The Peptide List just published a really interesting article on the half-life of GLPs and peptides in general. It gets into how the GLP meds are able to be effective which also has implications for the effectiveness of other peptides. I think its definitely worth a read.

A very, very good article. Well-written, with no obvious AI slop. The explanations of how GLP-1 agonists work are precise, and it includes a bit of history about their discovery, citing and honouring the researchers, which is really honest. I didn’t know the story about the lizard before, but now I do. It uses metaphors to explain things clearly. There are some very useful FAQs and explanations of why it works or doesn’t work.
It takes a little time and concentration, but it's worth it.

It's spot on, the targets of peptides are usually validated but the real question is do they survive Long enough to have an impact. It is that Long survival that has made glps into what they are.

Great article - thank you for posting. My big question is: why hasn't some entity created new versions of common gray market peptides such as BPC-157, such that the peptide chain sequence has a fatty acid tail and so forth, in order to extend half-life? Is there any information out there that this has been attempted?

Much has been said about the effectiveness of split-dosing for tirzepatide, due to its 5-day half life and 7-day official protocol.

But I wonder about eloralintide's once-weekly expected official protocol, given its ~2 week half-life.
