The amount of sheer buffoonery on TikTok I fear is creating massive problems with vendors and also leading to the quality control, payment option limitations and other insane shenanigans we are seeing.

And this is mostly coming from uneducated newbies, all demanding vendor lists without any research or understanding how the market works. The way these people act toward these vendors are appalling and then when they don’t receive their products in 7 days or less initiate PayPal disputes, Alibaba disputes, go on TikTok and whip up hysteria. It’s legit creating a domino effect.

Another big issue is these newbies who know nothing fighting against the “gatekeepers” saying everyone should have this information and publicly sharing all the vendors in massive lists, with contact information thinking they are white knighting for the market.

The vendors didn’t need or want the extra publicity. They choose how to advertise. I’ve had several of my reps begging folks to please stop.

I fear this is only going to get worse. Customs is cracking down. FDA is cracking down. Costs are shifting. Payment options becoming more limited.

The market will survive. It always does. But it may look quite different and the people who refuse to educate themselves aren’t doing anyone any favors.

Sorry needed to rant. So freaking frustrated at the idiocy I am seeing. People want everything served up to them without knowing the ins and outs, treat it like China Amazon and then when things don’t go there way flip out and spread massive amounts of misinformation.

I agree with you. The same people are compromising this site as well and im sure at least some of the influx of new users is from that hood rat that was posting about us on TikTok. I think we need to do a better job gatekeeping and maybe be less “helpful” towards newbies looking for the easy road.

We are doomed. We should have fixed lines phone numbers with these wheels to mark the numbers... that way we would be safe.
But no, really, some youngsters are out of TikTok... or only watching. Anyway, we're doomed as species. (sorry for potato English)

I agree 100%! Although I have only been here since April, I rarely post but have probably read more here than I did in some grades in school! You just hate to see how some LAZY people ruin things and make it difficult for a lot of other people that are willing to do some research and read until they comprehend things. It seems a lot of newer people are more interested in posting content (probably from someone who did their due diligence and learned over time) on social media sites for a few clicks trying to get their 5 mins of fame thinking that is going to benefit them or the Gray community - quite the opposite!🙁

You are 100% right. It is one of the reasons why I started hoarding. I feel like one day something is going to happen that is going to make it very difficult to get.

I see more and more posts on Reddit from people who don't know the basics but somehow wound up buying a vial of Reta. Like they don't even realize the vials come in powder/puck form. They think it is shady if the vials are not labeled. They don't know what a kit is. They post the literal dumbest questions. They can't do basic math like what is 20mg divided by 10. They ask questions like "Is 10mg more than 5mg". One GI symptom and they are posting about how terrible it is and "Is it normal to have diarrhea" ....

I read something that said AI use (and I think Tiktok use tbh) is rotting people's brains and I believe it.

Plus combine that with spending their rent money and last dollar on glp1s, expecting vendors to ship out immediately after payment like Amazon does, not understanding it can take weeks to get from Asia to the US, not understanding Chinese holidays, customs, or just general international shipping...Yeah it is a recipe for disaster. It is just going to take one media expose or high profile death blamed on GLP1 grey stuff for the ban hammers to start coming down.

I feel the same way! I'm getting that itchy feeling again. I have almost 2 years or more because I will eventually go on maintenance, but want to buy another few kits.😄

I'm just commenting on your username. I love it! Also, probably your dog can do better math than Tiktokers.

I totally get the problem and am not sure how to avoid it. Maybe the vendors need to do Crypto only on 1st purchase.
I think we are in the midst of changes that may help mitigate the issues here, but it is tough to control.
I do feel for those folks who are, legitimately, needing to solve a real life problem and get the meds they need; and most of those take it more seriously.

I wrote a poem about it~

I'm surprised the pricing hasn't gone up for now, especially with reta.

But to summarize this thread:

Hoard everything until your partner threatens divorce 😉

Maybe the vendors need to do Crypto only on 1st purchase.

I am surprised how many people are reluctant to do even Bitcoin, unlike some other currencies that can use different networks.

I am so glad this came up. The more I learn, the more I begin to get a little concerned that it is all going to go away. I've been wondering about stockpiling. I only have partial kits left, and because I can really see the difference that a few peptides have made, I want to keep using them for as long as possible. I get Mounjaro now through my insurance, and combined with another workplace benefit, all of my diabetes medications and devices are free. However, I know that insurance companies can drop meds on the turn of the dime, and my small stockpile will be gone in seven months if I am dropped from MODA.

The Amino Asylum takedown was a jolt, also.

I totally agree, it's worrisome. I really have an itch to purchase more. I feel the more that someone has, gives them lead way for what's to come. It's good to have backups. You have to do what you have to do.

Same prolly 3 years.... wish we could slowly accumulate kits and bury 15 to 20 years worth in the yard.... just don't store 7 kits in Iran like me... lostem over the weekend.

This may be the best time to buy, if it can only get worse:

Google Gemini said:
While the illicit trade of GLP-1s and other peptides from China is unlikely to disappear entirely, it is expected to face increasing challenges due to amplified international pressure, stricter Chinese regulations (both direct and indirect), intensified enforcement efforts by importing countries, and growing public awareness of the associated risks. This will likely lead to higher costs, greater difficulty in sourcing, and a higher probability of encountering substandard or dangerous products for those who attempt to purchase them illicitly.
The "harder to buy" phase is already in motion and will continue to escalate significantly over the next 1-2 years, driven by aggressive enforcement, legal actions, and increasing regulatory scrutiny on both the supply and demand sides of the illicit GLP-1 and peptide market.

Payment options are getting scarce. Some of the online stores can't even hold a sale because the cc gets shut down.

Let's take a step back here, how easy is it to procure drugs in many countries? Not like the ones we get, I'm talking DRUGS (cocaine/weed/prescription/fentanyl). There has and ALWAYS will be an underground of traffickers and systems for people willing to put forth the effort, as there is decent profit to be made in this endeavor.

I have partaken in many black markets over my time for many different purposes. Security/access over time fluctuates, but in general SOME path is always there.

Let's take a look at what we are doing, bringing in non-schedule drugs from a foreign country that are non-addictive and in general are a POSITIVE net effect on the world/communities we live in.

There is a MORAL high ground vs. the pharmaceutical industry that many people can plot their way through in what we do (assuming your country like US is charging 10-15X what other countries are being charged), and some of us even allow people who cannot afford this life-saving/altering medication to partake as a means of social benefit. Name another drug where being a "dealer" can be construed as you are one of the "good guys", or "fighting against corporate greed".

Is what we do illegal? If you are taking them as a sole individual, then the answer is "Maybe", that alone is a HUGE difference vs. many of these other drugs i listed.

In terms of danger, this is about the least dangerous "drug" you can get yourself caught with/produce, so it attracts MANY people, as it is fantastic from a use perspective and it's fairly low risk on the legal perspective.

If profits are high, risks are low, then you can be ASSURED that markets will appear when/if the current markets are shut down. There are literally hundreds of examples that show accessibility and reducing costs are greater pushes against black markets than regulation/security. I know we are in an era of what seems like pure stupidity rules, but the math doesn't change that much to the outcomes.

The other point here is, patent exclusivity expires, but the efficacy of these treatments doesn't get worse over time, so the "black market" for most of these GLP-1's only has to exist for like another 5 years, as at that point generics can be trucked in from other countries, and the big pharma really will only be looking like more of an asshole.

It's also possible we will have to test every kit if vendors of the future are more shady or vendory, or if the manufacturers become more amateur.

On an emotional level, even a delay in customs can make people think twice about the future.

Organizational testing will continue to be done, as it's not illegal at all. What you are describing is temporary in nature.

And to really drive the point home of cost, let's say tirz doubles in price to about $1 per mg, and you have to test each kit.

For a 300mg kit (30mg X 10), you have 270 mg after testing a vial, and you spent $300 for that kit, then you spent another $315 for testing + shipping for that vial:

- Total all-in cost = $615 for 270 mg of tirz.
- Next best price for tirz from pharma as in this scenario, all compounded is gone (it's still in semi-supply right now), would be $599/month, or for 30/60mg, that's $10-20/mg (depending on these high dosages).

You are at ~ $2.25/mg for verified good grey and a good 5X cheaper than pharma basis.

This is kind of looking at WORST case scenario, so grey will continue to thrive IMO, as the math definitely works in the risk/reward favor for a LONG time.

Keep in mind there will be group testing/larger buys of the same batches, so this is an EXTREMELY bad purchase example, and you still come out like a bandit. If this situation exists and you aren't buying multiple kits/larger mg kits, or working with a group buy to consolidate testing costs, well that's just personal financial Darwinism in my eyes.

The main reason this price increase would happen would be built in price conditioning with the expectation that half of all shipments are seized. I sincerely doubt that any customs enforcement is anywhere near that effective. MAYBE 20%, as randomized testing is not that effective if you don't have sophisticated technology to auto-detect the specific substance you are going for (and for GLP-1's that does not exist to my knowledge).

The smart vendors already measure this loss % and account for it in their price, but I would assume that the cost of product is either maintaining or reducing over time, as it's not like anyone is figuring out how to make the main GLP-1's anymore, it's all well understood how to make it, so naturally over time if the value is there, more will try.

In all reality, what I would expect to happen is what has already been happening:
- Prices maintain or raise very slightly due to constraints listed above.
- Shipping from US warehouses becomes the predominant form of purchasing (as the seizure loss is already accounted for in the cost), so the vendors can KNOW their profit before it ships.
- Vendors cycle in/out more frequently, as increased scrutiny is pushed onto them, but it's really just name changes over time.

I'm honestly surprised prices haven't been raised higher, and i would expect that reflects my assumption that the customs seizures are not that effective as a % of total.

Ultimately, the vendors are in it to make a profit, and what basic math and perception is telling us is that these GLP-1's are currently still profitable at the pricing levels that we are seeing. Pricing is generally forward looking, not backward looking, so the prices we are being charged now for existing inventory in the warehouses is probably the price of what it is taking to get into the country with all the stupid annoyances that come with it.

At least we agree the prices aren't going down anytime soon. BUY NOW, hahaha.

For peptides, I have only bought for domestic shipping. So I do hope the domestic vendors and US "warehouses" continue to be part of the solution to increased scrutiny. OTOH, they can also become targets.

I'm new here, but I'm not new to my struggle with a healthy weight. From what I have gathered so far, peptides have been available for quite a while for other uses other than losing weight. In my journey, I started working out with my mom when I was 11 doing the 20 Minute Workout on TV in the 80's. Joined my first gym at 15. I was told by my best friend's mom that I still had "baby fat"👶 when I was 16. Had my first baby with my husband when I was 20🫄 and after that he sang the Jello song to me (look it up) and liked to poke my belly and coo like the Pillsbury Dough Boy. After my first divorce at 22 I took my first Phentermine pill and thought I was living again!💃 When I was 31 I decided to have Roux n Y Gastric Bypass surgery that changed my life as a mother of 3 young children. And on and on....life happened.
In Sept 25, I realized my maxed out blood pressure meds and nightly drinking were not working and I would most likely die sooner than later, I forked out the $500 a month to my doc for compounded semiglutide. I drive a 99 Chevy and frankly, folks, I need a new car! lol
Here I went down my rabbit hole after purchasing what I now know is "grey" from a childhood friend online....I have found something that I can actually look at as being lifelong help for my mind fuck with food and my body and people are being so irresponsible with sharing the information I am just so grateful to have. WTF???? 😠😡I do not want to panic buy as I can not afford that but.....I have 60 viles on the way, thinking about freezer space and how to buy more. I've figured out crypto! 😀
For those of you that have worked hard to build these online resources, THANK YOU! I can only imagine your frustration with what is going on. I promise to be discreet and responsible to this community on this journey! 🤝🤜🤛🦋🦋
