Agreed. I don't think it's hard to figure out why Amo is popular, particularly if they've figured the stinging out (which - have they? I don't frequent telegram and am unsure if there are still reports). Their product has helped me lose 40lbs and I've fortunately not had any stinging. Their shipping is also almost amazon levels of fast, even from CN. Their sale on reta right now is pretty decent, albeit not the cheapest.Reasons why people buy from Amo — Alibaba instead of crypto; emailing is easy, quick response time; able to ask for shipment to come from intra-USA warehouse; LOTS of testing (see, Reddit’s Stairmaster new Telegram site).
Name change - I like that they change their name; makes me think they are staying nimble. But know they have been around since at least May when I started my Tirz journey and came well recommended from “Ol’ Timers” as relatively safe and well established at that time.
Sting/Filler controversy — Amo doesn’t present product as hard pucks as all my other lyophilized peptides. Product is known to be broken/crumbly/fluffy in appearance which puts some people off. This appearance issue seems to be due to the type of filler used. There were individuals who felt stings or experienced ISRs. Amo replaced and stated it was a bad batch using a new filler. (I subq GHK-Cu and no one has explained whether the Amo sting was anywhere near as painful as a typical GHK-Cu.) Filler in almost all lyophilized peptides is presumed to be mannitol, a sugar alcohol (fact check, do we know it is mannitol that creates hearty pucks?); no one knows what Amo uses. (Note, I have food/environmental/airborne allergies and whatever Amo uses is fine by my weirdly-reactive body.)
Price — definitely NOT the cheapest; but I feel they have a name brand they are working to protect which means a lot to me as a consumer.
So I buy from them, but YMMV. You will find a LOT of dichotomous thinking amongst those of us in GLP1-World. (I WOULD LOVE to do a solid epidemiological study on how many of us were these type of perfectionistic, obsessive, “uncompromisers” and whether that is a factor in what got us to the point we needed GLP1s to begin with — .)
So do your research, develop your rationales, and then proceed with caution never trusting anyone on the internet for their opinion. ;-)
It really just depends what you value in a vendor. I haven't ordered from Amo again as I still have 6 month left of product, but they're definitely staying on my list as my potential next order.
