Theres a new lab opening up in Australia which will have $300 tests for purity, mass, sterility and endos.
Cant remember the name off top of head, but registered my email to be notified when they commence operations.
Thinking about organising a group buy through my discord server which is mainly Aus resellers. A couple of vendor options but leaning towards LKZ as heaps of 3rd party testing also going on, and heaps of Aussies who rate them (I also rate them).
But vendors are good, until they’re not 😂

There was an article in The Age newspaper today about 6 cases of liver toxicity caused by what is presumed to be a contaminant in Retatrutide. Not a lot of info on where it came from, picture is Utopia branding, and I think that is the source although I cannot confirm for certain it is not a stock picture.

So if anyone in Australia has Utopia branded reta do not use it

It also mentions a recent death in Victoria due to peptides that I will have to try to track down

It also mentions the TGA has instituted a crackdown on peptides sourced locally in Australia or from overseas, but not much in the way of detail. The TGA is like the local equivalent of the FDA, but peptides like Reta are listed as scheduled drugs here and there is nothing grey about their status, their import or sale without prescription and permit is illegal, though prosecution of individual buyers does not seem to be a thing.

Unfortunately this kind of thing is more or less inevitable, given the lack of testing and quality control in grey/black market peptides. I am only surprised I have not found more examples of this sort of thing, and this does seem to be a genuine case of a death from peptides from a reputable source, though I need more info. As far as I am concerned, even with these risks, I am better off using cheap Chinese GLP's, than putting back on 80 kilos with the enormous possible health risks, but for someone using them for bodybuilding cutting or non obese level weight, these risks might start to be more significant compared to the benefits. Without a lot more info there is no way to tell if this is something that could be detected by routine Jano testing or not.

Theres ALOT more garbage out there than anyone would believe. Theres risks here for sure, and no way to hold them accountable either.

I managed to score 10 vials of 20mg reta for $450 with a coa that was completed on the kit only one week ago.

I was happy paying that, as all these vendors suck and the ones that dont, wont ship to Australia. I would pay more out of my own pocket for a coa by importing than what i just paid.

Not to mention not having to deal with the import shit show.

This cluster of cases would surely make an interesting case series report in literature, and I would be very surprised if a toxicology service such as the Austin Hospital hasn’t been engaged to test out the products these individuals had at home with an upcoming report being worked on. Would be worth keeping an eye out for this.

My 2 cents are that there was clearly a bad batch of these medications being pushed by a boutique outfit who didn’t know much better than then next person on what they were buying -> selling themselves.

It baffles me how comfortable people are at buying something random from their gym/spa/fitness guru/alternative medicine fella/.com.au website but turn their nose up at the concept of ‘buying from China’. No one is developing Retatrutide locally, it all exclusively coming from overseas.

The difference is at least when you purchase from overseas you have a traceable vendor who is usually at most 1 step away from the manufacturer and typically ‘good’ vendors have trackable batch numbers which can later be community verified. Buying from your local ‘guy’ who has purchased their stuff from god knows where and just relabelled it is insane to me. The more middlemen there are between yourself and the manufacturer the more the chance of this sort of thing to happen.

Purchase grey from a vendor here who is known to be in the space for >1 year, has consistently good reviews, has evidence of community testing being done for their previous batches (and even more ideally their current batch you’re buying!) and you are far better off in trusting you won’t be injecting yourself with something awful. These vendors are out there and definitely still ship to Australia. My current go to starts with a U and rhymes with Luther 🙂.

Does anyone truly know what happened with these 6 cases ? I read somewhere one of them started at 12mgs , and did so twice a week.
