I had a headache after the first couple of shots ( same thing happened on Sema.) After the first couple of shots it never happened again. Appetite suppression, on Reta, was non- existent until I got to 6 mg.
I started Sema in March, 2024 at 181 lbs ( 5 ft 1). Got down to 140 lbs on Sema then stalled. Went up to 155 lbs whilst taking a break and starting on Reta. Started Reta 4 months ago and down to 135 lbs now. I'm at 8 mg of Reta and my goal is around 120 lbs. For a total of 46 lbs so far.
I haven't had any blood tests since starting Reta so will be interested to see how they are looking. After a year of Sema, my bloods looked good and the last few months before having them, I was eating pretty normally. My only worry is that my Creatinine was at 51 after being on Sema, eating...
My RHR on Sema went up to 72 from mid 50's! On Reta, my RHR went up to 65 when I first started at 8 mgs but since then it's gone back down- 61 1st and 2nd day after shot then back down to 50's as week progresses. No change in RHR until I went to 8 mgs.
I was really nervous about Reta because of...
when I got to 4 or 6 I started having crazy appetite suppression- I've literally had to force myself to eat a couple of mouthfuls. Food is not appealing and I feel zero appetite. I doubt I manage a 1000 calories most days, still the scale wasn't moving! I also have a less sedentary job- hit...
Reta has been very slow for me! I didn't have any weight loss until I got to around 8 mg ( my current dose.) I have lost 17 lbs now. From what I've read, if you've done other weight loss peptides, then it doesn't work until higher doses. Personally I don't have much weight to lose ( max 20 lbs)...
I didn't get any appetite suppression until the 4th week on 4 mg. Even then it wasn't a huge amount! Like I said I didn't account for the 6 mg overfill on the 24mg of Reta so probably taking about 7.5mg. The appetite suppression now is insane- I have zero appetite and even a few mouthfuls is too...
I started at 1mg for 2 weeks ( was concerned about heart rate increase.) On sema my RHR went from 50's to 72 so was worried that Reta would make it even higher! No increase in RHR on 1mg so went to 2 mg after 2 weeks. I did 2 mg for 4 weeks then 4 mg for 4 weeks and now up to 6 mg. My RHR gets...
I made the mistake of buying a kit of 10 mg vials ( bought 2 domestic vials before that to test it out.) I used 2 of the vials when at 4 mg but now I'm upto 6 mg that means I get one full dose out of the 1 vial! Then have 2 do 2 shots for the next dose! I bought the 24 mg vials and using those...
I'm using Hospira from Medex. I have a feeling that BFF are using something in the filler which some people are more sensitive to. I have only read the stinging thing applying to BFF peptides and not to others. You are not alone with the stinging issue.
I started on 1 mg for 2 weeks ( my RHR increased from 50's to 72 on sema and was dreading what Reta might do!) Reta hasn't impacted my heart rate very much ( 60-62) so went upto 2 mg and then followed normal titration. Up to 6 mg now. Starting to see some weight loss at this dose and if at 4...
Give the slow release version a try if you haven't. Insurance doesn't usually allow the slow release version front line but if you have problems with normal release then they are fine about it. The slow release version usually doesn't have the same digestive problems.
