NAD+ injection vs supplement?

First has anyone noticed a difference by taking NAD+? The people on reddit say it fixes everything from a stomach Ace to acne.

What's your thoughts on supplements vs injections for NAD+.
NAD+ bioavailability through oral supplements is too low to make it worthwhile. The best way to get it is directly into the bloodstream, which is impractical for most people. IM is better than subcutaneous, but some people will argue that is even a waste. NAD precursors like Nicotinamide (B3) are absorbed well though. You can get B-Complex from India pretty cheap that contains B3, B5, B12 etc. If you are doing NAD+ you should take those as well.

I got b complex supplement from Walmart already, unless you are talking about an injection.

Is there anyone that can comment on the op question about seeing any benefits from NAD
I have used NAD since I have been on reta and honestly don't know if I can say that I have noticed anything. When I first started using it, there was maybe some effect but I suspect it was because I was expecting one (i.e placebo). I do still take it 3x per week at 100mg per dose but I can't really say if it has been useful for me.

I am actually planning to start running MOTS-C because of this. Supposedly there is a more marked effect that is noticeable with MOTS-C use.

I have an update. After several weeks of NAD from Loyal at 100mg every 3 days with zero signs of anything
I switched to NAD from Cain I could tell a difference right away with some immediate energy boost. My goal is for longer term cognitive therapy
I have a NAD testing kit sent in to see what my blood levels are after a few weeks of use

What is your dosing? I have definitely been in the haven't noticed a damn thing on NAD+ (subq).

I personally like the injection better than the pill. I feel the effects faster of course and it seems for longer if im consistent. It helps my mood and energy levels and helps my mind stay clear.

I spend a lot of my time at work listening to various fitness/nutrition/peptide podcasts and on one of them they were talking about how they only liked NAD+ via wearable patches. They didn't notice much from subq or oral and the IV NAD+ made them sick.

Same here NAD+ at 100mg and nothing even went over a few times to 150mg and nothing. So I gave up on it, and I have about 16 vials of it left.

Half life is super short on injections. I’ve been taking nicotinamide ribosome and after 2 months it’s been a huge gain in energy and clarity. However most NR supplements are bunk as tested by Tru Niagen and I don’t buy theirs either as it’s too expensive.

I have been diving into MOTS-C, seems interesting. Can you point me towards any resource you found really helpful from an education standpoint?

At first it made me sleepy….had to take a nap in the afternoon. When i made sure i took TMG every day, the sleepiness went away and i would have a 2 or 3 hours burst of energy. Overall i dont really think it does much. I was told by a fellow researcher that she found using 5 amino 1 made the NAD work much better for energy.

Wait… so they’ve tested other brands, which are all junk but they have a perfect solution for $$$$? Maybe I’m missing something but it seems a little convenient.

Napping off of a stimulant sounds ADHD-ish. (Speaking from experience.) Maybe that’s on the table for you?

Question… what is tmg?

Not necessarily, Tru Niagen tested 39 other brands, of which 87% were underdosed or non-existent. Some met or exceeded label claims.

So a local medspa recently offered a deal for 3x 50mg IM ininjections for $75. I bought them for both my wife and myself.

I freaking loved it, while my wife didn’t notice any real difference.

For me, I felt amazing for 2-3 days after each injection. My workouts were incredible, my sleep was better, and just overall felt great.

I will say that each injection had less effect than the shot before, so I assume my body was just getting used to it.

I intend to purchase a kit of it in the future

From what I know, NAD injection is not supposed to work because your cell can not take it up, and there are 0 studies showing that it works. Taking its precursors, like NR, might have a little better effect instead.

Keeping in mind that I have only had 4 doses of 25mg each, here is what I have noticed:

I slept longer
I fall asleep faster
I slept deeper
I wake up easier
I am not groggy

I have a looooong history of insomnia and routinely use over the counter sleep medication. In my attempts to avoid over using them but still get sleep I have a rule that I have to have 2 nights of little to no sleep in a row before I allow myself to take a pill on the 3rd night. This means that I had been taking a sleeping pill about twice a week for many years. I buy the pills in the big bottles. Since the NAD+ I have not taken a pill.

Do you take NAD+ in the evening?

Were do you get yours?

I have been taking 50mg daily for about 3 months now. I really like it. When I first started taking it I would get a little rush for about 5min after each injection. That died down, but I still feel energized for a few hours. My workouts are improved if I take it right before heading to the gym. I haven't noticed any cognitive benefits such as improved focus or mental clarity that some people seem to experience. Sleep has improved but I cant fully credit NAD since I started Tesa/Ipa around the same time and I think they have more to do with that. Overall I am happy with the benefits I have experienced and will continue to cycle it or maybe just drop to a once a week maintenance dose.

NAD+ INJECTION I love it.
NAD+ was the single biggest gain, for me anyway, of everything I have taken.
A little background to put it in perspective. I was 60yrs old, Hatchimotos and survived septic shock in 2023. I was on a lot of prescription meds, which were leading to a lot of inflammation, weight gain, extreme fatigue and brain fog.
So my NAD levels were probably on life support to begin with.
I started off very low (thankfully) at 25mg. I noticed it's effects w/i 45 minutes.
I had this weird tingling up my legs (if felt great to me) and my brain felt like it had been scrubbed with menthol.
My energy shot thru the roof (but not the jittery kind) and I swear I was in full blown squirrel mode, flitting from one project to the next (it did not help my focus in the beginning).
I cannot describe it, I just felt better and alive again.
Was able to get off my prescriptions w/i a couple weeks, I was feeling that much better.
Now here is the weirdest part of my NAD+ journey: it improved my eyesight. I'm not joking.
I thought to myself "no way"...but here I was, my glasses were no longer working to drive, I had to take them off to read the road signs.
So, I delved deeper into studies on pubmed and nih, and sure enough, there are real studies being conducted with NAD+ and age related vision loss.
So for me, NAD+ will forever be in my toolkit ...I would give up everything else before I gave up that.
Now, not everyone has as pronounced response as I did...we all know how our bodies respond differently...but yes. NAD+ is top tier, #1 for me.
I now take 50mg every other day.
Precursor supplements, while effective require much more time and build up in the system.

I love hearing this had such a profound effect for you!

Out of curiosity, have you run the full 14 week NAD+, ss-31, mots-c protocol, that's so popular on the internet these day?

If so, what was your take on it? If not, are you considering it?
