If you suddenly realize it's time to panic buy, it's usually already too late. Preparation makes all the difference. I am happy I have enough of essentials to last through the current presidential term, but I will probably still try to stock up on less important things which I don't use often. If I lose my money it's not the end of the world, I still have the important stuff
