Wife's global entry revoked

Best way to avoid this is to not have it shipped to your home address.
Using a fake name is mail fraud but if you have a common name, or use first initial and last name it would be harder to prove.

Someone once said they ship to their work under a different name and the people that receive the mail know who to give it to. I like that option best, unless they get fired.

can file a DBA in OKC then open a mailbox at fedex location , not usps, under business name "Bsqueezin"

Address: Bsqueezin Receivables

just a thought..

Filing a DBA (officially called a Trade Name) in Oklahoma City costs exactly $25 to register with the Oklahoma Secretary of State. Because Oklahoma DBAs do not expire, there are no additional renewal fees. [1, 2]
You can complete the process yourself or hire a filing service to handle it for you: [1, 2]

DIY Option
  • State Filing Fee: $25 (one-time)
  • How to file: You can register online or by mail. The online filing is typically processed in 2-3 business days via the Oklahoma Secretary of State portal. [1, 2]

Slightly unrelated but I watched one of those customs tv shows where the wife didn't declare her Gucci bags (for taxes) and ended up getting searched and fined. Both wife AND husband lost their global entry because they were traveling together.

They will track the paperwork and find the name of the person that registered it.

Yes there is a difference, and US Warehouses run out fairly regularly .
I'm not willing to buy from a US warehouse, I'm too cheap. Some kits are double the price or at least $100 more on what I want to buy. I have a system in place for customs and hopefully it doesn't fail.

I got T60 for $155 from CN, it's over $300 at US warehouse.
I got R60 for $245 from CN, it's over $400 at US warehouse.
Not gonna do that.

Trade off is us shipping is a little cheaper than China .

Got an email today saying my wife's global entry has been revoked because a well known vendor on this website had packages seized. So if you are a trusted traveler be very careful. I've posted in the vendor review section because it's been ongoing since April, but it's waiting moderator approval.

Just wanted to get the notice out before hand. We know we took the risk, it was a small order, but still sucks.
Your review was not approved because it didn't follow the required template, but even if it had it's really not fair or appropriate to place blame on the vendor for a seizure unless they did something outrageously wrong that caused it. Ordering from any overseas vendor carries the risk of seizure, and while your wife's situation sucks, to say that a specific vendor was the reason is a stretch at best.

I order just enough for free shipping.
I had to order vendor BAC once to bring it up another $10 to qualify.
I did say I'm cheap... so I don't pay for shipping.

Ehhh not really. Globel Entry and Pre check TSA are very, very stringent. It sucks, but it is what it is
I can see being banned for trying to enter the country with illegal substances strapped to your thighs. But because a package was randomly seized that was addressed to her? SMH no.

I’m really sorry to read this. That is a scary overreach. 😢
What part of breaking the law that applies to customs is overreach for customs?
By importing peps without the proper paperwork, this is what everyone buying peps is doing.

Now that I think of it, it's like saying that it's overreach to take away your driver's license because you got a DUI. Importing or exporting without a license or Rx is illegal, ignorance of the law is not an excuse.

I've even heard they can and have taken GE away just for buying Temu products from China. GE is considered a privilege, and can be taken away for any reason at all.

and I lost my (almost) day one Paypal account because I used crypto for gray once. Still waiting to see if they seize the $100 I had in it. ...I wonder if that applies to GE.

So are you getting a reship of peps. And if so how are you handling that?
I am not. We had reshipped already once because we've been dealing with this since April. The original order and the reship both got seized.

No worries, only reason I listed the vendor is because when they reshipped the package from the original one seized, they still sent it the same way so the second one was also seized.

Sounds shady to me.

Wouldn't this be a GREAT way to get back at your enemies--just sign them up to receive pharmaceuticals from China? Seems to me that that would be ripe for fraud.

I agree with your DUI analogy. I didn’t know that “not FDA approved” also meant “illegal”. I will continue my research in the gray space and move accordingly.

Who was the vendor? Unbelievable.

Did she receive a seizure letter first?
I recently received a letter from customs, claiming they seized $900 of HGH. It’s weird because I didn’t buy HGH and I’ve received everything that I’ve bought. I’m not responding to the letter. I’ll just wait and see what happens. I will be very sad if they revoke my global entry, but I’ll own the consequences.

I am not sure if allowed, but if it is allowed I will tell everybody.

No letter as of yet. Only the email from cbp saying her member status had changed.

The FedEx Mailbox came up about a year ago when another user suggested it as a result of his name/address being flagged.

It is my understanding that only a small percentage of packages actually get inspected, this combined with shipping methods helps minimize seizures.

Whether or not your name/address is flagged I could not tell you.

I will say I had a seizure and waited many months before making another order even when vendor offered reship. I then received my order.

my 2 cents..

My only issue with this is I live in a smaller town in Southern Oklahoma, we don't have a FedEx hub in our city. It's in another city that is about an hour away. However, if it gets packages in without hitting my address, still might be worth it.

I would see if anyone else has feedback on this, we have others in the community that have some experience. The guy who posted about it before has not been here in a while.

@Calm Logic may have some ideas when he is around or perhaps some others may respond.

I certainly think it is worth investigating.

A guy posted this on Reddit a couple of days ago. He sounds like he knows a bit:

View: https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalEntry/comments/1uio09i/selfvetting_questions_before_you_apply_for_global/

It's a long read where he lists over 30 reasons in 9 separate headings (1-9) why you might get red or yellow flagged for Global Entry. But the salient points are under heading #5:

I've tagged each item with how much weight it tends to carry. These are my own rough labels for self-assessment — CBP does not publish a scoring system, and decisions are discretionary.
  • [Baseline] routine, rarely a problem on its own
  • [Look] could slow you down or need documentation
  • [Serious] commonly tied to denials — gather records, maybe talk to counsel
  • [Stop] the patterns that most reliably end an application

5. Customs / immigration / agriculture violations
  • [Stop] Ever found in violation of customs, immigration, or agriculture law in any country — explicitly listed, and people badly underestimate it.
  • [Serious] Ever paid a port-of-entry fine or had goods seized — undeclared items, over-limit currency, prohibited ag products, counterfeits. Even small penalties surface.

I'm fine with her global entry getting revoked, does it suck, yes. But we knew the risks. I'm just upset the vendor sent it the same route as the first package that got seized.

I'd be much more concerned her passport getting invalidated, but everything I've read on that is it would have to be an extreme case, and not just small personal use packages.
