Hi all,

I just bumped my Reta dose to 2mg 2x/wk and I’m dropping lbs.

Here’s my shot record for Reta:

2. Thurs May 29: 0.5mg
3. Mon June 2: 0.5mg & Thurs June 5: 0.5mg
4. Mon June 9: 1mg & Thurs June 12: 1mg
5. Mon June 16: 1mg & Thurs June 19: 1.5mg
6. Mon June 23: 1.5mg & Thurs June 26: 1.5mg
7. Mon June 30: 2mg & Thurs July 2: 2mg

The last three shots and my overall weight graph are as follows:

I lost 3.6 lbs last week?! I’ve been working out 2x a day for a month now. That’s once in the morning fasted and an evening gym class. And I’ve been working with the evening gym classes for 3+ years. It can’t be water weight… right?

Don’t think I’m losing muscle mass- keeping up with protein and I’m still feeling strong in the gym (the one month I was on tirzepatide prior, I felt very weak at the gym).

Is this sustainable weight loss? All the weeks prior were averaging at 1.4lbs loss per week.

I’m not a doctor but from what I’ve seen and experienced, fast weight loss can raise a few flags depending on how your body is responding. Are you feeling dizzy or weak, or losing a lot of muscle? Those are signs it might be too fast.

No, none of those signs luckily! Feeling strong in the gym and I have energy throughout the day.

Fast weight loss feels great, and gives you a lot of motivation! But keep in mind that pancreatitis and cholelithiasis exist, and dropping weight too fast can make your pancreas and gallbladder unhappy- we want you to get healthy, not drop so fast you have other heath issues! Keep working out, and focusing on your protein and fiber. Pay attention to nutrition and working out, more than numbers on the scale- you're putting on muscle too, and muscle weighs more than the fat you lose! Don't be discouraged if this rapid loss slows or even stalls, pay attention to the trend, overall. If you're worried you're losing too fast that's a GREAT excuse to chow down on your favorite protein, especially if you're working out. ❤️

Ifyou didn't train before, a big part of the weght is actually water, new fat is what you lose first and it has more water than old fat, plus your body starts burning calories which consunes water as well. If you don't have dizzines or weakness symptoms, you're probably good. Also, be certain that weight loss is going to slow down in a few months. Don't increase dosage too fast, residual life is a couple of weeks on these compounds

You always have the best advice ❤️ out of an abundance of caution I’ve cut down the morning work out two days but I’m keeping my evening workout! Monitoring my protein and trying to eat even more than usual! ❤️

I beeeen working out that’s why I was so confused! 🤔 I’m monitoring weakness symptoms like a hawk! Thank you so much for helping’

I’m not sure of your routine in the gym, but if you are not giving muscle time to recover, you won’t see those gains. Measure your target areas (waist, arms, neck, chest, etc.) and judge yourself on that. The scale is a tool but it’s fickle and not to be trusted.
So true! I try to rotate body parts so I’m not doing leg days two days in a row and some days are just cardio, or yoga or Pilates which is easier.

Measurements are definitely going down I lost arm fat and thigh fat like crazy. This week I decreased on exercise so I’ll update the weight loss by Sunday here- I think it’s not as much as last week so that’s good!

Scale is a liar lol I ate pizza last night and I’m back up to 155 because it’s not out of me yet 😭
