The dreaded Oops message

In addition there are some auto replacements that happen to posts (the scammers at…, some lady and her ai ghost writer, data mining ...
This forum does have its quirky Easter egg system, creative word substitutions for reasons some of which Zippity explained above.
I spend way more time searching on this forum than posting, and have found that just about everything has been answered at some time.
Perhaps I am a masochist, but I find it fun, like a puzzle to search those terms until I find the answer. It is all available.
I buy from a vendor rarely mentioned anymore -- the whole process in itself is a puzzle to use. It was fun figuring it out though.

I got to second this. This is one of only two forums I go to regularly now (the other has a bit of different focus). So many platforms and forums are impossible to read now because of the spam, AI, etc, content. And the folks here are a good group (we won’t get into the Smitter AI or not side thread). Well done.

Perhaps a masochist…perhaps just a bit neuro-spicy. I’m in the same camp. I think I read for 2 months before making my first post here. There is SO much good info that I didn’t have to publicly announce my ignorance, I just got to read a bunch.

And I think most things are available to dig up with a bit of time and creative searching, but not always all things. I had no clue who the lady with the AI ghost writer was until I found out on another forum. Turns out I’m no better off for knowing her name or for having read things she (or the LLM) have put out…so I’m content not knowing some of the other things for now, too.

Tysm for posting your buys. It really sparked my interest and led me to find them. It's not rocket science. Just going vendor discords/tgs, ask around, go from there. I dunno. Can't really remember how I found everything now.
I don't do links as you know. It isn't hard, but I constantly get DM's from newbs wanting handouts and invites to GB. Myself and a few of the older member such as yourself will share some. I feel lucky to be "accepted" I guess you could say. I'm sick of the newbs wanting to be spoon feed. I use this a bunch in a silent reference to that.

My motto became: If you aren't living on Telegram (TG), what kind of life is it anyway, haha. But it was surprising how helpful people are on TG. Like if you find someone mentioning a GB group on TG, they will probably give an invite if you ask them nicely in DMs.

I haven't been there in two days, but I have it open and will pop in in a few.

What's driving me nuts is the amount of total shit advise from the newbs, and there's a ton lately. I could care less about people joining, asking the same questions, but crappy advise is insane. People joining 2 days ago throwing out bad info. Some is absolutely terrible. I see this somewhat on the site I'm a Admin/mod on. Pretty sure is the growing popularity of Reta and Tirz. I know, I only joined in Feb, but I read about Reta for months on Lilly and various sources. I started reading here in December sometime before joining.. Once I joined, I was a sponge. I don't recall flinging out knowledge and advise. Maybe it's just be.
That's my little rant, and I feel better. 🤣

I'm very new here, but my understanding of the newbie welcome area was that newbies had to stay for awhile and that the ONLY topics that could be discussed were WELCOME ABOARD topics. Like why you're joining, a lil' bit about yourself, just very VERY basic intro conversation. NO QUESTIONS! It says that when you join. Maybe the fact that you asked questions was the issue. It literally says don't do that.

I honestly don't remember any but the No Source Discussion. I'd need to go back and refresh myself.

Have you seen that red banner under your username that says "No Source Discussion?"

I saw that when I first started posting and I applied my ancient internet intuition. If you don't know what something is, don't ask. Figure it out or wait until it goes away. Same reason I am not asking any questions about this topic, because I have no idea what is going on.

Yes! I wrote and deleted a few scoldings about their conceptually atrocious reconstitution practices. Oblivious to the possibility of 30% overfill or zero-pep vials. Oblivious to what they don't know about vendor bac they used and had no problems.

Well dang, now i feel a little bad. Appreciate your help jump starting me, apologies for being one of the newbies poking your inbox.

I wish we talked more often needing to disclose AI content as in section 1H of the Forum Rules:

"H. AI CONTENT: Any content created, enhanced, or otherwise manipulated or modified by AI must be disclosed clearly above such content. Posting content entirely created by AI is discouraged. This disclosure is not required if AI is used solely to translate a post (or any part of a post) to/from a different language"

Too many people pass off long fancy-formatted-complete-with bullet-points blather as their own. Bunk! I think we should call them on it more often.
