To be fair, the thing about checking Halloween candy came about because in the 80s someone had put razor blades in apples and popcorn balls. This wouldn't be the same as there has yet to be any reported issue of fentanyl in gray glps

And I believe in those instances with the razors in apples, it turned out to be pranks by children.

Man, if you're gonna worry about something, worry about Carfentanil or Botox. Those are dangerous below 1% contamination ~10ug. Botox is crazy effective below ng levels.

IIRC there was one instance of a parent poisoning their kid’s candy on purpose, and he tried to poison other kids to draw away suspicion. It was for life insurance.

Then a few pranks by friends and family.

And oddly enough a few where people were upset that nobody seemed concerned about poison or razor blades in candy, so they put poison and razor blades in candy to prove that it could really happen.
