First dose 8 days ago (1mg). Second 1mg yesterday. I'm not super overweight (5'11, 205) and generally eat fairly healthy foods but I always eat a bit too much. It's ingrained in me as a kid to eat what's on my plate.

But tonight I just wasn't very hungry. Wife is an amazing cook, she made a nice dinner as always. Normally I chow down at dinner time. But I couldn't do it. Ate about half of what I normally would eat and it just didn't feel as good as normal.

Is this what Reta is like? I'm a peptide noob. Felt odd to not woof my dinner down.

I've been a tad lethargic past few days too. Maybe Reta too? Still new and learning how to adapt. Definitely need my energy to get work done.

For me, reta just helped me stop eating sooner and make it easier to say no to things.

Lower food noise, less (no) ability to over eat and helps you be more aware of what your body really needs.

14 weeks in and I'm down 70 lbs, a bunch of water weight and joint pain is reduced significantly. I'm gaining my life back day by day because of this med.

Things to remember:
Use reta as a tool, not as a "take and let things happen". I use it to help me intermittent fast daily 14 hours minimum, and help me control portion sizes so I am always staying on track to hit intake goals rather than just eat garbage for the sake of eating.

Drink water, lots of it, when you think you've had enough, drink some more. It helps keep you going.

Protein- shoot for a protein goal every day, I do .8 x my goal weight (280 lbs) so I hit 200 G of protein daily, this helps limit the filler I eat daily as I know I get full quick so I have to prioritize protein intake first and foremost.

Vitamins- Take a good multivitamin or look up "glp1 vitamin regime" in Google for recommended daily vitamin intake, this helps with how you feel thru the day.

Calories- have a minimum calorie goal daily, use a calorie deficit calculator and set that goal, then map out how you will get that goal. My daily intake for breakfast, lunch and snacks are the same every day so I know my intake every day before I decide on dinner. This gives me a base protein intake daily and a base calorie intake which means I only have to think of one meal a day.

Carbs- don't skip Carbs, your body needs them for fuel and part of Retas wonderness is that it helps your body get into "burn mode" more often. Without fuel you can't start the fire.

Going up- Ride out each dosing level as long as possible, yes the trials were titrating up every 4 weeks, your not in a clinical setting. When you feel like your not getting full benefits, move up, let your body tell you what to do.

If you have any questions, message me, I'm not an expert but I read every day on this med and I'm willing to share my thoughts and journey.

Love this. Nicely worded advice. Irl, I've seen a few people spend the money for the meds and then done very little to take advantage of them. You nailed it.

Thank you. One of my biggest issues is seeing ads on social media saying "take this and lose weight, nothing else needed" or labeling this stuff as the "miracle weight loss drug".

I recently helped a friend move from max dose Sema to Reta, she had been stalled for 9 months but the Sema literally immobilized her with side effects. She was getting her meds thru an online source without insurance and they never checked on how she was or even bothered to care about her. She's losing again on Reta and she's constantly questioning how it's working so well for her because she's able to live her life without debilitating side effects. Her husband thanks me every time I see him because she's night and day, I have her doing similar to what I do and she cannot believe how a little guidance has helped this part of her journey.

For me, reta has been pretty magical.

My first week my appetite was so suppressed and I lost so much weight I was worried that it would not be healthy long term. That phase passed quickly. Now that I am accustomed to my dose, my appetite is suppressed by about 1/3 and I get full a lot faster. I often eat OMAD (One Meal A Day) which makes it easy to hit that intermittent fasting goal of "8 hour eating window and nothing after 6 PM." I am losing approx 1.5 lb/week with zero effort, thought, or meaningful side effects.

I'm literally on the "let it happen" plan and it's working great. YMMV.

I should be paying better attention to nutrition and exercise, but that was true before, too. (I swear to you I cannot remember the last time I ate a vegetable, that's not a joke.)
