Hey everyone. Very glad to have found this forum. I have no one in my personal life that I can discuss glp1 with.

I am from southern New England in the United States. I'm in my mid-40s and have been prescribed Mounjaro since October 2024, for type 2 diabetes. To date, I have lost 35 pounds. I am on 15mg and it doesn't seem to be working as well as before so I am also exploring different eating styles (intermittent fasting, keto) and trying to increase my movement. I'd like to lose another 25lbs.

I look forward to reading, learning and interacting with you all.

Welcome!

Are you losing less than a pound a week, on average? If so, that is normal at times.

And, of course, weight loss is always less dramatic than in the beginning.

My favorite saying for a stall: "Infinite patience produces instant results."

Welcome. Just don't tell us New Haven and Hartford have the best pizza on the East coast...

Yes, the weight loss stalled for a long time. I started at 190 in Oct 2024. I reached 160 on Feb 9, 2025 so 30lbs in 4 months. I then hovered at 160 until June 2025 when I started intermittent fasting. I spent a month doing 36:12 fasts and saw as low as 149, but currently am 155 as I have taken a week off IF. This is definitely a stall. I added a small amount of cagrilintide, but the dose is still so low that it has no effect yet. I have also introduced reta, again a very very small dose, and I am going to titrate my mounjaro down starting this Tuesdays shot day. Hoping I can shake up the stall and push my body past this new set point.

I actually just moved to the New Haven area from Massachusetts and I hate the pizza here. The pizza in MA is so different... and I miss it.
I was born in Boston and my Moms side are all in Mass and NH.... I grew up in PA. Eastern PA, NJ and NY has the best pizza I think. But Boston has the best Chinese food I ever had, especially their lil China section.

YES! Boston Chinese food is straight out of God's personal wok. Unmatched.
