Hello,
I recently purchased a pack of tirz and I just injected my 5th dose (weekly). I started at 2.5mg and have even done half of that, and I’m finding the suppression to be too much. I’m a recreational physique athlete (retired), so food selection and macros are top priority and I have a very difficult time with this. I get nauseous from the hunger but the appetite is just not there, I want to vomit when I eat. The days I don’t lift, I can barely force 1000 calories.

I Have also been experiencing a lot of adrenaline dump. This likely contributes to the suppression. My RHR went from mid/high 50s to low/mid 60s and oftentimes in triple digits just from using the stairs or feeling nervous (never before). As someone with health anxiety, this just.. gives me more anxiety lol.

I chose tirz for the appetite suppression particularly for binge eating disorder and trying to drop binge eating pounds.

I haven’t even finished 1 vial and I have several more. I would be more curious to switch to Reta and don’t know what I’d do with the remainder of the vials. but was curious to hear other individuals perspectives. I don’t know how much longer I can handle the adrenaline dumps. I feel like I’m rarely at peace.

Maybe some more research (studying) is needed? I thought the slightly raised HR was a known effect for tirz? It definitely is for reta. Reta gave me a full +10 bpm at partial dose and that third effect it brings is why: the extra burn. Yes reta is liked by the bb community but if you’re jumping into it go in with your eyes wide open. It WILL raise hr.

Yes they are all “GLP-1 receptor agonists,” but that is just a portion of the molecule for tirz and reta. (They’re playing legos with these molecules which has been cool to watch. )

Don’t know much about the adrenaline dumps. Sorry I don’t have more offhand. Anxiety can be driven chemically… maybe when your eating gets stabilized it will ease.

.

Dose down. Huge side effects means dose down. Researchers needed to balance side effects with delivering results, they landed on 2.5 as a starter and 5.0 as “therapeutic.” If 2.5 is too much then… it’s too much. Some people never move off of 2.5mg and reach their goals.

These take 4 weeks to build up and stabilize in the body. If you’re impatient to ease things you may want to skip a week and then jump back in at half, this will let it work out of your system a bit then support lower levels ongoing.

There are online blood level calculators, find one you like. These calculators put out a graph, you’ll see it takes 4 weeks to build blood levels. I’m a visual type so I like them. They also show why the jump from 2.5-5mg and 5-7.5 (per studies) is real suckage for some people: the big spike is a fresh round of side effects.

Put in the doses you’ve done and you’ll see why the one different dose didn’t help side effects much.

Thanks for the reply. I’m aware of the increased heart rate, and I don’t necessarily mind it, but it is accompanied by the adrenaline dumps. It’s the adrenaline dumps that bother me. I am going to try spacing them further apart at half the 2.5mg dose and see what happens.

Those are not "adrenaline dumps." It's tiredness and lack of energy. This are an indirect result from a large reduction in calories (energy) and a direct result from the peptide itself. It probably happens to most Tirzepatide users at some level.
