Hey everyone! I’m a 33 year old guy who’s chronically overweight. I have struggled with it my whole life. I was on Mounjaro off label for weight loss several years ago and it was like magic- the weight just fell off, and I lost over 80lb in 6 months. Unfortunately my insurance didn’t cover it so after the savings card, it was just prohibitively expensive to get. I gained everything back over the next couple years.

I was introduced to the grey market earlier this year and started hearing about Retatrutide. I recently started taking it so I’m hoping to start losing weight again. I found this community and I wanted to chat with other folks to see how Reta is treating them and the progress they’ve made.

Glad to be here! 😁

Welcome! My story is the same as yours. I gained all of it back after coming off due to the $25 card expiring and MJ was too expensive. Give the whole forum a look around. There is a TON of information here on multiple topics that’ll help!

Welcome! 🤗 Can I ask why you decided to go on Reta instead of trying Tirz again?
The person who introduced me to the grey market is on Reta, and it is working very well for them. I looked a bit into the clinical trials for it and it seems like reta may be even more effective for weight loss than tirz, which is why I decided to start on it.

Hi Brushman! I’m new here too and have been thinking about switching to Reta. The weight loss on triz has been pretty slow. Still not sure about the switch though. Do you feel any different being on Reta?
I’ve only been on it for a couple weeks so I can’t say yet how the weight loss is going to look long term. When I was on tirz, I had pretty bad nausea after taking it- and I haven’t noticed that with Reta yet. I went from 2.5mg to 7.5mg over several months when taking tirz. With Reta, I am only taking 1mg 2x/week right now so that may just be due to the low/split dosage. Appetite suppression feels pretty similar to tirz right now.

Hey! Thanks for reaching out. Yeah, those savings cards are great, but they should allow annual renewal for sure. I’m sorry to hear you experienced regain. Did you have WLS surgery too? Was kinda thinking maybe I wouldn’t regain as much if I quit, but uncertain. I thought about titrating down. Any experience with that?

Gotcha! I have a story similar to yours, so was curious. I’ve been on tirz 5mg for a while now and not losing much, so I’m always interested to hear how it is for people switching to Reta.
