AFacebook reels flooded with pep sellers

What?! Is this real? How on Earth? They're all scammers as far as I'm concerned but I feel like this kind of exposure is bad for gray. Thoughts?
Of course, a lot of things are bad for grey because too many people are just dumb. And our beloved media cannot wait to pick up on this stuff to create their next scare mongering story.

I'm just waiting for some dumb teens on TikTok to start an idiotic trend where they try to inject as many whole bottles of peptides in as many places as possible at the same time to see what happens. It will have a name like Peptiding and someone will die. Just wait for it because it's only a matter of time.

Well, I don't to Assbook, but I can get in. You're right, second post was recon solutions and there was a couple ads on the right.

I really hope that doesn't happen, but I can't argue. The chances of large numbers of people doing something stupid are definitely high.

I started a tiktok account a while back just to follow some peptide links and nearly every video is a peptide video. Now, my instagram and facebook have them in my feed.

I'm not a super social media consumer but apparently the algorithm has aggregated my interest. Weird. I don't trust any of it. I'm not stupid enough to buy anything from anyone offering to ship me peps from Shenzen using my debit card. Lol. Makes me wonder how many people are getting scammed.

Sadly, a lot of people are. I referred a girl to this community via DM after seeing her struggle. She didn't want to do the legwork and a week later she posted about getting scammed. When you deal with gray, you would think people would willing to do at least a little research after being led in the right direction, but often times they don't and that's on them.

The scammer fear is real. I ordered from a supplier and did a single kit and thought I made a mistake.. however the goods did show up. I haven't opened them yet nor did I have it tested to confirm.

The "Research" is the part that is baffling.. Once you start to dig, and REALLY dig.. you almost can never go back... I have a couple of friends I've helped out and when I explain stuff they get the "glossed over eyes" look.. eventually I have to dumb it down to explain... but imagine that same person just clicking on a random peptide ad, and just purchasing "from the abyss".....

Furthermore about Social Media.. it is a disease.. Sorry to offend anyone but the best thing I did was check out of it over 6 years ago.. At least for my mental health. My sister tries to get me to go back on and I just say "I like my mental health too much, sorry..."

I wholeheartedly agree. I got of FB over 10 yrs ago and never made accounts with IG or TikTok. It's so weird how much family/friend pressure there is to join. From where I sit, the people pushing me are addicted and miserable. My sister in law is one that can't be off tiktok long enough to drive her car from one place to another. It seems like it's basically all she thinks about.

Yes.. Yes to all of what you said..

I love my sister.. she's not miserable per say but I'm like "man, stop DOOM scrolling.... " I think she's also stuck in a hard place because of her work (virtual, works with clients about job posting and advertising) she is forced to use it because of how office work culture is.

Every now and then she'll send me something that I she knows I'll laugh at but it's far and few between.

Yup. As soon as I started looking this stuff up, it has been flooded with ads, both in the reels and just scrolling through posts.

Very true. I do, however, tthink that this girl fell for someone who DM's her "I sell peptides, I'l hook you up".
Regarding social media, I totally get that. I am still actively on facebook because I am a foreigner living in the US who has a lot family, grade school, college, and work friends back in my country. Social media is how I stay in touch with most of them. If it wasn't for facebook & instagram, I would have completely lost touch. I won't ever text or call all of them and ask about their lives. They post birthday pictures and such, I enjoy seeing them from afar, comment and we feel connected. That's just me, though. We can all justify why we do it or don't do it.

I'm sure there are a lot of scammers, but from what I can tell, a lot of resellers who actually have peptides. The product is cheap enough and has high enough margins that it's worth selling the real thing, even if at super marked up prices, which is the real crime if you ask me.

Seeing what some people pay for this stuff, I have considered just coming out and offering to sell it to everyone I know, screw the social and reputational consequences...

I hope they post a thread describing their dosage and experience.

Twitter, too. And they’re almost all insanely marked up single vial sellers who REALLY CARE and have a CALLING to HELP PEOPLE. It’s nauseating.

I have to admit I have thought about doing the Walter White/Jesse Pinkman thing but in the US I think that would definitely be a felony and I am nervous by nature and have a hard enough time sleeping without worrying about a loud knock on my door. Someone with more courage than me could (and I am sure do) make a ton reselling. I am happy to pay what I paid and have what I need for a pretty long time.

What else can we expect from the Tide Pod eaters? Our public education system has totally failed us, cranking out an entire generation of illiterate idiots.

The tirz/reta ads I've been seeing on FB and/or Insta this week boast kit prices at $5/vial with free shipping. I didn't click through, but that's a far cry from the usual 10x markup for consumer-directed marketing.

Maybe it's free shipping but with a hefty husky handling/service/convenience/resort/transaction/fat-tax/administrative fee.

I agree that research is key. A big thing for me is the connection we can find in forums like this and StG. I figure taking the leap to adding chemicals into my body that come from essentially unknown origins needs to be vetted somehow. I personally prefer to be engaged with people who are doing the same things, and have had experience with the same sources. I'm not brave enough to purchase something from a random ad and then just put it into my body. Researching, finding vetted sources, purchasing, and testing all seem like very reasonable aspects of the process to me.

I enjoy hyperfixating and reading as much as I absolutely can about things so digging isn't a problem for me. I do worry that people looking for a quick fix are going the drive gray to black though.

Agreed, the whole concept of social media is soul sucking.
Meh. Go browse pron for a day and all the pep ads will disappear, lol.
The pep ads might stop & then you start getting emails "meet russian singles", and "grow your weewee 4 inches"😂
I'll make sure to repeatedly search for buxom russian singles, pegging gingers, and mail order brides thanks for the redirect. 😈

I expect nothing. I'm just along for the ride, not contributing to the future urinators in the proverbial gene pool.

If you purchase let me know how that works out.

BS aside- all you guys (quoted or not) are awesome! Thanks for being here.

I have been in this space for a bit, and not one FB reel regarding peps. I think it really has to do with how your privacy settings are set and what you are searching on fb ( lock it down!). I keep this life separated from my other one.
