times. Like you wouldn't sanitize and reuse a vial.

I got a set of 3 V4 pens from there, but when I tested them, the drops come out so slow. Every few seconds, a drop comes out.

Is that normal??? Or am I doing something wrong? Or are they defective? 😔
 
Im also curious about pens, has anyone tried the Gansulin pen from aliexpress? I have seen a few youtube videos about it and looks very good according to me. Accurate and high build quality

If im not mistaken Convipen/Servopen and Gansulin is the same type of pen

Im thinking about getting one for daily GHK-CU or maybe Glow in the future, any thoughts on that?

Yes, it's become my favorite. And I'm going to buy another one right now before that damn EU tax on CN packages. It's the same price as the six crappy, unusable V2s I have.

I use it daily for KPV.

For GHK-Cu, I prefer an Ergo2 because I do multipin (3x 5u). The Gansulin injects a bit too quickly; it's not suitable for all peptides.
 
I first bought a cheap, generic V2 pen on Amazon just to see if I liked it. I did, but the dose was off by 5 units (fine as long as you know), and I didn't really like the way the mechanism felt when actually injecting, if that makes sense. So I gave that one to my sister and got two more from a direct supplier and I like them a lot more. They're incredibly accurate, don't feel flimsy/junk, and I love that I can load up a cartridge with a whole month's worth of something and not have to worry about it.

The biggest thing for me is I specifically got the V2 and V3.5, both of which have open caps so I don't have to see the needle when doing my shots. I've been doing injections for a decade and a half now, and I always stare at the needle as it's going in because I'm a weirdo and it got to the point where I would dread shot day, especially when I was still doing IM. So having the little retractable cover thing makes a huge difference for me! There's also this thing called Tickle Flex that you can put on the end of your pen that makes it so you don't see/feel the needle as it's going in. They don't work with regular syringes though.

I've also found that pen needles are sharper than regular insulin needles for some reason, even using the same gauge/brand. I think partially it's because the pen needle isn't piercing through a thick rubber stopper before you use it, potentially getting duller. So I normally don't even feel the injection now. It's great.

Oh, on the topic of spacers though (the ones that you use for getting every last drop of peptide out, not the ones you use to modify a pen so it will work with generic cartridges, if that makes sense) I've heard they can end up breaking pens in the long run and they make the last dose obviously inaccurate, so I don't recommend or use them. What I do instead is use a regular syringe to draw up whatever's left in my cartridge when it's "spent" and do my shot that way. I try to purposefully leave enough in the cartridge so it equals a full dose so I don't have to split it up or anything. The decent pens have markings on the inner tube so you can visually see how much is left in the cartridge.

Also speaking of cartridges -- be careful which ones you buy. There's someone on Amazon who tests them all for sterility and a shocking number of them fail. You can sterilize them at home though, if you have a pressure cooker that can get up to 15psi, or you can even buy an autoclave. I need to do more research though because the affordable autoclaves are actually dry heat sterilizers from what I've seen, which seem to be more for metal tools and things that can't get wet, so I'm uncertain if the rubber stopper on a cartridge would survive a cycle. Autoclaves actually run at a lower temperature for a shorter cycle because water conducts heat so much more efficiently than air does. But still, something to look into if you're worried about it.

I am not sure, you are supposed to inject slowly though (for yourself & also accuracy). I have never tried watching how they come out, but have tested by using an old cart filled with water/rubbing alcohol pressing slowly into an insulin syringe

Not so far at all. I don't use spacers though. Its the smoothest pen we have & we have over 6 of them, including some of the Mrs Goodlife & Lilly Ergo
 
I have a Convipen and love it. Well built, works perfectly and super convenient. I little pricier than other pens but you can tell, it's well made.

Thanks i will look inte the Ergo2! I seem to be responding very well to ghk-cu maybe a little itchy for a while but otherwise no side effects from the injection and i have been pushing it quite fast so i assume the Gansulin would work but if not i might as well use it for Tirz.
 
I've got a gansulin, convipen and 2 NovoPen 4's. Not a fan of the NovoPen's, but I love the gansulin/convipen. I've seen them legit as low as $45, but I want to buy a bunch more. If anyone has a legit source cheaper than that, speaketh now!
 
I ended up ordering a V1 pen from Goodlife Supplies.

It’s taking a while to get here but once it does, I’m going to see if I enjoy the whole pen, ecosystem and experience

I was told after I ordered it that convipen is good and any other pen is for poor people ha ha ha, so I guess if I enjoy the experience I’ll order convi and I’ll be able to actually judge quality since I have another pen

I only have a V2 and it has bene good enough. Savvios are made by Lilly from what I recall @Broken Chef saying (I could be wrong). I am not really familiar with pens and wanted to try a cheap one just to see if I like them and I do. I don't see a reason for me to upgrade, really, but someone else can chime in and tell you more about their experiences with different ones.
Try a V1 or V2, $15 isn't much to waste in case you don't want to gamble more cash.
