Finally hit a major milestone in my weightloss journey today, 100lbs lost, which is 30% of my starting weight in about 13 months. I haven't been great about logging my weight this past year, but I did have some data points along the way and asked AI to plot my weightloss against data in the SURMONT-1 study.

But I'm not here to toot my own horn (well maybe a little 😂), I just found the results interesting. Lots of people show weightloss graphs that have much sharper declining slopes than found in the SURMOUNT or even the TRIUMP studies. I wasn't even reaching the mean weightloss percentages when I first started and I'm thinking that might be due to being pre-diabetic.

At about 4 months ago, I started to break past the SURMOUNT results and today at 56 weeks definitely much lower than the average participant in that clinical. I'm trying to think about what happened 4 months ago that results in a shift in the slope and all I can attribute it to is that I started to track my calories and work with a nutritionist. I started stacking sema once a week at about week 50, but the slope doesn't change.

Anyways, that's my research today. Happy Saturday!

Congrats!

A hundred pounds that’s amazing!! I love reading stories like this and seeing people’s journeys. I’m currently down 80 pounds since last November, all from diet and exercise alone. I recently started learning more about peptides and added some to my journey, and they’ve really helped with the food noise for me. I also want to join the 100 club. Keep us updated on your progress!

GROGU! GROGU! GROGU!

Good job. I love the use of AI in this case. I may yoink your idea and plot my own against the trial data just to see it. How much more are you looking to lose?

Keep it up

Awesome work! Tracking calories and macros is innately beneficial for me to be aware of what I'm actually consuming.

Being pre diabetic, have you checked your A1C recently? I'd be surprised if it hasn't improved from the initial baseline.

Great Job. I lost 110#’s/ 34% over two years. Then stalked last summer. It looks like I’m finally losing weight again. Working losing 30 more pounds.

Thanks so much! When I was looking at my graph, the first thought was that "this don't look normal" then I had the brainstorm to superimpose the images. It took AI a few tries, but it got it done. I wish I had been better about logging my weight.

I think that I'd like to lose another 20 or 30 pounds. I'm in a men's 44L suit right now, but I looked in my closet this morning and found a 42L. It's the suit that I interviewed in for my current job 16 years ago. I want to fit into that. I think I was in the low 200s. Really not shooting for onderland.... I think for me niece's wedding a few years ago I ordered a 56L suit on Amazon.

Thanks again!

100 LBS!! JUST AMAZING !!! I bet you look like a whole new person. good job !!

Congratulations! This is fantastic. Did you lose all that on tirzepatide? How did you break the stall?

Totally agree about tracking calories and macros! Prior to tirzepatide I was a grazer. I would eat little bits of food all day long and find myself mindlessly in front of the fridge. Tirz ended all that, but the calorie and macro counting has really help me focus on three meals a day and two snacks.

A1C is great, 5.3. I also had hyperlipidemia and that has resolved too. I'm kinda addicted to lab work, kind of like how I'm addicted to tirz. My pcp regularly orders for me, but I also get an Rx from my online doctor and also an Rx from my nutritionist 😂. My health insurance plan pays 100% for lab work with no exclusions. They denied me for Zepbound, so I'm getting back at them by ordering labs all the time and going to a ton of doctors.

Congratulations on your 80lbs! That's fantastic and from diet and exercise only. To be honest, this is not the first time I've lost 100+ lbs in my lifetime, unfortunately. I'm really good at losing weight, just hadn't figured out how to keep it off. Now, with tirzepatide, I think I've found the solution. I'm sure you'll make 100lbs before you know it. Good luck on your journey too!

Thank you! Yes, it's quite a change. One of my family members said it's like losing a whole person.

One of the best things has been that airline travel is much easier. I fly a lot for work, maybe 60 domestic flights a year concentrated over about 8 months. At 335 this seat belt was at the very end and it was almost to the point where I was going to have to ask for the extender. I was literally at the end of my rope....

This picture is from October last year. I haven't flown since 12/10, so when I start flying again next week it will be interesting to see the seat belt. I'm sure my row mates will appreciate my new smaller size.
