Off-topic: Where to buy Tazorac (tazarotene)

I have used All Day Chemist for years for Latisse, the eyelash growth serum, and they do require a prescription for it but I just gave them a fake one. Recently, they havent required a script, just the name and phone number for the prescribing physician, which I also just make up. never had a problem

Don't they need a prescription? I logged into their website and it looks like that to me.
They’re a reg Indian vendor like ugl sources here. The rx requirement is just to make them look more legit, but no, I’ve never sent in a rx and use them for several different meds.

If you’re on Meso, there are two more popular India vendors that have taz. Pct 24x7 is the better one imo. He said he thinks shipping will be resolved next week.

They are expecting to resume shipping on Sept 25th. I haven't used them since around 2010, but they were great back then, and they are still around, so that says a lot.

Thanks. I wasn't willing to wait. I placed an order through PCT 24X7, a vendor from the Meso site. I ordered tretinoin instead of Tazarotene. He told me that my order would ship from a different country. He did require that I pay an additional 20% for tariffs. I have a tracking number, although the package hasn't yet been received.

I just found them too. Are they in the US?

Just found out my India pkg from my normal vendor was seized 😡
Yeah, nothing from India is getting through via postal and DHL channels.

I thought CBP/FDA would never be working ports of entry together, and it looks like it really is happening.. Color me shocked and surprised.

Fentanyl is still as cheap and available as it's ever been, as well as meth and cocaine. But scripts and peps, they are going balls out on confiscation.

Hey, mine too!

So although I didn't get my stuff ...

I did get two separate super-official multi-page single-spaced letters (on yellow paper!) with United States Three-Letter Agency Logotypes up top assuring me that my 3 tubes of Tazarotene 0.1mg cream were first CONFISCATED and then later DESTROYED all in the spirit of protecting me from foreign-made (eeesh!) medicines that had not been prescribed by a red white and blue US physician.

Whew. I feel safer already.

How could I have ever been so foolish as to trust ReliableRx Pharmacy all the way over yonder in India!?

I've now been federally re-educated to see that it would be much safer to spend three or four times as much for my wrinkle cream — and of course only after I paid a US doctor (probably born in India) to prescribe them.

Oh no, I've got a package from India on the way. My vendor is shipping via Dubai. Did your vendor do the same?

Well, I was just about to respond to "not forget about Medsmex," but that site is currently down also. I am hoping it's just down for updates.

I'm sure your vendor is Kawwal from DM. He also offered to re ship mine through Dubai (for 50% plus I still pay shipping). However talking with a respected member here who's also a customer-- Dubai takes a very long time, and I'm not convinced it'll go any easier.

One thing I DID talk with Kawwal about is that he has GOT to change his packaging and labeling. Putting it in Christmas wrap is not fooling anyone, and makes it stand out and get grabbed, opposite of discreet packaging. Coupled with the customs label, listing contents as "HEALTHCARE Products" is guaranteeing confiscation. If I do a re-ship with him, he said he'll label 'beauty products' and no gift wrap.

Please @karib574 keep us updated on the progress of your order!
By the way, when did you place the order?

You took the words right out of my mouth, lovely @Garbo!
The brands they sell are the same ones (made in India) being prescribed by US docs. Also, I take trazodone for sleep, prescribed by my MD, filled by my pharmacy--GUESS WHERE THEY'RE MADE!! 🙄 😒
I swear, if I don't find some stateside tretinoin supply and I get ONE BLOODY WRINKLE, heads are going to ROLL!!!

Because fent and c0ca!ine is not hurting big Pharma bottom line, so it can slide right in. The FDA beef up is (in my opinion) strictly for meds and healthcare stuff.

Maybe we should start having our tretinoin face cream hidden in fent/c0ca!ne shipments to get them past the watchdogs.....

Thanks for the advice. I decided to go with tretinoin (Retin-A) instead. I ordered it from PCT 24X7, an Indian pharmacy who is a sponsor on Meso. I saw that the item has been shipped. If it doesn't get through customs, then I'll have to go with a Plan B.
He has a free reship policy if it gets stuck in customs. 🙂 Hopefully it’s a non issue for you!

I've been buying European sunscreen for 20 years from France. this stuff is legal in the entire European Union, Australia, NZ, CN, Ireland, but have not been approved in the US.

The FDA has not approved any new UV filters since 1999. All of these other countries are saving lives (and preventing wrinkles in their old folks), but the US will not approve any new UV ingredients. Four tubes of my Bioderma Sunscreen were seized and destroyed three weeks ago. They were manufactured in France. France.

If I end up having to fly overseas to get sunscreen, I will. It is far superior to what we have in the USA. Apparently, the USA sees France as a third world country incapable of product testing and with unsanitary production methods.

Luckily, my ex-husband is British and we are on good enough terms that he will happily allow me to have packages delivered to his house and then will send them on to me. It also helps that he hates the United States.

For the time being I see a way of continuing to get Taz from India, tox from Korea, and sunscreen from France. I've got three years' worth of peptides in my freezer, but this stinks. There are a lot of people who are depending on overseas meds and peps and just cannot afford to get them in the United States.

I wonder if some of our UK and European members have ever thought about becoming re-shippers for us overprotected, harassed Americans?

By the way, I have bought 4 tubes of Bioderma a year since 2005, and never once had a package seized until a few weeks ago.

The federal government is trying harder to stop fentanyl from coming into the country than it is to stop anything that most of us might use. The difference is that folks want fentanyl far more than they want GLP-1 drugs. With enough money and effort, it is possible to bring drugs into the country. (I'm not encouraging anyone; doing so is risky and fentanyl has terrible effects.)

I only worried about some new enforcement policy related to the end of de minimis shipping. However, my guess is that the overwhelming percentage of packages will never be opened.

Wasn't being serious.
However, the army of new FDA hires that are working at/with customs has specifically been (by their own admission in news articles) looking for and targeting meds, healthcare products.

Exactly. The $$ resources invested in doing this have nothing to do with illicit drugs and everything to do with punitive consequences and cutting off alternative sources to US pharma/fda products.

Much of our regulations supposedly designed to protect safety are more about protecting US manufacturing. In 1776, Adam Smith wrote his Wealth of Nations, criticizing attempts to maintain a trade surplus through tariffs. While folks claim to support capitalism, they tend to ignore the beliefs of the father of capitalism.

I agree, but the current situation is not about tariff's, as I'm ok with paying a 20% tariff fee to get what I'm choosing to order.
The seizing and destroying of non-harmful goods is a new punitive and heavily funded activity that's not about safety. Tariffs were never mentioned in my FDA letter I received this week.

I think what gets confused in people's understanding (not you @keangkong I mean in general) is capitalism, crony capitalism and free market. What most people want to support is free market, they label it capitalism; but what we have operating today is the crony version.

Small businesses are hurt by the high tariff situation because America is never again going to manufacture the goods and materials needed for products that are supposedly "made in the US" or for trades that make their living. My husband is a commercial electrical contractor, and most everything is not made here, and the high tariffs put trades out of business. The extra costs and fees are passed down to the client and ultimately to the American consumers. Giant businesses and corporations are going to absorb the cost and pass it down as well.

Because the tariffs haven't deterred people's determination to take health into their own hands, the FDA beef up is the next level. One of the meds in my package was a name brand blood thinner for my brother in law. It's manufactured in Turkey and I believe also India. With his insurance it is $800 month! Less than 1/10th from India. Not a knock-off or dangerous non approved, exactly what would be received here. So the FDA is grabbing low-hanging fruit and congratulating themselves on a job well done.
