One thing i've noticed while getting healthier. People treat me different. I'm in sales. And I swear, my close rate is improved since looking healthier. It could be that my confidence is a factor. But more than likely, it's because I look better...

I'm experiencing the same phenomena and it doesn't surprise me one bit I am a little saddened to say.

People form impressions in the first few seconds, that’s just human nature. Looks might open the door, but who you are keeps it open. And honestly, feeling healthier probably boosts confidence, which is what really helps close deals.

I’ve dropped 70 lbs, doing intensive yoga every other day and starting to look a little “chiseled” (for someone in mid 50s).

The last few months, several times I’ve had women my age smile at me just walking around in stores. Never used to happen-
I was just invisible. More people- women and men- start chatting with me while standing in lines.

Kind of nice- and I never want to go off of the glp-1s!

Dude! This just happened to me twice this week. Two different ladies scanned me and did double takes and smiled. I am not used to that kind of attention. I am married and in my 50's but it was still nice and unexpected.
I have had a couple of unsolicited, "you are looking good" from friends who can say that. The same kind of real friends that can say "you look rough" or "your fly is down" or "what's that smell? is it you? is it me?" Those kind of friends.
Who else has gotten unsolicited comments?

I believe it is because most people are shallow, I never paid attention to what your screen name is until you said you're skinnier. So there's that!

The only downside for me after losing 62 lbs is that I now look my age. I kinda didn't before. I'm working on it with topical GHK-Cu mixed with The Ordinary and this stuff rocks. No real tightening, but my complexion has never been better.

And if you want to be invisible in society, wait until you get to your late 60's-70s. It's like people look through you now, not at you.

LOL, yeah dude it freaks you out when that sort of stuff happens. One of my employees wife said "hey your looking good" to me with in ear shot of him. I have never seen anyone shoot such a angry if looks could kill stair EVER!!! But the comment was pretty flattering.

You hit the nail on the head. My baby face is gone, and it has changed how I am perceived at work. It has helped in some areas and hurt in others.
