Long time stalker, first time poster. 😜

My wife wanted to try Reta. I haven't tried Reta and have never had any side effects greater than annoying burps. My wife wanted to be conservative to try to avoid symptoms, so she started at half the starter dose (1 mg). It made her pretty sick; aggresive nausea and diarrhea for about four days. Her joke is that she'll surely lose weight if it keeps up the pattern. Any one have similar experience with Reta to know if these symptoms go away after her body adjusts to the Reta? Or would it be better to give it a go with Tirz instead to see if she reacts the same?

after reading the trials and the research on the forums and seeing most benefits of reta start around 6mg dosage, and that some people tolerate higher starting dosages, and some experience extreme sides, I decided to start at 2mg then every 3-4 days later do 1mg until I noticed sides then stay at that dosage and titrate up. after my first 2mg I didn't have any sides and zero feels, the same 3 days later after 1mg(started to think my reta was fake) I took my 3rd shot of 1mg (4mg total spread over 7 days) and the next day was hit with extreme sides, nausea, diarrhea, sulfur burps..etc. after that I switched to weekly shots and just stayed at 2mg for 2 more weeks and titrated up 1 mg every couple of weeks until I reached 6mg and have been there for a while now. I have zero sides now and have been steadily loosing weight(1-3lbs per week).

I keep reading on the forums and other social media how the benefits of reta begin at the medium to high doses.

I just want to make it clear, the trials completely disagree, with the benefits beginning right away with the starter dose even on just 1mg.
I believe it might be a case of people's expectation being too high and unrealstic, or perhaps they already developed some habituation to glp1 agonism with sema and tirz when they first start reta, or maybe it's just collective delusions. idk.

i had benefits right away. less pronounced at 2mg, but moving to 4mg, I began having great results. I didn't get any sides (still don't have many) and trusted the process. i truly don't understand the desire to titrate up quickly. i'm at 7mg now but wish i could have stayed at a lower dose!
