9 vials in a kit

I recently received my 2nd gray order, 2 kits and surprisingly one of them was missing a vial - there were only 9 vials in the box. I asked the vendor what happened, and s/he said that it was taken for testing. After asking further s/he replied that customs took one for test. Did anyone had similar experience before? I think if customs really tested the content, they would seize the package unless they were testing for drugs specifically. Vendor offered $5 discount for next order 😀

Let me know, I am curious if it's legit reason or the vendor is not trustworthy for further orders.

I am always skeptical that when someone has that happen that it was a returned kit for a bad test. For example, I know if you get your stuff tested and try to get a refund from the vendor, they have you mail the kit back for the refund. I’m sure they just send this off to the next person.

The worry wart in me would be scared I got one of those returned kits if I got 9. Or one just broke and they took it out. Who knows 🤷
 
I'd think if Customs did anything like that, they'd sent written notice to you (and/or the shipper). So no, I wouldn't believe your seller. At best, something went wrong with kit packing machinery/personnel and nobody noticed.

Not sure with your current "no source discussion" restriction what's allowed, but a more productive discussion could be had here if you could name the vendor.

Imo, they just didn't pack a full kit by mistake and now play dumb with ya. If customs paid any attention on your shipment, it wouldn't get to your door 100%. Human factor failed, it happens.

Now you got me worried. I didn't know vendors ask to ship back the batch... the tracking through Germany went smooth, no mention of customs checks.

That's the photo I received before packing. It's hard to see but looks like the upper kit is complete.

I really hope someone just swapped it and your assumption is correct.

This has been happening lately in the EU and UK. It is Customs doing this, apparently. There are pictures of even two vials missing. There is an article about this on X and sub stack by "Some Lady".

Polish from Eire😆 Witam kolege 😆 Anyway if the picture is legit, and it's exactly your shipment, that's quite bizarre. Did the parcel look like it was opened before delivery?

It seems to be ridiculous. Because if they find out these are peptides, they are suppose to seize the shipment. And on the other hand, can't believe they are able to test the powder so quick to know what exactly it is, without keeping shipment on hold for a good few days or even weeks. And if they release the shipment, without getting results of the test, makes no sense also. Because it might be fentanyl or anthrax for example...

Depends on what they are looking for and I'm sure the tests are fairly specific, not for every possible compound. A fent test only takes two minutes for identification. Then it would be confiscated to perform an HPLC analysis to build a case.

Alright, didn't know it is such a fast procedure. So assuming the customs really have taken that one vial, gave it a test and discovered these are peptides, not a "face mask powder" or anything which was in the description of the shipment, why wasn't it seized?

If it came from china I would be more comfortable. The ship backs I have heard about, they didn’t ask them to ship back to china.

If it’s a reputable vendor then you are probably fine.

I have no idea. I think what they determined is that they're aren't drugs and that's all, so they sent the rest on its way. I doubt they have any peptide tests given the number of them they would need. Again, this is all speculation at this point. As the article indicated, this has been happening more frequently in the EU and UK.
 
This happened with a recent order I got from China. I bought two kits, but one of them was missing a vial.

I talked to the vendor and they weren’t really sure what happened either. Their official stance was that it must have been customs, but the box didn’t look tampered with at all i.e. no tears or tape over tape to wrap up the parcel again.

Personally, I don’t think it was customs. If they had taken a vial to test, they’d probably have held the whole parcel or kept it for a while, not just remove one vial.

The vendor was nice enough to refund me, which I appreciate but it’s still annoying since now I’ll have to order sooner than I would have if I’d gotten the whole kit.

I’m in the UK, and it looks like a few other UK/EU customers from the same vendor had the same issue that week.
 
Did the package appear to be opened and re-closed? I'm sure you would notice if it had.

I also think they would have put some kind of note in it saying what they did and why you didn't get all of the product that was shipped to you.

This really seems like a lie to me.

Customs would take the whole package. Some vendors offer a free vial of whatever peptide as a sample if you ask.... of course you have to have a 1 kit purchase initially. Sounds like someone pulled a vial and forgot to move the kit to the sample shelf. I do this to my wife when i bring home a pizza and she says a slice is gone..... "Bastards" I reply....

How bout it? Big group buys of 500 kits you can get 60% off or better.... so if u pay 35 for a kit of t30, wed guess they gotta make 20-25 a kit... so they pay what , 9-12 bucks a kit for a salesgroup... so manufacturer costs 2.50 and they sell for 9.00 cuz theyre not selling 500 kits in 2 weeks, but much more....lets throw guesses out. Im goin with 2k kits a week...

It was whole wrapped with tape and didn't seem to have another layer so I would say no.

I think that's the most plausible explanation. The label was covering almost completely the slot for the vial. Thanks everyone for the input, hopefully it won't become a trend for EU shipments.

I will post vendor review once I have "no source discussion" removed.

Slam them. You shoulda at least got credit towards another order.
 
I can't remember where I read it but this has happened to a few people. There was some speculation that vendors where puling one out every few orders to make another kit since they were low in stock. I have no idea why this has started happening but I can't imagine Customs wouldn't document something on the package if they opened it.

The kit on the top is missing a vial. It didn't happen at customs. The vendor shorted you. I hate the idea that they'll make it right on the next order. That keeps me trapped to them. Nope. I fell for that once. Never again.

Sorry this happened to you. I hope you'll name the vendor when you're able/comfortable to do so.

Then why is this only happening for shipments to the EU and UK? Why wouldn't they be taking a vial from every kit, or every 20 kits, wherever they're going? From what I've seen it is only this specific area where this is happening. Why would a vendor create a customer service issue on purpose that they would need to make good and cost them more later? There is more going on here, IMO.
