Fixing recon after the fact

So I made a little mistake. I followed the recon instructions perfectly, including filtering it out. It was supposed to be 10mg of Reta with 1mL BAC. However, after I was going to print the label, I realized I accidentally used one of my 30mg vials. Thankfully I realized this before pinning. Now aside from having about 30 days to use it (thankfully my gf and I share), is it better to leave it how it is now (so basically I would inject 1/3 the amount that I usually would), or should I just add in 2ml more BAC? Or does it matter either way?

What doses are you guys using...does 30mg/ml provide a usable pin amount?...I'm no expert on theses things but while not optimal, I wouldn't hesitate and add more....But I would double, triple check myself on the procedure amounts so as not to repeat an error....GL!...

Doesn't really matter. Slightly harder to dose out with 1ml but thats the only difference. If the two of you will use it in a month, I'm guessing y'all are around 4mg. At that dose, you can pull out of a 1ml vial without too much difficulty. If you were trying to dose 1mg, that would be much harder. Its harder to pull out 3 units on a 1ml syringe than it is to pull out 12 units. If your doses are smaller, then I would go ahead and add more BAC. So basically, I would say doses of 3mg or more just run it, less than 3mg I would add more.

Also, you are fine to use it longer. Most people would say 60 is fine and some would even go longer.

Yes currently they are smaller, we’ve been at 2mg but it’s been long enough we might go up to 4. Thanks for the suggestion😊

If you are pinning 2mg, 30mg/ml would be a 6.67iu dose. 4mg would be 13.33. I'd add 0.5ml to the bottle, then you'd pull 10 or 20iu for 2/4mg. Just easier to draw that way.

You could throw an extra 2ml and your numbers would be 20/40ius (2/4mg), which is still fine, but if you think you could increase again before the bottle is gone, it'd stick with the extra 0.5ml to decrease the injection volume at higher doses.

I've even used early vials up to 10 weeks. Just wipe the top before and after and keep it in the fridge in the middle, not in the door.
