After 3 months on tirz I thought I would share an update. I am down 15 pounds and while I am happy about that, it is the other benefits that have me super excited.

All of my inflammation issues are gone. I can see my knuckles again, my ankles aren't swollen at the end of the day, no aches or pains getting up in the morning.

My blood pressure is in a normal range without medication.

No dizzy spells from uneven blood sugar.

IBS issues were gone in less than a few days.

I can barely finish 1/2 a glass of wine at my weekly happy hour meetup, I used to have at least 3.

I plan to take this forever even after reaching my goal. What are some unexpected benefits you all have seen?

Congratulations on the weight loss!! Tirz has been a miracle drug for me too. I have been on maintenance after reaching my goal weight. People ask me if I will ever stop taking it. I say when I start craving debilitating arthritis, high blood sugar, high blood pressure I might stop!! My only fear is of running out. That's why I have a huge stock pile.

Congratulations on your progress to your goal! I began to take Tirz because of potential improvements to sleep apnea. My CPAP pressure has decreased tremendously and I think that lower inflammation has a large part of that. I have no problem in taking this drug for life if it means I don’t have to use CPAP each night. In addition to loosing weight I also enjoy decreased cravings or desire for alcohol.

I saw many of the same benefits. Down 48 lbs in 5 months.

I used to be in agony at the end of a day after taking a 3mi dog walk, now there's only slight discomfort.

Had to drop one BP med entirely, and cut the other dose in half.

Had IBS-D, but Tirz fixed that too.

A few negatives, though:

Been losing a lot of hair. Not a side effect of Tirz, per se, but of the poor nutrition I was engaging in due to lack of appetite. (I don't see hair loss, but the shower screen has a ton in it, and never used to). I've slowed my weight loss, and increased my calories from 8-900 to more like 1200.

Have that prickly skin like many people describe for Reta. (Like you had your arm out the window of the car while on the highway for an hour). Showed up when I raised to 7.5mg/wk. It has slowly improved with time, even as I increased to 10mg.

Red wine doesn't taste as good. Beer, Cigars too. Those are probably good side effects masked as bad side effects, though.

Multiple instances of Orthostatic Hypotension. Haven't completely blacked out, but had numerous close calls. Again, not Tirz related, but I seem to have lost my desire to drink water, and that causes this condition.

Here's a recent close call I had. 1 minute apart, on left sitting, on right standing.

I hear ya on the inflammation. A couple months in on Tirz and my knees felt better than they have in 20 years. Also, my wrist pain has mysteriously went away at some point after 4 months. Drinking is almost non-existent at this point. I kind of miss the drinking part.
