Anyone ever hear of Alpha+Omega peptides OR pure peptides?

both are making and selling their own BAC water which is way cheaper than HOSPIRA now. i asked for sterility results and Pure said they are working with 3rd party testers now and Alpha said that its just water and alcohol. not a professional response

Just got the USPS notification email of whats arriving today.

The FDA letter is coming today

I keep forgetting we have Giphy...

its happening the office GIF

My understanding is that a prescription will clear the hold. Maybe your doc could help you with that. Good luck!

Doctors can't write a prescription for reconstituting peptides from sources discussed here. They would lose their license. Please tell me what I am suppose to tell my doctor that I needed to order bac water from Canada for?

Responding is an admission of guilt. Just accept the loss.

Birth Supplies Canada said they will open an inquiry with Canada Post to see what happened with package after 28 days from shipping date which is this week. I'm assuming they will only do that if I complain to BSC that I have not received it. Any harm letting them do that?

Personally (with nothing to back this up other than life experience and being suspicious of everyone) I believe they know exactly what happened and are now just going to try to run out the clock on credit card disputes with their "we'll ask Canada Post to look into this" delay tactic.

Like I said in a previous post, anyone who receives a letter and doesn't respond to it will likely see the shipment returned to sender eventually which makes it much more likely they'll be willing to refund the product (maybe not the shipping).

Bottom line IMHO is that this "source" is probably about done selling/shipping to the US.

I did not advise BSC that I received a letter because then the onus is on me to respond. But I wonder if the same letter is also sent to the shipper.

I would never order from them again because definitely not worth the stress to save a few bucks, but who would have thought FDA/Customs would have scrutinized bac water. I also wonder what does bac water have to do with birth supplies 🤔

But my question is whether I should follow up and let them investigate or if that would increase chances of affecting my GE? I dont think it should because its not really a violation. But you never know , I have heard people losing it for ridiculous reasons.

The other issue is that I used a prepaid card that expires at end of the month. So any refund would have to be quick unless I can get them to credit another form of payment. It also makes disputing it with the credit card company not worth the hassle.

Personally, I would mostly let it go, except for following up later if they got it back. If it is returned to them, I would maybe use a store credit for gloves or whatever.

If you are interested in purchasing from them just sign up for their in stock alerts.

But I will tell you what I think when I receive them and share pics
I’ve purchased from them. Just got a letter from the FDA because they are being held. Not sure if I will get a refund from the company or not. I sent an email and they responded and said it was being sent to another department.

Just got another email from Birth Supplies Canada: (attached)

Highlighted the more interesting parts , at least from my perspective

So sad. Recieved the same letter today. Held by Department of Health and Human Services for the follwing reasons: it lacks adequate directions for use, and does not contain the Rx only on its label, and appears to be a prescription drug.

I plan on doing nothing about it... lesson learned, be more careful with international shipments. I really do hope that they send it back to the birth supplies Canada....with it being in such short supply everywhere at least then some other Canadian can use it....and maybe I will get back some of the money.

I do kind of want to add the frustration though that it is not a prescription in Canada or the State of Washington. And, that takes care of number 2. Also, because it is not a prescription it shouldn't need directions for use.

But, I guess it is breaking some federal rule... of imports. But, it was made in the USA, sent to Canada, and then back to the USA. It wasn't made there and imported in....

Anyway, I did find an american website that sold me 5 bottles...probably the amount I will need for a year, and have recieved it. And, yes it was almost three times the cost. Still worth it... because I actually have it and it is Hospira brand, and no more worry about PH or destroying peptides etc.

Without getting too deep into the weeds, the FDA classifies it as a prescription "medication", so technically that is the case in all 50 states, but just like weed it's one of those things that varies; if you tried to have weed shipped from Canada the same thing (and probably worse) would happen. Ultimately what the FDA says on imports takes precedence over anything else.
