Abdomen CT scan - oops..

it means no calcifications. if there were they would have to grade it.
I read that as that there are calcifications present. Typical CT imaging that is protocoled for abdomen/pelvis isn’t set up for cardiac calcium grading like a dedicated coronary CT would be. So it’s likely that they can’t provide more than just that there’s calcium present.

Ok thanks, it looks like I have another medical rabbit hole to go down.

yea, i bet it's just a big chunk of scar tissue. i've been thinking, if i were a more anal compulsive person like Brute Enforcer Emeritus i could burn another hole on the other side so its symmetrical. i mean, it's tempting.
Please don't... is it still hard or did it dissapate?

I did the same thing the minute I received my results. Plugged each finding into to Dr. Google's AI.

I'm still not sure I understand it tho:

The heart is normal in size. No pericardial effusion. Aortic and coronary artery calcifications

Does this mean there are no aortic and coronary artery calcifications or that that they found calcification?

I still need to review with my Doc but she is reading the same thing that I am.
It means calcification were found. You may now be tagged with arteriosclerosis. The report should have graded how severe on a scale of 1-4.
Edit:
Was there a period after the pericardial effusion?

Yes, I copy/pasted directly from the results I received. I added the italic font. I will FU with my PCP during my check-in at the end of the month. I am 58 years old and basically lived off of a cheese faucet in my house for like the past 30-40 years, so it wouldn't surprise me to have some calcification.

I had a full echocardiogram and stress test last January and the according my Cardio, everything is pumping/flowing fine, we just need to get the electrical issues figured out (had a cardiac ablation in May). All of this was unrelated to my reason for getting the CT and calcifications are just a extra finding that I will now need to investigate.

i got a calcium channel scan for like 100 bucks. they put you in a real CT machine. the calcifications glow and they grade them. worth it for piece of mind to to know you need to modify your diet or go on statins. i've been on statins a long ass time and i think it has paid off.

Well, I actually had to press for the scan and the appointment with the hematologist. My doc was like "lets wait and see if your ferritin comes down". It has been higher every time I have had my blood checked in the last 2.5 years. I just called her and said I'm going to a hematologist, you can recommend one or I'll just make the appointment and go on my own. Hematologist said, "oh 700 isn't that high, lets watch it". Ferritin of 700 isn't normal and causes fatigue, which I have and had even before starting Tirz. I pressed for the scan and since I am max out of pocket on my insurance, they paid for all of it, so I figured why not get it for peace of mind.

Doc also wouldn't prescribe phlebotomy, which is the safest way to bring it down. Now I am going to just keep giving blood every two months to see if I can bring it down on my own. Yup, bloodletting is still a medical procedure in 2025.
Ya I give double red cells every 3 months. Only takes10 minutes longer. Me being a pure blood, they call me when its time. I want to help the peeps with Cycle cell and others.

I will investigate this scan. I was on a statin with cholesterol in the 230 range. My last test in late October, between the Tirz and 45lb weight reduction, was down to 100 so I stopped the statin. Looking forward to my test at the end of the month to see if I can stay off of it.

I have already modified my diet since starting Tirz back in July. It's weird I used to live off of Pizza and Nachos like literally like 3-4 times a week. Since starting Tirz haven't had, or had the desire for either. For the most part I eat lean proteins and a small amount of carbs primarily because I just don't want the unhealthy stuff. Tirz is amazing!

They did the scan(s) with & without contrast. I don't have the actual scans, just the report and what I pasted was the only relevant mention.

I have high ferritin (but normal iron) and we were making sure there was no asymptomatic cancers hanging around somewhere.
Fatty liver, booze, metabolic syndrome will cause an elevated ferritin with normal iron levels. Also any type of inflammation

I suppose it could be from alcohol, before Tirz I drank a lot of beer. However, I haven't had more than a half-glass of wine since July and I only did that twice (good wine with a good steak). Is it possible it is stored from when I was drinking and giving blood will "clear it out"? Would fatty liver be visible on the CT scan (entire abdomen) I just had? All of my liver enzyme tests are normal and have been normal the entire time that I have had high ferritin.

I just looked up metabolic syndrome (new one for me) and I had high triglycerides & BP in mid-2023 but went on meds and was controlling both, now I'm in a normal range without meds.

My plan is to give blood and test again at the end of the month to see where its at. The docs so far haven't been very insightful and prefer to do nothing but watch it "700 isn't that high". Donating blood helps others and if it lowers my ferritin, its a win-win in my book.

Thank you. I’ll check these things out.

Probably not alcohol if you quit drinking in July. Here is what I used to work up the person I saw with an elevated ferritin and normal iron. Found out she was an avid wine drinker. Yes a fatty liver would show on CT. But and MRI would show it better. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/core/lw/2.0/html/tileshop_pmc/tileshop_pmc_inline.html?title=Click on image to zoom&p=PMC3&id=8125175_jcm-10-02008-g005.jpg

Thank you again for taking the time to look at this. I had a liver MRI back in 2023 when a lung cancer screening showed something on my liver. Liver MRI revealed cysts that were believed to be benign. This was confirmed on the CT I just had. No one has tested my TSAT which seems key to the flow chart you provided.

Strangely, I just got my bloodwork back from the hematologist and ferritin is down to 362 from 729 on 10/29. The only change from October to now (other than some weight loss) is I gave blood in early Nov. This ferritin test was also not tested at LabCorp like all of my other tests but either at the Hematologist's facility (Texas Oncology) or some other unnamed lab. Hopefully, giving blood on Monday will lower it even more when I get tested at the end of the month at LabCorp. If it is still high I will share your chart with my Doctor to see what she thinks.

I hope they told you how common liver cysts are and not a cause for concern. My new liver apparently came with cysts!

Yes! The note on my results actually says "Stable small hepatic cysts" I think the radiologist compared the previous imaging I had done in 2023. Thats crazy that you get a new liver and comes with a few "dings" on it.

Man and I’m starting to get bad bruising on both sides of my gut from the injections.

Reta, lipo-c and nad
Did you happen to get your LiPo C from Kimera? I started noticing the bruising too recently and was able to identify that it was specifically the LIPO-C site. I’m also doing multiple injections each time so it was difficult for me to identify exactly which one cause it, my injections are similar to you but slight different injections, (tirz, NaD, and LIPOc), so now we have something in common that is causing something that I feel like shouldn’t be normal. It has progressed more than just bruisea, now the last two injections of LIPOC I did actually leave a semi permanent lump that’s not really visible but I can feel it when I press down on it. Almost seems like it’s not dissolving entirely. I’m kinda scare of continuing it and was going to make a post asking until I see your comment here. Anyone else have similar experience? I love the energy boost it is giving me though but not sure if the lumps will go away completely soon.

Check for crystallization in the vial by shining a bright flashlight in the bottom of the vial.

They had a bad batch back in October, I called them and they replaced the two vials that I ordered. If not crystalized, give it a good shake before you pin (if you choose to try it again). When I forget to shake it, it's super spicy.

no. I did not try that. Mine doesn’t have any Crystalizations as far as I can see. I stored them in a cool dark dry place as suggested. I ordered my with the most recent batch. But that’s good to know that I can shake them up, I normally just take them out of the drawer, draw, and inject, I handle them very delicately as I thought I was supposed to with peptides.

Also, I’m still currently use them due to the amazing feeling. I’ve never felt this much energy like this in years, or ever? More energy than even before starting tirz and getting the fatigue fog. It’s almost seem like using an illegal substance/drugs. Been doing only .5ml twice weekly, hopefully I won’t have to dose up to 1ml.

Lipo-C is definitely not a peptide I think most of the ingredients are considered amino acids.

I’m happy to report that after doing two additional injections of Pegasus Lipo-C from Kimera last week—and shaking the bottle gently but thoroughly for 1–2 minutes before drawing—the difference in consistency was immediately noticeable! Before using this method, I struggled to draw the solution out of the bottle because it was extremely thick and gooey (not crystallized, just very viscous). However, after shaking, the solution became much more liquid and easy to draw. Best of all, I no longer experience lumps under the skin! The injections now dissolve completely within a few hours. I wish I had known this sooner—these instructions should really be included on the bottle or the website!

That said, I’m a little concerned because the two lumps from previous injections (before I started shaking the bottle) are still there. They almost feel calcified and don’t seem to be going away. I’m wondering if I can try massaging or pinching them forcefully to help them dissolve? Ill probably have to go see my doctor about it soon

Try a massage gun first. I wouldn't "pinch" if there is some damage...
