I have been on adderall for 15 years. I was on brand mounjaro 2 years ago and i noticed my Adderall was less effective. (like 40%less) figuratively... I've done some reading on this and it seems that some have the same problem im having, yet some have the opposite effect. Meaning they could potentially take less and it work the same. So I have to ask, who out there is struggling from less effective adhd meds while on glp1s? And what have you tried to combat it?
Also, who has tried semax & how does it compare?

I've been on Adderall for 23 years. When I started on tirz i did feel like I
wasn't getting and help from my meds plus the fatigue from Tirz on top of it. I've now switched to Reta and don't notice that anymore and can feel my meds just fine. I'm not sure what the difference is. I do have to say that I have taken less Adderall tho because I completely forgot to take it like I forget to eat lol.

I’ve been on adderall for 10 years and Tirz for 4 months. I have noticed no significant change in the effects of my adderall. I’m on IR twice a day though.

i have been noticing that adderall seems less effective especially as i've moved up to 7.5 and 10mg tirz. i can drink literally a pot of coffee and take 20mg adderall now and not get very focused.

Seems the effect is likely from gastrointestinal absorption since GLP-1 peptides delay gastric emptying. That's why they advise not to rely on oral birth control medication while on GLP1's. For some people it may increase absorption, delay absorption or decrease absorption.

here is a study that showed giving mice a shot of an old glp1, exenatide, brand name byetta, which is the original glp1, derived from gila monster spit, before giving them adderall, made them get a lot less dopamine and get a lot less amped up on the adderall.

I've had similar experience with a different medicine. Before starting Tirz, the medicine started working within 20-40 minutes max. On Tirz sometimes it takes over 2 hours on full stomach.

On shit that's bad when you forget to take what's literally reminding you to do stuff 😂
So that's the thing, I've thought about reta but they're no way I'm going to be able to not take my Adderall and the increase in hr scares me. A lady told me on here I believe she started tesa for this reason and her heart rate was sky rocketed for several days. Also appetite suppression on reta I read isn't what our near what tirz is. Did you titrate off of tirz or just switch?

I just switched I've always been on the lowest dose of each ..2.5 since July when I started on Tirzepatide but I've lost over 50lbs so I don't want to titrate up if I don't have to. I literally have to force myself to eat half of the time. It's just like the Reta makes me forget my pills and food, shopping... All sorts of things I usually indulge in. Lol. I did set a reminder on my phone for my Adderall so I quit forgetting them.

My Adderall felt less effective for the first month of using tirzepatide. I'm new to tirzepatide; I started early August of this year. I'm a 23 year veteran of Adderall. Law school would have been so much easier if I had been on a stimulant at the time.

i had to google "gila monster" because i didn't believe that was a real name of a real thing but sure enough it's freakin real. what a cool ass name.

That's why I've stayed away from gila monsters since I've been on Adderall.

I’ve been on 7mg Sema, 15mg Tirz or 10mg Reta individually at some point over the last year and it hasn’t changed how Adderall (20mg IR, twice a day) works for me.
