What's so great about pens? (sell me)

I agree with her. It also feels like you are attacking her cause this thread didn't go the way you thought it should.
You're welcome to think whatever you like. She lost the argument when she decided that I misgendered her or him, like it matters. Incidentally, you also just misgendered him. How dare you!

At the risk of repeating myself --
"Your query was very general. We are trying to help you here. So far you are not making it easy.

Can you help provide us with some specific questions you have?
That might guide us if we are going to be more useful to you."

did that, scroll up. wouldn't want to deny you your hard work of thread-searching like some lazy do nothing. God forbid you make that capitol offense mistake!
Not sure why you are going off here, literally asking you what you want to know so they can help.
You do you but you are not making it easy to want to converse in an adult manner.
As far as pens, the only feasible thing would be to get a pen for each pep as switching the cartridges would cross out any convenience the pens offer. The upfront cost would be worth it for that many pins a day.

Would now be a good time to mention that I ran out of pen needles and I've not only been using the same needle for weeks on end; I have even resorted to taking the needle from my VIP pen and putting it on my Reta pen, and then back again, etc?

The sled dog team is bringing in care packages from home tomorrow, to the remote outpost. Hopefully my wife sent me 60 needles, and not 60 filters...

WTH are you? It sounds pretty awesome 👍🏻
Note to self, bring lots of everything if you need to depend on sled dogs for resupply. Wait!! Please tell me amazon has a sled team

Okay now. This is the needle going into the cartridge vial, not the needle going into you, riiiiiightah?

Rondo,
There was this person who typed a bunch of stuff. Then there was another one that typed a bunch of stuff. It was almost like facebook or reddit for a bit. And I haven't got to use the word "fuckery" in awhile.
God damnit, I was having myself a nice peaceful evening, and I was just getting ready to report to my work wife that Olivia Rodrigo's "Driver's License" and Johnny Cash's "Folsom Prison Blues" sound exactly the same on my drum, and then some dude just casually drops "also, btw, I've been using the same needle for weeks tee hee" in the middle of a thread where people were already writing each other longer and longer responses, and now my Folsom Prison Blues/Driver's License mashup is just gonna go on hold while I watch this play out.

Edit: No, autocorrect, it's FolsoM, get your shit together!

I think I owe you an apology, unless you deleted part of your post, but I don't think you did. Based on my re-read, I was out of line and you were perfectly helpful. I must've confused you for a mob pile on person and lashed out like a dick.

That's on me, that's my bad. I take ownership here, and I appreciate your response. I did in fact very quickly in the thread specify that I was pinning 10-15 times daily and that seemed logistically challenging as far as pens go. I'd love to know what people in my boat do abotu that, if anything.

Again, My bad, my apologies.

No tee hee involved. I ran the fugg out. No more needles.

What am I supposed to do? Quit cold turkey? Got down to the chow hall and borrow Cookies' marinade injector? Amazon isn't an option here. No street address. Care packages from home are, 1x/Mo, when the sled dogs are available.

In my defense, I brought enough needles. Unfortunately I switched from EZ Touch 31G to GlucoCare 32G and damn do I bend these POS GlucoCares all the damned time. Just putting the cap on, I trashed half a dozen. Another handful bent when stabbing myself. The handful of EZ Touch I had on a few pens are all that survived.

Fun fact for the day, if you fold one over, you can't just bend it straight and try again. Gotta change the needle and try again, unless you want to risk the broken stump getting lodged in a fat roll. 0/10, would not recommend.

But mostly, this post is to draw heat from the newb that you're all jumping on because he didn't pose the question you wanted him to. I was a newb once. One sympathizes. Plus, I'm happy to stir the pot. /s

Bro how in the world did you get to doing 10 injections a day and you aren’t familiar with injections pens yet?

You don’t have a point of your post tho. You are asking people to spoon feed you very basic information about the benefit of an injection pen.
I actually didn't ask to be spoon fed at all, you just decided that i did, incorrectly. I asked "what's so great about pens". A reasonable take on that question should be something like "everyone has their own likes and preferences about pen usage, tell me yours". I didn't ask for a pens 101 tutorial, and detailed explanations. This thread went off the rails because a few bored people had nothing better to do than crap on it. They could have just passed it by.

You're right, as far as this one post is concerned. i have apologized and corrected myself.

Thank you.

With the pens, I was doing 7 pins a day and it really helped with getting them done in the mornings. Made the process really fast. Dial and stick, all of my peps are in pens now. Even my weekly one.

how do you store them? I'm not pushing back here but think it necessary to say I just pinned 6 shots with SQ syringes, it took me about 3 minutes to do. I imagine pens would take one minute. I find the SQ pins so quick and easy, and I kind of enjoy laying out the vials on my desk, looking at the clarity of the reconstituted peptides, and i find the overall process quite meditative. I'll certainly try pens but I wonder if you miss this aspect of it? Sometimes the process can be the best part.

I enjoy getting tipsy occasionally, but i very much also enjoy the drinking of the scotch, the smell, the relaxing nature of the drinking itself. It would lose a lot if i could just zap myself drunk. Know what I mean?

Are you using manuals, automatics or a combo? Do use use them for different purposes (like frequency or placement of pin)?

I only have one pen loaded (trying to take time in building my stack to acclimate, plus I have 150+ syringes I need to use), but I’m thinking of using autos for things I want to use in the derrière for the ease of injecting and then use manuals elsewhere.

Once I get a 3-D printer, Imma make this holder I designed with ChatGPT because I love gear and art deco style:1782957956158.webp

I also like this very stylish, simple enclosed 10 pen case on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/listing/4510490768/techpod10-travel-case-10-slot-vendor?ref=cart

Yes, ritual is lovely. I think the main thing is to do what you like. If that’s a meditation for you and it fits in your day, no need to change. You can always try a $15 pen (and some come with trial needles and cartridges)—if it’s not for you, no big loss.

I am more of a rush around person so I like getting it done. I do enjoy setting up my cartridges but on my time. I just store them in a lil $1 tray I got from dollar tree. I did the syringes for a long time but prefer the quickness in the mornings. I also find the pens easier for some shot placements on the backside.

I use manuals, just cheap V2s. I am looking at some autos but haven't made the jump yet. And yes, the backside pins are much easier....lol. Comes in handy with GHK-CU

You barge into every thread to announce that you are naughtily proud of reusing needles😆. I am curious now, what exactly are you doing out there with the polar bears?

I would venture a guess that he was spinning a yarn for reason quoted above.
Perhaps drawing from the huge drama thread caused The Fisherman Guy who kept rage baiting about re-using needles.

It was a thread which wouldn't die and got resurrected for more than 5 months. Fisherman Dude got more and more aggressive/obnoxious and eventually got himself banned. I'm not sure I ought to link to it here but for those curious, search needle safety.

Ah - maybe. But they do this quite often. I have seen it a few times now. People would be talking, and they just pop in to announce that they are reusing needles. I am assuming, with a mischievous glint in their eyes.

At this point I just need to know. Are they just trolling? Or are they out there in the Arctic somewhere? And if yes, then what are they doing there? Also, how do you get that gig?
