Hi everyone. I don't post as often as I used to as I've been on maintenance for a long time. I've been gaining and losing the same 3 lb since June, which I guess is how it's supposed to work

Always, I had a tummy tuck done today, and I now have a V-shape stomach! Even with the bandages you can see how much the surgery shaped my entire abdomen and chest by pulling all the skin around. I'm not much for blogging and vlogging, but I'm happy to tell anyone how it went in a week or so and keep you posted.

Weight: Starting 265
Height: 6'0
Treatment: Started Tirz 3/2024. I titrated up every 30 days (save the lecture please. I followed the study) to 15mg and stayed there.
Maintenance: 5mg Reta every 5 days. I probably could do less.

Surgery: won't say the place but it's in Georgia. Double Board Certified. $7500. Includes all aftercare

Wow! That would be an amazing result as it is! Maybe it's too fresh for the swelling (?) Even the bandaging is minimal.

You look leaner than Michael Phelps in his prime!

It was definitely right after I got home. The bruising did start below the belt for sale reason and there was a little bit of swelling on one side later. Recovery has been a bit more than anticipated. They tell you it feels like you did 100 situps. It's a bit worse than that, but getting better today. I'm still walking like a hunchback

No lipo was needed but the "pouch" that I thought was fat was removed with the skin. No muscle plication
@ZippityDooDah you mentioned the price being surprisingly affordable. While @clevesand definitely got a good price for what looks like great work, don’t get too excited, they didn’t need a very extensive procedure. Mine cost more than double what OP paid, in part because of the surgeon I chose, but also because I needed tightening all the way to my chest (fleur de lis tummy tuck — only google it if you haven’t eaten recently), muscle plication where they sew your abs back together, and lipo of the love handles. I gather you might have a weight loss history more akin to mine, so could require more than a straightforward paunch removal.

I've still got an old-school frame of reference when it comes to any kind of cosmetic surgery that if they need to cut more than 2-3cm it's a minimum of $10k. 🤪

I looked at lipo when I lost 100+ lbs the first time in '96 and the price back then was around $7k and they said I'd still probably need a tummy tuck for an additional $10k (those were Miami Beach top-5 surgeon prices, though everything I found at the time wasn't a whole lot cheaper).

I've occasionally pondered the idea of fleur de lis (especially recently since yours, and more especially since it's the symbol of my favorite province and language), but not enough to actually look into pricing. I assumed it was a $30k+ drop in the bucket so I may have to dig a little more deeply. I'm at the age where IDGAF about how I look, so it's not even about that so much as the inconvenience of what's left over getting in my way along with difficulty finding well-fitting clothes.

Mine was 18k all-in with a well respected, extremely experienced surgeon, that includes facilities and anesthesia. I’ll probably get some touch up lipo (my surgeon won’t lipo the abdomen during a tt for blood flow/recovery reasons, and I have some residual fullness under the belly button) and a mooby niptuck which might get me closer to that 30k but probably not all the way there.

I am definitely old and married enough not to give a f about my looks but a lifetime of insecurity is hard to shake

Amen to that. It really wasn't until after turning 50 that I've been able to stop caring about a lot of those kind of issues (to some degree at least).

Appreciate the info. Now starts the monthslong internal debate over convincing myself to chisel open my 401k to that degree.
