I’ve been running reta for about 8 weeks now at 1 mg per week and recently decided to experiment with adding Cagrilintide. For context, I’m already fairly lean and active. I lift daily, do some cardio, eat OMAD, and have been tracking my weight, macros, energy levels, sleep, and side effects daily throughout the entire reta experiment.
Before adding cagri, reta was already working extremely well for me. Appetite suppression was excellent, food noise was basically gone, hunger was very low, and weight loss was steady while maintaining or even improving gym performance. One thing I noticed over time was that the GI effects seemed to increase gradually week by week. My energy levels were also highly dependent on carbohydrate intake. If I kept carbohydrates high enough, I felt great. If I went very low carb, I would feel depleted and sluggish even though I wasn’t hungry.
I recently added cagri at 133 mcg on Monday and then another 133 mcg on Wednesday, for a total of 266 mcg this week so far. Since adding it, the biggest difference I’ve noticed hasn’t really been appetite suppression because reta had already taken care of that. Instead, the biggest change has been the gastrointestinal effects. I’m getting very strong fullness and satiety signals. Meals make me feel full extremely quickly, and I stay physically satiated for a very long time. I’ve noticed things like still getting food related burps many hours later, sometimes even into the next day. The bloating and fullness are noticeably stronger than they were on reta alone, bowel movements seem reduced, and I often feel as though I’ve recently eaten even when I haven’t. So far I haven’t experienced significant nausea or vomiting. I did have a mild headache one day and one episode where I felt oddly winded and fatigued after training, but otherwise I haven’t experienced the severe fatigue that some people report with cagr.
One thing I find interesting is that my energy levels still seem to be much more dependent on carbohydrate intake than appetite. If carbohydrates are low, I feel depleted and sluggish despite having zero hunger. If carbohydrates are adequate, my energy is great and my appetite is still basically nonexistent. Because of that, it feels like appetite suppression and energy levels are almost completely separate variables for me.
I’m curious to hear from people who have experience stacking cagri with reta. Did the GI effects continue increasing over time, or did they eventually stabilize? How long did it take before you felt the full effects of cag? Was the first thing you noticed stronger satiety and fullness, or appetite suppression? Did you experience increased bloating or slower bowel movements? For those stacking with reta, what dose ratio ended up working best for you? Did the fatigue get better, worse, or stay the same over time? Did anyone find that very small doses of cag were enough when combined with reta? And finally, did cag provide meaningful benefits beyond what reta was already giving you?
Right now I’m actually enjoying the increased satiety and fullness, but I’m curious whether what I’m experiencing is typical for the early stages of a cagri and reta stack or whether these effects tend to become significantly stronger over time. I’d be interested in hearing other people’s experiences.
