Greetings everyone. I'm 40 and have struggled with weight management for ~30 years. Over the past 4 years I lost 100lbs through lifestyle changes, i.e. diet, exercise and refraining from alcohol. After a calf muscle tear, depression/drinking ensued and the weight started to creep up. On the advice of a coworker I talked to my doctor who got me on compounded tirzepatide. I've been truly amazed by this medication. I am in control of my decisions rather than a puppet of the voice in my head. Who knew willpower was a short chain of amino acids? I'm using it as part of a multifaceted approach to achieving my health goals and feel that my 40s are going to be the best years of my life.
The uncertainty of the future of compound, relative cost, and my desire to learn led me down the peptide rabbit hole. I've chosen the gray side. I'm here to learn, mitigate risk and connect with other likeminded individuals.
